This series helped me drop tune my 8 string ESP LTD, drop low sting F# to E, used the calculator and 70 bass string, worked like a charm, sounds killer. Thanks, Ola!
Thank you! I can now tune my own Evertune. I have to say when I first heard about these bridges I thought it was something I would never mess with. I so happy I did. Its amazing not having to tune your guitar for the life of the strings.
I must say, this series is really top notch. Very professionally made, straight to the point. Impressive! Great work Ola. I'll be waiting for your series on how to recrown my frets after sprout haha
Thanks Ola, this video helped me setup my Canibalismo perfectly. Of course when I first got it I had to plug it in straight out the box, but the action was a little higher than I like, and I bends were non-existent. So I did the right thing and watched the video, and changed the strings for good measure. The series is helpful especially to truly setup the guitar with the Evertune to adjust tension, action, and intonation for the heavier strings downtuned from the factory setup. Awesome series/playlist and thanks again bro!
Thank you sir I was nervous to get a guitar with this system because I didn’t understand how it worked. Knowing there is a calculator and explaining string gauges I am getting one ASAP with confidence!
I hope you ended up getting what you wanted. I know I was intimidated by the bridge at first. But once I learned how easy it was. And I actually understood what I was doing it became super simple and just as easy to change strings than any other standard bridge guitar. In fact easier in a sense that I don't have to wait for my strengths to break in. I'm older like 56 years old if you told me there'd be guitar that stayed in perfect tune that simply use springs and physics I'm not sure I would have believed it. Well here we are with a maintenance-free bridge.
so in the calculator "desired note to play" is each string NOTE as in A string, D string, G string, etc.. or do I have to pick an over all Tune as in Drop D or Standard A?..
Ola, if I need a low tension saddle on the distressed hardware color, where would I get that? Evertune website doesn’t list the distressed color. I have a A1.6D-LTD, Thanks
Ok cool, I'm getting a Dean ML with one of these bridges and I was wondering if I'd need a PhD to change over to a drop B. Between this and the fishman pups I can't wait till it comes in
I find when I go up zone zone 3 then back down to zone 2 so I can bend, the pitch of the string goes up slightly, then I have to go back into zone 2 and tune it so it's slightly flat on each string for when I go into bending mode so its actually in tune.
Exactly. Just wanted to say the same thing and even give a tip for other players to leave a note slightly untuned in Zone 2 so that when you adjust the bend sensitivity the note won't go sharp.
It seems that the strings add less pounds with an Evertune. Would this make an LP scale of 24.75 even less desired for C standard? Half of the Ernie Ball Mammoths work with the LP scale, while the other half recommends low tension modules. Does module mean a full saddle for every string, or is every module a single saddle like on a mono-bridge?
I've got two evertune guitars. One ESP Horizon and a LTD EC-1000. The Evertune string tension calculator isn't 100% right. I tried to use a 10-46 for drop d on the ESP. The low E string became too slack and too much back to the bridge when intonated. It looked in tune when tuned and intonated but when I fretted it was out of tune. The low E was way too sharp. I had to use a 52 instead. Similar problem with the LTD which is a 24.75 scale guitar. I tuned it to D standard with a 10-52 string gauge. All the strings worked fine except the low E. Same problem as with the ESP, way too sharp and out of tune. I had to use a 56 instead.
Man, i wish this series was made earlier... I have an evertune guitar and im pretty sure i've fucked it up over the years due to not understanding the system... The manual and Evertune's own instructional videos are really bad compared to this series... thanks a lot!
Hi, sorry I think I'm missing something. So I'm trying to set my guitar up in A# standard. Currently it's in D#. So I'll be going to a barritone tuning. I checked the calculator and the strings I want to use seem fine. But I am looking for is how to go from one tuning to another because it naturally sits at D#. I have watched this video three times and I feel like I am missing a step? Can anyone elaborate on how I can make sure it sets up to A# rather than D#. Thanks!
No stretching neccesary. When you put the new string on, as long as it's the same gauge string on the bridge keeps the string at constistent tension because of the dynamic saddles. It's to the point where you don't even need a tuner to change strings because the bridge does all the work for you and you can just watch the saddle movement, get it to zone 2 and you're golden. It's the best being able to restring a guitar entirely in like 2 minutes and have it back to your desired tuning in literally no time at all and not have to worry about it pitching out at all.
Do you need to have the fine tuning bottomed out or tighten up before you wanna down tune? The action screws looks to be bottomed out before you turn the headstock tuner. Not in the manual as far as I know. All that kinda info I'm missing and I can't get my NEW Solar tuned up. So much so I just wanna sell or burn the damn thing after 6 hours of fiddling with it. This did not help me. I need help.
When in zone 3, does the guitar go out of tune like any other bridge, or does it compensate even in zone 3? I'm curious because I'm thinking of putting one on my Amarok. If the bridge acts like any other bridge in zone 3 then I might give it a miss. If anyone can let me know, I'd appreciate it.
Only zone 2 provides the Evertune tuning stability, but most dealers will tell you that zone 3 still keeps the tuning better than other bridges, as long as you are the edge between zone 2/3
I have pretty much given up on just "going into zone 3 to allow for bending" after tuning in zone 2. It just doesn't work and throws the tuning out the window if I do that! I'm kind of forced to stay in zone 2 on the evertune.
I have a 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Special I (wraparound bridge model Special) and the only reason I tune it so often is because it’s my only guitar so I’m constantly tuning between E standard, Drop D, C and Drop C
Is it normal, that after switching to thicker strings with lower tunings (Solar V1.7 FBB to B flat (Bb Eb Ab Db F Bb Eb) and setting everything up (even stretched the new strings) that after some days, the tension gets lower, so I'm out of zone 2?
I couldn't find the answer to my problem.. my guitar was tuned in standard E. I changed the string tension (10 46) to switch to standard D. I arrive at zone two only once the note of low E has been reached. it's as if the evertune system had memorized my previous setting.
If you used a 46-10 set for both tunings the bridge will 'remember' the last tuning you were in as the tension between nut and bridge hasnt changed. You'll need to get the string to zone 2 and then detune to D standard.
I have an issue where my thickest string on my 7-string pretty easily goes sharp when I pick it a bit to hard. Will an evertune healp with something like this? Also: is it hard to go to drop A with it?
Probably you can tune your guitar every tuning but if you want working ever tune mode you should check string tension calculator. But I don’t know maybe wrong.
Ok, cool, just ordered a esp mh1007 and ima be annoyed if i cant play some korn songs outta the box😂 so hopefully some new strings is all i would need 😁
No, but the problem with tuning in zone 1 and 3 is you don't hear any change in pitch when you tune at the bridge so you can potentially cause damage to the saddle if you turn them too much and the top/bottom out. I had a a saddle top out not long after getting my first Solar and it's a mistake I've not made since. Basically, always make bridge adjustments in zone 2 and if you change the string height or intonation be sure to double check you're still in zone 2. It's very easy to come out of it by making small intonation adjustments.
Way easier than I anticipated.

This bridge had me about to go straight Suicide Silence in my Canibalismo until I found this series lol.
Thank you Ola! I thought this was hard but it's way easier than most tremolo systems out there.
This is the info I needed. Great series Ola!
Ola never fails to deliver the information we needed.
I must say, this series is really top notch. Very professionally made, straight to the point. Impressive! Great work Ola.
I'll be waiting for your series on how to recrown my frets after sprout haha
This is awesome. Thank you Ola.
Straight up to the point, I can finally bend on my ESP Eclipse! You da man Ola!!
That is what I needed : String Tension Gauge Calculator!!! Now I fianlly understand what my problem is :) Thanks!
This explanation is great!

Pretty nice I can use a 10-52 setup and tune to B standard/Baritone on a 6 string. Thanks for the helpful info.
Thanks for this video! Can't wait to put new strings on my 1.7TBR!
Can someone explain like how you know when you are in zone 2?
Thanks Ola, just got my first Evertune.
No bullshit to the point info as usual.
Pretty cool explained, even me as a drummer understands now how to tune my new guitar which is driving me nuts currently
If only I had this video when I tried to change strings on my new SB1.6FOB 🤦♂️
Took my hours...But now I’m a happy man.
Thanks Ola 🤘
This may be 3 years old but Ola as always gives the info you need
this got me to my MESHUGGAH tuning. Thanks ola
Best tutorial on this. I'm seeing results quick!
Looks easy. I bought Solar AB.1 7W yesterday, I'll tune to DROP A. We'll see ...
Ola is so serious here, it‘s almost scary... Good video!
Thanks Ola, great video.

What is the higher string gauge/diameter allowed by solar head tuners ?
When putting new strings on, do you even need to go through the process of stretching each string out? Or will the Evertune take care of that?
so in the calculator "desired note to play" is each string NOTE as in A string, D string, G string, etc.. or do I have to pick an over all Tune as in Drop D or Standard A?..
Does anyone know the lowest tuning a 6 string guitar with an evertune bridge will go ?
Ola, this is just great. 🤘👏👏👏
Anyone knows what the standard string gauge on the Solar Guitars is? Like the gauge they are shipped with?
Ola, if I need a low tension saddle on the distressed hardware color, where would I get that? Evertune website doesn’t list the distressed color. I have a A1.6D-LTD, Thanks
If a guitare come in D standard from the factory can i still up tuning it to E standard ?
Ok cool, I'm getting a Dean ML with one of these bridges and I was wondering if I'd need a PhD to change over to a drop B. Between this and the fishman pups I can't wait till it comes in

@@bearonguitar yes, I do this already. Just thought maybe what I say might be helpful for someone else.
So, they can use a different set of springs to change the tension so you could use a lighter set of strings, if I'm understanding correctly.
As a beginner would this be a good choice?
It seems that the strings add less pounds with an Evertune. Would this make an LP scale of 24.75 even less desired for C standard? I keep breaking strings at the tuning peg. Any suggestions? Nut lube? IDK
I've got two evertune guitars. One ESP Horizon and a LTD EC-1000. The Evertune string tension calculator isn't 100% right. I tried to use a 10-46 for drop d on the ESP. How I can know what module the Evertune have?
Please, does string tension stay same as standard tuning when you down tune ?
Hi Ola, do you strech strings after changing?
It is possible to set drop tune on evertune? on just standard tunes?
Man, i wish this series was made earlier... I have an evertune guitar and im pretty sure i've fucked it up over the years due to not understanding the system... The manual and Evertune's own instructional videos are really bad compared to this series... thanks a lot!
Could i tune it to drop c using ghs 11-50 strings

Does this works on headless guitar?
Great advice.
Hi Ola, do you stretch the strings after replacing them with new ones?
No stretching neccesary. When you put the new string on, as long as it's the same gauge string on the bridge keeps the string at constistent tension because of the dynamic saddles. Bless this video
is there any list of what modules work with what string gauges? 8.5 gauge seem to require the lower tension module but i sometimes like 9s.
Use the calculator bro
Do you need to have the fine tuning bottomed out or tighten up before you wanna down tune? The action screws looks to be bottomed out before you turn the headstock tuner. OLA !!!! My high e keeps breaking with my solar evertune bridge!!??? I tried everything… I’m a newby to evertune??!!!! 😢
When in zone 3, does the guitar go out of tune like any other bridge, or does it compensate even in zone 3? I'm curious because I'm thinking of putting one on my Amarok. If the bridge acts like any other bridge in zone 3 then I might give it a miss. If anyone can let me know, I'd appreciate it.

how much will the evertune bridge allow you to bend a note when in zone 3? Like full step+ bends or just a little pitch shift? Thank you!!!
Basically normal bends/vibrator - plenty of youtube samples out there.
I have pretty much given up on just "going into zone 3 to allow for bending" after tuning in zone 2. It just doesn't work and throws the tuning out the window if I do that! I'm kind of forced to stay in zone 2 on the evertune.
i used epiphone les paul for years, i dont remember i played 20 minutes without tuning the guitar, this feels like a witchcraft and magic lol
I have a 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Special I (wraparound bridge model Special) and the only reason I tune it so often is because it’s my only guitar so I’m constantly tuning between E standard, Drop D, C and Drop C
What about setting intonation?
Is it normal, that after switching to thicker strings with lower tunings (Solar V1.7 FBB to B flat (Bb Eb Ab Db F Bb Eb) and setting everything up (even stretched the new strings) that after some days, the tension gets lower, so I'm out of zone 2?

Yes if setup correctly (yes this is your job as a customer at the moment you change strings and tuning) it will definetly fix that issue.
What? No Chug? Bad!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Just kidding. You are awesome!!!
Probably you can tune your guitar every tuning but if you want working ever tune mode you should check string tension calculator. But I don’t know maybe wrong.
Yup, perfect video
Ok, cool, just ordered a esp mh1007 and ima be annoyed if i cant play some korn songs outta the box😂 so hopefully some new strings is all i would need 😁

What about the nut? 🤔🤔🤔
Will the Evertune break if you tune the bridge when you`re in Zone 1 or 3?
No, but the problem with tuning in zone 1 and 3 is you don't hear any change in pitch when you tune at the bridge so you can potentially cause damage to the saddle if you turn them too much and the top/bottom out. I want one.
what does zone 2 mean?
I play C F A# D# G C
So I hope this video helps, I don’t want to be stuck on E through E
Thanks In Advance...!!! ;)
Thanks for the info. I'm old school ill stay with Floyd rose.
Tackar!
Please someone answer! Is evertune keeps the tune like the floyd rose? So basically evertune is a floyd rose but not? lol
not a fan of the evertune
Cool story
But I’m doing your mom!
