I agree with Draymond. I always saw Kuminga as a three, not a four. We won't see Kuminga reach his full potential until he is allowed to play his proper position.
Kerr likes to spread the floor and Kuminga shooting 32% from 3 is why they won't play him at 3 when they have 2 non shooters with Dray and TJD. Kuminga has to become a better 3pt shooter to gain Kerrs trust
Kuminga player comp is more Julius Randle. A undersized PF who likes to attach the hole. A mid range game and occasionally hit a wide open 3. In just think he leaves too much on defense and rebounding. His passing is getting better. Slows down the offense though with his iso.
@javierlandaverde4108 I think it's a little early for comparisons given how young he is. Kuminga has made strides with his shooting and ball handling skills. As for position, considering how the league is getting bigger every year, it would disservice to Kuminga play position won't be able to defend the opposing player. It is like Draymond. There are a lot of skills the Kuminga lacks in order to effective PF.
@@javierlandaverde4108 your wild for saying this. historically cant shoot or defend as well as klay. fact is your only seeing moody against 2nd team/bench squads. you can't evaluate him because he is never playing against the starters. Its also a deminer thing, he is quiet and that equates to people forgetting about you in a crowded team. some times showing your better isn't enough. guess what kuminga was scoring 20 a game, wiggs is irreplicable until we have another wing his size for defense, and he doesn't shoot well enough to play a klay roll. he is not a threat out there. thats why klay wa so dangerous, he pulled defenses as much as Steph does, and no one on this team is close to that except Buddy H. he is the only one on the team almost 40%/yr shooting the 3 and beats klay in percentage alot recently in seasons. we need someone who is going to pull defenses or make the shots and i dont trust moody yet. he will get there, but starting over more talented players is a no go.
@@Nosugarcoatingme Look man all KD and Poole had to do was punch Draymond in da face and this shit is solved. The thing with Draymond is u not gonna stop him unless someone from the opposing team lands a punch on him.😂😂😂😂
Dubs fans need to change their outlook on this team: we already have the new team, it’s Moses, JK, both of whom have been champions, and Trayce and Podz at the core, then we are LUCKY ENOUGH to add 2 HOF players in Steph and Dray, one of which is a top 5 ever in Steph. Then we have more champions in Wiggins, GP2 and Loon, and great contributors who could start in Melton, Hield and Anderson. Add in Post, Waters and Santos and if coached well, and allowed to develop, that’s a team that could do extremely well Start Steph, Moses, JK, Draymond and TJD
Waters is the Klay replacement! His passion and confidence, to catch and shoot, literally mimics Klay Thompson! Not to mention Waters is also 6’6 just like Klay!
The team needs JK to start playing SMART basketball…. IMO JK is overrated due to his ELITE athleticism... In order for the Warriors to contend, Kuminga needs to make that leap. Potential is a dangerous, like hope. JK has all the ability in the world, but the light needs to turn on…. Let’s Hope THIS IS JK’s year! 🔥🔥🔥
Damn… Moody getting disrespected by that article, not even mentioned. Hmmmm. I’ve always liked Moody! This team seems deep, but who’s gonna be “Robin” to Curry as “Batman”…. JK maybe?
It's weird seeing the Warriors have so much young players on the team, knowing they were really a vet team. Maybe this will be they knew success journey!
I love the thorough analysis, without making the video too long! But - you forgot to mention the most natural option for the opening 2 spot - Buddy. Why wouldn't they want to start with the 2 best 3pt shooters of the decade together? Easy. And Podj will be used more as a point guard replacement for Steph probably. Otherwise, who will be the PG replacer? When neither of them is on the floor, Draymond will be the PointForward. Overall, it seems like there are about 3 players for each position, rotating. When injuries start, the 3rd option will get more minutes. Also, it's very likely that a significant trade will happen later on at deadline. 1 - Steph | Podj | Melton 2 - Buddy | Moody (Melton / Podj) | Waters 3 - Wiggins | Kuminga | Payton (/Knox) 4 - Green | Kyle | Knox (/Payton) 5 - Looney | TJD | Post (Santos, Spencer, Beekman, Rowe are emergency only. Spencer diplayed some high basketball IQ and energy)
If Kerr could please get out of his head and trust what he sees on the floor vs. the numbers, the starting five (5) would be the following: 1. Steph Curry 2. Moses Moody 3. Johnathan Kuminga 4. Draymond Green 5. Trayce Jackson-Davis. It is that simple. That's a very athletic, young, fast, and hungry lineup to take on these other top-heavy teams in the league. Will is the most crucial element to basketball vs talent. Will is what births elite talent. You have Podz run the second unit with Wiggins as the first two to come off the bench. Then sub Melton, GPII, Anderson, and Looney in whatever defensive/game flow decisions. Bring Buddy Hield in for sharpshooting, and you will have a powerful bench unit on this team under Steve Kerr's dynamic system. It's very simple. We would be extremely fast and reach that top 2 defense Steve Kerr is looking for. Defense and cohesion wins championships. Not just talent. Klay Thompson's departure hurt, but it would be a blessing in disguise. It now allows Steve Kerr to finally coach instead of managing egos and loyalties to previous eras.
I'm rooting especially for Moody and TJD. Interested to see how Post does. Don't want to see Anderson. Wiggins should not be around the team if he's sick ...what the hell.
@Sonoma_Coast Gsw staff is garbage. They lack size and confidence. I love Podz, Lindy and TJD. It's sad that they passed on true bigs Sengun and F.Wagner.
@@Nosugarcoatingmeto be fair Wagner was only 6'8" when he got drafted after younger JK (6'7")...nobody could've predicted FW would grow to 6'10" over the younger JK.
There’s times I feel like I see who the starting lineup should be, but to be honest with how much new energy and talent has been infused into this team this year. It’s better to just let them play it out in preseason and early season and see how it goes. There’s a lot of question marks
@@Nosugarcoatingme Knox is 6'8" forward, while Moody is a 6'5" shooting guard...Knox had a lot of chance in NY, while Moody hasn't been given a fair chance....different players, archetype and career trajectories thus far.
Moody is better than all the other guys competing for the starting 2 spot. Long, young and gifted. The others are bench players. Kerr is a piss poor developmental coach and evaluator of talent.
Forgot Moody? Nah, Kerr has made it abundantly clear that Moody will never start, or even get 20 minutes a game, while he is coaching the Warriors. Another team will get him for cheap, likely in a package deal, and then he can finally show his true value.
Moody and kuminga have been with the team for the same amount of time. For whatever reason steve kerr finds a reason not to play these guys over the last 3 years. That's why kuminga gets so frustrated. Last year he gave Moses moody minutes to a rookie and relegated klay Thompson to the bench.
@@Iguessitsme he'll be benched before he reaches 20. He can score 6 straight 3s in 2 mins and Kerr will bench him to make room for his 4 guard lineup with Draymond at center.
GSW has not had a roster issue. They've had a coaching issue. Kerr doesn't know how to use the players he does have so there will games they'll lose because of his rotation such as at least 5 games where he made mistakes not playing JK and Moody at crucial times in games. Two games in particular, Sac and Mia. But there were at least 5 games. I eventually stopped watching the nonsense especially since everyone who seem to know basketball are afraid to call out the obvious issue.
No, yall just are delusional. Y'all overrate yall medicore players and act loke they are all nba caliber players 😂. Teams dont want Kuminga nor Moody but yall think yall can trade them for all stars 😂
They should have fired Kerr last season. He cost them a solid 5 games. There’s times he just refuses to change his rotation even when it’s obvious he should. There’s other times he just doesn’t sub curry back in.
@@blowc1612No, Kerr is a mediocre coach who excels at keeping players like Kuminga and Moody from becoming All-Stars. To think Kerr is an NBA caliber coach is delusional...
I think it's less about who starts than who finishes. I think some combination of Curry, Moody, Melton, Wiggs, Dray, and JK is the Warriors' best version of the small ball lineup where everyone but Curry can switch on anything and there are long arms everywhere to disrupt the passing lanes and block shots. Moody may be 6-5, but his arms are 7-1 and you can't duplicate that with Podz, Hield, etc.
Starting lineup: TJD, Draymond, Kuminga, Moody, Steph! That would be a solid lineup to start with lots of firepower off the bench! TJD can play and needs the minutes to shine! Draymond has a lot of miles on his knees and needs to not have to bang on centers all game long! Kuminga has star power and needs to be on the floor for it to blossom! Moody has been very good when given minutes, it’s time he gets them! Steph!!!
I think it could be a good thing, investing in their future. Who knows maybe their potential will evolve to that next level with playing time. I did say "could." There are no guarantees in the NBA, just my opinion
@@SwishCulture🤣 yeah because youre a wannabe. The description of the channels alone show you are a delusional idiot. 🤣 Bet agaonst the Warriors? Yeah IT WOULD BE AN EASY BET. Stacked? 🤣 Fear? 🤣 CLUELESS
B Pod is a point guard and will be coming in when Steph is out. HE IS NOT A SHOOTING GUARD, but a more than adequate point guard who plays defense well. I think the starting lineup will be and should be whatever Kerr decides.
This is 100% on the money. I don't know why people think Podz will play 2 beside Steph. It just reeks of transition defense issues. To me, I have always thought he was the backup PG to steph.
I'd start Steph, Moody, Kuminga, Dray, and Trayce. If Loon's jumper is real, he's gonna be getting a lot of play time as well, and of course Podz will too.
I think Melton should start with Wiggins. If Wiggins is motivated and back in shape, like they say he is, I think he's more reliable, like Kevon. I think Pods should lead 2nd unit with Kuminga, Moody, Trayce. Anderson and Hield should intermingle in the starting line up and 2nd unit, depending on match ups. Waters should definitely have some playing time on the 2nd unit. I know they better give Moody playing time. He was definitely one of the best defenders out there. There's definitely room for all of the players to get time if Kerr would only open his mind. Kerr needs to try some different offensive strategies that play to to his players' strengths, instead of trying to force them into schemes meant only for Steph. Simplify things for the young players.
There hasn't been any signal that Kerr will make Wiggs a 2guard. He hasn't played that position since Minny. In order to be a starting 2 guard....he must return to All star wiggs and shoot 38% or higher from 3. If Wiggs struggles....no way he is the 2 guard
Wiggins shot 38% or higher from 3, three out of the last 4 years, shooting just shy of 40% in '23. Klay was in the lineup last season and healthy for 77 games. Wiggs struggled shooting last season so understandably he wasn't in that role. Considering the push for JK as a 3, the only natural order would be to have Wiggins play the 2. The dubs aren't putting $27 million on the bench in a year Steve Kerr has high optimism for him to return to form. WIggins at the 2 would allow the Warriors to play Kuminga, Draymond and Trayce/Loon which Kerr is trying to do. It's easier to bench Melton (size) & Hield (defense).
The Dubs have a big weakness in their defense of the 5. TJD is just too small and not quick with his feet on defense. In their favor, the Warriors are a great passing team which is a huge plus.
That is also my starting 5. KT’s replacement is Lindy Waters. He made 34 points 8 3-pt shots during their GLeague championship and won. He is proven. 5 out seven 3’s with buzzer beating shot yesterday. This kid has proved so many times…he is the baby KT a much better version.
We were very solid last year, we could’ve won most of our games. The weakest link with Klay. The bay loves Klay but if you were really watching gsw then you knew he was the problem. All we had to do this off season was find a solid replacement for him, and we found multiple. Dray needs to chill out Wiggins needs to show up and our younger guys need to continue to develop. We’ll be good if we can do that Hopefully stouts and stackhouse can help out too. Kerrs a solid coach but his rotations have been trash the past couple of years
I’ve often supported BP starting over Moody, but the reality is they’re both great & both can contribute. Regardless of who starts, I think Moody & BP each should have at least 26mins. I’m not sure what the best chemistry is … liked BP stating because of his hustle, rebounding, taking charges, & decision making. Believe he gives SC more shot opportunities. BP’s +/- is always high & he makes the people around him better. Why not bring that to a line up with SC & give SC more opportunities to do SC things. With that said Moody looks great. He needs to play & if that means starting b/c of chemistry then that likely is a good choice. Stef, Moody, Wiggins, JK, & DG sounded intriguing. With an adjustment for a bigger center when playing certain teams. The depth on GSW is great. Most nights doubt there is much of a drop off b/t 1 team & 2nd team. - SC - Wiggins (2022 Wiggs = must start, 2023 Wiggs = 2nd team) - JK - DG - Moody - BP - TJD - BH - SlowMo - GP II - Melton (Solid 11 man rotation) -------- - Looney (reserve & certain matchups) - 2 more reserves to round out 14 (possibly LW & Post) Obviously SC & DG get their usual mins, and Wiggs & JK get high mins if playing at a high level. After these 4 I think BP & Moody should likely have the highest mins (assuming they’re playing at a high level). Then the other 5 in the 11 man rotation fill in when & where needed. Can imagine so many different combos with these 11 & I don’t think any starters matter except for SC & DG.
Swish, you’re worried about moody’s 36%, but not taking his lack of minutes into consideration. When he starts, he’s a 40% deep shooter and shoots 50% overall. It’s all about minute consistency not his own shot consistency.
Steve Kerr's a lot more worried about it than I am. Moody has shot 36% every year since high school and he did get decent minutes in college. That said, he should be able to make a leap in his shooting. Most players do.
The sad part of this game is everyone that played well are players KERR will DNP this season....except Melton. Wiggs didn't play, Curry shot bad, Kuminga missed all his 3s, TJD couldn't stop Zubac, Podz missed all his 3s. Held missed all but 1....3pter
That's why there's no cause to be worried. Those players are typically experimenting with new ideas/playstyles and just going through the motions to get into rhythm.
Hield didn't look like he could handle the ball. He seems better fit to be a bench piece that they sub in in small spurts to throw the opponent's defense off and space the floor. Using him as a disruptor would probably be the best upside and prevent the opponents from scheming against him to force turnovers.
Podz and Kuminga play ass yesterday, i know it's a pre season game and I hope they bounce back and play great onwards because if not JK will not getting that bag and Podz will be hounded by the fans.
Podz was terrible, but he was also terrible in summer league last year and played well once he got going. JK was trying to change his role a bit. He wasn't selfishly attacking the basket and was showing that he can control the pace of the game and look out for his teammates. He definitely didn't have a great game however.
I hate to say it but we have the same problem as last year. Lineup is kinda too deep. 8 man rotation at max should do it but I feel like we have alot of redundancy. There is simply too many players you cant really pair up together because we quickly lack either seize or spacing.
David, you've got very good insight. I considered this topic before and it would seem that some consolidation is necessary. Either that or Steve Kerr himself takes a leap in managing players' minutes. Great comment!
Given the moves in the off season (or lack in some cases) Guards: Steph starting, plenty of minutes for Pods, Hield and Melton Forwards: Wiggins, Kuminga and Anderson Draimond Green split as a false Center and then as a Forward when Wiggins or Kuminga are not in the court TJD, Looney and Post as Centers whenever the spot is available (in that order most likely, so TJD basically) Scrap minutes for the rest unless they pull of some incredible performances in the off chances they'll likely get Barring injuries or disaster, anything else would raise questions on the management (why not trade or why bring in people you are not going to play?) That or somehow play with several very different rotations, consistently, which I don't think is Kerr's ideal plan
It's funny how everyone thinks that warriors is not even a play in team, but any true warrior fan will see that this team have the ability for top 3 team in the west, and will be won by probably the best perimeter defense, we now have players that can funnel the opposing offense into a waiting tjd or slo mo. The warriors last year was abysmal with klay and Wiggins poor performance with draymond Suspension. The fact that klay is gone kerr have no choice but to not play "agenda" ball, this year gonna be fun 💍
Let’s be real here. Warriors have some nice players, but guys who have ever come into a playoff game and made an impact are Curry, Draymond, GP II, and Wiggins, and the later two did it for just one season. Curry and Dray are long in the tooth. Guys that opponents have to make special game plans for is just Curry at this point. Ironically, the Warriors lack three point shooting. Curry is great…and who else? Maybe Lindy Waters. Can Lindy play D like Klay used to? A small team that cannot stretch the floor is not going to be competitive, and one that doesn’t have amazing defense is going to get crushed. I don’t see top three in any scenario. OKC and Minnesota are way better, Memphis will be healthy and tough, Dallas is a serious problem, Denver and the Spurs will have something to say, Sacramento still has a very good team, Houston made a strong late season run last year and will be better this year, Pelicans could easily be in the mix too. Teams Warriors are better than if the guys we have meet expectations : Clippers, Lakers, Suns, Blazers, Jazz…maybe Pelicans and Rockets and Denver. That puts the Warriors in the 7-10 play-in range.
@@tribalypredisposed We are actually pretty decent on 3 point shooting. Curry and Hield, with Waters, Melton and Moody showing a lot of promise too. The only problem is all our 3 point shooters are a liability on defense. Everything else I agree with though. We're still undersized and have too many holes defensively. Our offense isn't the threat that it used to be in our championship runs. For an *average* NBA team, we look really good. But we don't look championship caliber or remarkable in any way.
@@Urbrosfriends2ndcuz Okay, we have a handful of guys who we expect to be good for threes, but we are going to play two of those guys at a time, max. Maybe just one if Podz is starting. We have to see Wiggins return to 40% from three to get decent spacing on the floor. Or Draymond can regain his 2015 form from three. He was pretty good last season. Anyways, we basically agree, reality is that this is what the draft system is designed to do to team contending for rings for eight years; make them come down to Earth. You cannot draft 28th seven out of eight years and remain a contender unless you rob some other teams blind in trades. Especially if your highest pick in that stretch is a bust. A 28th pick who is a steal is still nearly always not as good as most of the guys picked in the top eight.
# 1: Steph, Wiggs (if available + if the effort is there + if he plays back into his former MVP self, etc., etc.,etc. I really hope the old Wiggs comes back.), Kuminga, Trace. If Wiggs can't answer then it's Moses. # 2: Podz, (then either Heild or Melton or Watters lll. This wiill shake out.), Moses, Kyle, Loon. This gives us scoring, ball handling, ball inside lob and rim protection, and a mix of experience and youthful energy on both squads. Can we do better in all catagories? You play with what you have. BTW, if Moses is out of the rotation AGAIN, then we get whatever we can to get rid of Kerr, even if it means paying someone (anyone) to take him out of the orginization. Might be a good idea even if Moses is in the rotation. Make that IT IS A GOOD IDEA even if Moses is in the rotation. Kerr's time in the league has long since past. The league has changed, and his stubborn refusial to recognize and admit this, and his prejudices against certain players is just wrong. Yeah I know, his experiences in the league. But this is exactly why he's hanging onto the outdated practices.
I don't think there is one specific lineup that is obviously better that the others, but there are things that I think should be implemented. 1. JK shouldn't play the 4 and should probably play the 3. 2. dray shouldn't play the 5 and should play the 4 instead 3. I personally think that the 2 guard should change throughout the season depending on the team they are up against if they cant find the single best 2 guard on the team (this one is just a thought and probably wont happen) I'm not very experienced when it comes to making theoretical lineups for teams, but this is just what I would keep in mind when thinking of the starting 5.
Stack and Stotts gotta take over lineup responsibilities. Melton and TJD get first crack next to Steph and Dray with Wiggs for defense. JK will be first off bench if Wiggs isn’t engaged
I think its better to start moody JK, green Trace alongside Curry. Let Wiggins work back to his old self from 2022. He doesn't deserve to hold that spot give a chance Moody and JK to grow and showcase their skills
Moody is listed as a SG. I will admit it seems Kerr views players through a singular perspective. Kerr at 6' 3 was a shooting guard. He'll play anyone over 6' 4 as a sf and anyone 6'6 and over as a center. He evaluates guard skills and doesn't seem to be able to do much else. Maybe revamp the coaching staff. Oh wait they did that so...let's see how things shape up this season with stackhouse.
Kerr bench players. He benches Moody and only gives him garbage time. Kerr doesn't care about rotation. He will have some favorites and will give them all the minutes they want. Awful coach. I hope he retires before he destroys the team too much. But he has a huge ego and very stubborn. He apologizes to the media when he makes mistakes but come the next game, he goes back to his stubborn ways. Kerr is the problem of the team. The team is Deep but Kerr doesn't give enough playing time to everyone and he doesn't care.
Dubs are stacked with talent this year Let's see if he is able to use his chips the right way without keeping young players undeveloped by keeping them as a bench warmer #4 software in the playoffs?
Waters won't play in the season unless there is an injury. He's a 2 way player and there are too many guards ahead of him....but he should play some imo
I didn't watch the whole game but from what I've seen tjd was not looking so good on defense. There were multiple defensive possessions where tjd couldn't contain the opposing player which led to easy buckets at the rim because of the lack of size in the paint. This probably can be hidden by defensive schemes that puts tjd in or nearer to the paint than he was in this first match.
@@SwishCulture he sucks at three point shooting. He’s not a consistent shooter and and doesn’t shoot them in volume. So there’s zero spacing on the floor
Waters can shoot. He's NOT NBA ready..physically weak.. Gets pushed off his spot and he's a bad defender ...he's not gonna make it ...but he can get stronger
If the Warriors aren't going to play Moody then they should trade him. He's too good to rot on our bench. He has a promising nba career ahead of him and he gets better every year. Warriors need to make some decisions in their guard heavy squad.
Now Swish, I've been telling you all along that Pods wasn't the answer, dude should be coming off the bench. He's average at best and it was a slap in the face of Klay Thompson to have him coming off the bench backing up this clown. As for Moses Moody, I've been telling you for 2 seasons they need to move from him because he hasn't shown any improvement. Normally players start showing promise at 3 seasons but he still plays timid. Perhaps with Thompson's huge shadow gone he can step up, the jury is still out on him. The starting shooting guard should be Buddy Hield hands down, it's not even close. The starting 5 should be Curry, Hield, Wiggins, Green and Davis. Hield is proven and has been a starter basically his entire career. Melton should be the guy that leads the second unit coming off the bench, followed by Moody. And if Moody doesn't show any improvements after the first 25 games, he along with Pods and possibly Kuminga should be put in a package.Wiggins is quick but I wouldn't put him in the backcourt with Curry. I'm still not confident in Kuminga at all because he still has way to many mental lapses on defense.Steve Kerr will probably have a starting 5 of Curry, Wiggins, Kuminga, Green and Davis, adding height to the backcourt.
@@SwishCulture Thanks for responding. I know it may seem like I'm hard on Kuminga, but in case you haven't noticed, I've been tough on ALL the young talent Golden State drafted. I qas equally as tough on James Wisemen and Jordan Poole, so I'm definitely not going to let up on Kuminga and Moody. These guys have been in the system long enough to have shown vast improvements and should be taking that next step forward in helping Stephen Curry and Draymond Green run the team, none have shown me anything. Kuminga's numbers are mere stats, nothing more. Kind of like LeBron James stats, his numbers aren't helping the Lakers and neither has Kuminga's. So please don't go producing videos screaming out stats, because stats do not tell the whole story. I played ball so I know how stats can be misleading.
The battle for the two-guard spot is heating up, but should the Warriors prioritize defense with Melton or go all-in on Moody’s improved offense? What would you choose?

Andrew Wiggins better than all others, JK needs to get better if he wants the spot from him. Moody should be main scorer off bench. Draymond at 5 will be best for this team but unsustainable during regular season.
Well, Wiggs will need to come back and take the spot. I think he'll have it come starting night and I'd love to see him alongside JK, Draymond and a center but we'll see.
This I’d the most rage bait title ever. But the 2022 Warriors were really good before Klay came back. So, maybe they’ll be aight. But also 2020 and 2021 seasons left most teams in a bad spot going into 2022
I agree with Draymond. I always saw Kuminga as a three, not a four. We won't see Kuminga reach his full potential until he is allowed to play his proper position.
Which is on the bench
Kerr likes to spread the floor and Kuminga shooting 32% from 3 is why they won't play him at 3 when they have 2 non shooters with Dray and TJD. Kuminga has to become a better 3pt shooter to gain Kerrs trust

If there's chemistry, I don't care who we are playing. Our bench should outscore any bench in the league
@KingOnema I'm sorry to say this but Green has messed up Gsw chemistry for good.
@Nosugarcoatingme i dont know bout that. I think he ruined it with JP but no one else.

Add in Post, Waters and Santos and if coached well, and allowed to develop, that’s a team that could do extremely well
Start Steph, Moses, JK, Draymond and TJD

1 - Steph | Podj | Melton
2 - Buddy | Moody (Melton / Podj) | Waters
3 - Wiggins | Kuminga | Payton (/Knox)
4 - Green | Kyle | Knox (/Payton)
5 - Looney | TJD | Post
(Santos, Spencer, Beekman, Rowe are emergency only. Spencer diplayed some high basketball IQ and energy)
Thanks for watching, Tom! Buddy's time is coming for sure. I did give him a few minutes here but he has more in the pipeline for sure!

Steph, Waters, Wiggins, Draymond, TJD

We were very solid last year, we could’ve won most of our games. The weakest link with Klay. The bay loves Klay but if you were really watching gsw then you knew he was the problem. All we had to do this off season was find a solid replacement for him, and we found multiple. Dray needs to chill out Wiggins needs to show up and our younger guys need to continue to develop. We’ll be good if we can do that
Hopefully stouts and stackhouse can help out too. Kerrs a solid coach but his rotations have been trash the past couple of years
Moody please be a beast lion shark 🦈
Quinten Post? what about him?
- SC
- Wiggins (2022 Wiggs = must start, 2023 Wiggs = 2nd team)
- JK
- DG
- Moody
- BP
- TJD
- BH
- SlowMo
- GP II
- Melton
(Solid 11 man rotation)
--------
- Looney (reserve & certain matchups)
- 2 more reserves to round out 14 (possibly LW & Post)
Obviously SC & DG get their usual mins, and Wiggs & JK get high mins if playing at a high level. After these 4 I think BP & Moody should likely have the highest mins (assuming they’re playing at a high level). Then the other 5 in the 11 man rotation fill in when & where needed.
Can imagine so many different combos with these 11 & I don’t think any starters matter except for SC & DG.
I'd LOVE for Steph to get more titles.

@@SwishCulture Im saying he’s already made the leap as shown in his percentages but you can’t expect consistency from a player getting roped around.
I dont understand why it's not Steph, Buddy Hield, Wiggins/Kuminga, Dray, TJD
Hield didn't look like he could handle the ball. He seems better fit to be a bench piece that they sub in in small spurts to throw the opponent's defense off and space the floor. Using him as a disruptor would probably be the best upside and prevent the opponents from scheming against him to force turnovers.
Such a remarkable preseason opener for the Dubs ♥️ new faces and old faces proving themselves as the Dark Horse this season 😇💪
We'll miss Klay. Hopeful for his success, but Dubs lets get it
Podz and Kuminga play ass yesterday, i know it's a pre season game and I hope they bounce back and play great onwards because if not JK will not getting that bag and Podz will be hounded by the fans.
Podz was terrible, but he was also terrible in summer league last year and played well once he got going. JK was trying to change his role a bit. He wasn't selfishly attacking the basket and was showing that he can control the pace of the game and look out for his teammates. He definitely didn't have a great game however.
FAX WARRIORS GM REALLY DID LET THE JAZZ OFFER GO WIHOUT HESITATION WE COULDVE HAD LAURI JUST BY GIVING PODZ AND FIRST ROUNDER.
If we play Mo 2, we've got too much SG
Melton, Hield, Podz and Mo
They added new slinger by the name of Waters! He really spalsh it out last game!
Given the moves in the off season (or lack in some cases)
Guards: Steph starting, plenty of minutes for Pods, Hield and Melton
Forwards: Wiggins, Kuminga and Anderson
Draimond Green split as a false Center and then as a Forward when Wiggins or Kuminga are not in the court
TJD, Looney and Post as Centers whenever the spot is available (in that order most likely, so TJD basically)
Scrap minutes for the rest unless they pull of some incredible performances in the off chances they'll likely get
Barring injuries or disaster, anything else would raise questions on the management (why not trade or why bring in people you are not going to play?)
That or somehow play with several very different rotations, consistently, which I don't think is Kerr's ideal plan
@lei7numenor GSW is a playmaking team. With only two playmakers. Curry and Green. Podz is close third.

2. dray shouldn't play the 5 and should play the 4 instead
3. I personally think that the 2 guard should change throughout the season depending on the team they are up against if they cant find the single best 2 guard on the team (this one is just a thought and probably wont happen)
I'm not very experienced when it comes to making theoretical lineups for teams, but this is just what I would keep in mind when thinking of the starting 5.

Well, you gotta pick one.
I think its better to start moody JK, green Trace alongside Curry. Let Wiggins work back to his old self from 2022. He doesn't deserve to hold that spot give a chance Moody and JK to grow and showcase their skills
Kerr sees Moody as a 3.
Well, the dubs don't have a choice at this point, so let's see what they can do with him the next couple of years.
As proven TJD can’t guard wide 7footers luckily they only have few in the league.
Dubs are stacked with talent this year
Let's see if he is able to use his chips the right way without keeping young players undeveloped by keeping them as a bench warmer

Nice layout
If Kuminga goes to the bench, He will be a poison for the team. He wants the max extension. Warrior’s best bet is to trade him for a capable big man
TJD is small, however he's fairly decent and should be a better rim protector this season. I'll reserve judgment on that till the season starts.
I have long wanted Moody to get more minutes and step his game up. I hope he does this season.
That would be welcome. I'm positive his game is stepped up. The more minutes would be icing on the cake.
Let’s Gooooo!!!! It’s been too 2 long painful seasons since our beloved Warriors won the title
That statement is more apparent with the Mavericks then any other team
They may be better but I'll reserve judgment until I see if Klay fits well on that team.
They're stacked and ready to compete for the play-in tournament and to waste what Curry has left!
🙃
Waters won't play in the season unless there is an injury. He's a 2 way player and there are too many guards ahead of him....but he should play some imo
Waters is a guaranteed contract. Current two-ways are Beekman, Spencer & Post
Wiggins playing at the 2 makes no sense
Why doesn't it make sense?
@@SwishCulture he sucks at three point shooting. He’s not a consistent shooter and and doesn’t shoot them in volume. So there’s zero spacing on the floor
Waters can shoot. He's NOT NBA ready..physically weak.. Gets pushed off his spot and he's a bad defender ...he's not gonna make it ...but he can get stronger
As much as Kerr is a great coach he seems to be on a mission to ruin Moody's career or get him traded. It's been so frustrating for a few seasons now
I can't say I disagree. He's been very successful with all the Warriors' picks so far
I prefer Pods. Just a much better decision maker out of all of them.
If the Warriors aren't going to play Moody then they should trade him. He's too good to rot on our bench. He has a promising nba career ahead of him and he gets better every year.
Warriors need to make some decisions in their guard heavy squad.
I agree, but I'd be livid to watch him go off playing elsewhere. I'm already dealing with that concerning another player but such is sports.
If Waters continues to shoot like that, he needs to start. 71% from 3 is not a second unit stat.
Its 1 game nobody can keep that pace but get what u mean.
Lmao boy be quietyo casual ahh😂😂
@@whitelinefeverpod Yeah definitely not 70%, that’s impossible, but if he averages 40-50% that’s more than enough to start.
@@901gaminganime5 I’m speaking 70% from this game idiot. No one shoots 70% for their career. Casual.
🤣 its a preason game, yall are DELUSIONAL. Dude will be playing in the Gleague majority of the season. Yall going to be complaining come December
If kerr didn't play tatum good luck moses moody haha!!! Unless he cusses kerr out like kunminga hell be hidden on the bench unfortunately.
If Kerr is so bad why did they win the gold and why did he insert Waters at the right time?
With the depth that the Warriors have, they cam actually have various first 5s.
Kerr might pull a fast one and slip Podz back in the lineup. Your SL looks good! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Crazy moody got the less mins in the game to I really pray curry and draymond call Kerr out this year and don’t make it have to be jk or moody
I would love to see Kavon starting again. Keep Dray at the 4.
He'll have to earn it. 2nd year Trayce will be better than rookie Trayce but Loon looks ready.
If Kuminga wants to havr any value he needs to drive fast to the hoop and slam it the way last year
I want steph, dray, 2022 wiggs, Buddy and Quinton or Anderson to start. Overly large teams like the lakers match up i'd swap buddy with Kevon.
The battle for the two-guard spot is heating up, but should the Warriors prioritize defense with Melton or go all-in on Moody’s improved offense? What would you choose?
the guy with more upside.
this plan is work if we can Get stretch 5 and i got the name and its not expensive "Kelly Ollynk" just give GP2 and Looney + 2 SRP that will be enough
Starter : Steph Melton JK Draymond Kelly ( Defensive and stretch the floor open up for JK and Steph with kelly )
Bench : Bpodz Buddy Wiggins Slowmo TJD ( Offensive controlled by Slowmo and Bpodz with good size defender )
3rd Lineup / BackUo : Spencer Waters Moody Gui Post
This Lineup will balance defensive in the starting 5 Offensive come from the bench and many other body in the backups
Nice job on the lineups!
@@devanopakpahan914 Gsw has missed the playoffs 3 out of 5 years. Why? They have no bangers except Green. And he's getting old.
@@Nosugarcoatingme
2 SRP is not a high price i think
2020 - Steph Klay Hut
2021 - Steph doesnt got anyhelp
2022 - Champhioship
2023 - 6 seat bounce in second round
2024 - All team is a mess Draymond suspention 27 games and still win 46 games if draymond was there at least 10 game that we can win it at least 56 win team
Kerr should give Kuminga ang Moody more playing time.
Truth!
Once JK figures out to hit a 3 I’m sure he’ll get more time at the 3
Warriors finally have a true Kiowa Warrior
Yup!!
stacked? they'd be lucky if they can the play in 😂😂
Who's finishing ahead of them?
@@SwishCultureare you on crack? Lol what do you think the warriors gonna do this year? Not a damn thing
The fact we have a legit issue of who to start, not because we're bad but because everyone is good enough to start. Let me tell, ring 5 is loading!!!!
