UPDATE 10/24 - After testing a couple nights with this model, I am having issues! It appears the unit is not woking in cloudy weather, and only works with a battery pack hooked up to it. It seems the internal battery wont take a change although was charged overnight before installing. I would not recommend this product! Had mine since early Feb. Has been working fine until the past few days, today is May 21. Seems the solar panel/battery isn't holding a charge. The door itself is still working fine.
So, to set the starting time, there isn't a programmable screen, you have to physically be there to punch in the time. Does that mean that if you want it to open at, say, 1 in the morning, you have to stay up that late in the night to set it for the first time?
Greg, I’m sorry. I thought this comment was for my video on the omelet opener, this one, I am not sure. I was never able to get it to work properly and returned it.
Do you know how to program it to open at specific times?
Pullit shut also makes a great opener.. mine is 8 years old.

Hi Greg, there is. I forgot to show the time programming. You can program the open and close time. Very simple.

Notice where the cord plugs into door. It is in the way and chickens tend to peck it and unplug it. Dumb design.
