Very helpful! Is there a way to put a border around the group block?

    nice overview of the group-block!
what's the best way to setup a post-format that you intend to use over and over again? a template for a custom-post format? would the group block be used?

Build your group of blocks, then select the group and right-click. Choose "Add to reusable blocks" and you'll be able to re-use that configuration on future posts. This is post format independent.

For some reason I am not seeing the select parent group button shown in this video at 3:00 (ruclips.net/video/x073GEB_ONo/видео.html)
Could it be that the theme I am using is not optimized for Gutenberg? The group block parent button is missing in Total and Customizr themes, even though most blocks work. While the theme MH Purity Lite displays like your video. Is there a plugin that needs to be added to the former see group blocks properly?

I tried to reproduce your problem and couldn't. The group selector works with both Total and Customizr. Make sure you're using the latest WordPress. Also, do you have the Gutenberg plugin active? This video covers the version that's distributed with WordPress 5.5.
