Watch late night bus journey from Bangalore to Ooty by KSRTC Airavat. This was the 10:32 pm bus from Shanthinagar bus stand to Ooty. It will reach Ooty by 5 am. Only KSRTC (Karnataka & Kerala buses have entry through Bandipur forest) All other vehicles have no entry and will have to wait till 6 am.

Allowing 4 vehicles to pass doesn't make any sense. All vehicle should not be allowed.let the animals live in peace atleast at night

They are not allowing night journey in fact there is even case in supreme court by Kerala govt forcing Karnataka to allow it....But Karnataka has not budged or will budge....This is evening journey....All gates will be closed by 6pm and those last vehicles pass by 6pm will take around 1 hrs to come out of forest this is that timings....
Let only 2 wheelers be allowed so that animals can live in peace.

Night journey looks scary but it's serene and quite drive away from the noisy city life must be soothing shd thank the people who have toiled to pave the way through this jungle and transport people who actually do the tireless driving through out the night.

The government should stop plying vehicles on this route. An alternative route is available. If they have any concern for the wild animals, stop this traffic immediately.
@ananth only two busses from each state karnataka and kerla use this route in the middle of the night. They also act as vigilance officers on this route. This route is closed from 9pm to 6am for all other vehicles.

Good one buddy ... Passed through this section a couple of times in broad daylight and return was during evening. We used our private vehicles ... Once in 2005, last one in 2012 ...Another time we went till Coonoor and then Wellington and Aruvankadu from Coimbatore, Mettupalayam side by road in 2018

Loved how the driver respected the speed limit and was cautious while on road. anyways I am writing this comment not only to compliment the driving skills but also to tell.." i spotted some spooky things" in the first 12 mins of the video not visible to common eyes, but you should definitely submit this footage to some expert ghost spotters they will tell you the exact places and events. look around the times when the wind shield was getting frosted... one can argue it was just winter fog but it's not..

First there should not be a public road built on such a eco sensitive place,
next no vehicles should be allowed at night even they are govt. Vehicles except whose offices are inside the forest area....

All people be careful in the places like Bandipur,Mudumalai,Gudalur, Masinagudi! A tiger is roaming there and it killed 4 people's and ate 30 Cattles still it has been escaping and not shooted or prisoned! So be careful travellers in that route! Thank you

Ther is no stop or slow down, making horn of vehicles at this road as there will be animals beside roads. Just last week we had been to Ooty on this road during day and we saw many animals deer elephant peacock monkey.
How come they allow Airavat at night?

When We gone at midnight ksrtc was not allowed,bus took from perinthalmanna at midnight ,we reached there at 2 0 clock,we were kept waiting till 6 o clock.

It's a separate bus stand from where u get buses to TN. Buses from shanti nagar will mostly come to Mysore satellite bus stand

That insensitive drive didn't slowdown at any speed breaker, just because its a state transport bus, like other vehicles they too should not be allowed to enter at night or evening...

Because of the irresponsible drivers,and rash driving which resulted in accidents where many wild animals were killed, hence under the direction of The Honourable Supreme court of India, Travel through these roads during night is banned.

@@vinayakwaglekar8541 since only government vehicles are allowed and time in and time out is noted any incident is very easy to pinpoint and action can be taken on drivers involved.
