@Top Hat Gaming Man, I am not sure if you covered this little series of coincidences and parallels in your video, but I am more than convinced that there are a lot of parallels between Mike Haggar and real life former Marine turned professional wrestler turned government official Buford Pusser. Here are their comparisons. Mike Haggar - former professional wrestler for the CWA, or Capcom Wrestling Association. Buford Pusser - -former professional wrestler that wrestled around the Chicago area, possibly for the the NWA, or National Wrestling Alliance, and its Chicago branch that it had at the time, (which later became the IWA, or International Wrestling Association), among other smaller organizations that have not been named that have since possibly been lost to the sands of time. (NWA-Chicago, which eventually became the IWA, also later became arguably one of the biggest, as well as most influential, professional wrestling organizations in the 1970s and 1980s, namely, the AWA, or the American Wrestling Association.) Mike Haggar - 6' 8', 297 lbs. Buford Pusser - 6' 6", 250 lbs. Mike Haggar - usually has a close cropped haircut, save for his appearance in Final Fight 3/Tough. Buford Pusser - yes, he also has a close cropped haircut. Mike Haggar - is a widower. Buford Pusser - also later became a widower. Mike Haggar - has a daughter. Buford Pusser- had a daughter and two sons, of which one of the sons was coincidentally named Mike. Mike Haggar - fought government corruption in a big city. Buford Pusser - fought government corruption in a small rural county. Mike Haggar - fought the corrupt cops in his local police department, as well as the Mad Gear, Skull Cross, Thugs, Jersey Thugs, Punx, Glowheads, and numerous other gangs, as well as people, in wrestling rings, bar fights, and underground fight clubs, both before and after his professional wrestling career. Buford Pusser - fought many professional wrestlers, may have also dabbled in occasional bar fights, as well as underground fight clubs, and fought the corrupt local police department, sheriff's department, Dixie Mafia and State Line Mafia. Mike Haggar - fought corrupt cops in the police department where he lived (Edi E and Dave, among potentially others). Buford Pusser - fought corrupt cops in both a local police department and a sheriff's department (James Dickey and several other corrupt cops and sheriff's deputies). Mike Haggar - recruited people, both within his local government, as well as citizens, to help him fight the police corruption and gangs that plagued where he lived. Buford Pusser - also recruited people, both within his sheriff's department, as well as civilians, to help him fight the police corruption and gangs that plagued where he lived. Mike Haggar - has a penchant for using weapons in fights. Buford Pusser - also had a penchant for using weapons in fights. Mike Haggar - became a mayor. Buford Pusser - became a constable, a police officer, and a sheriff, then tried to run for a town mayor, and, presumably later, a county mayor, but was possibly assassinated before he could run for the town mayor position. Mike Haggar - lost a re-election bid (to become a mayor in his case). Buford Pusser - lost a re-election bid (to become a sheriff in his case). Yeah, there are a scary amount of parallels between both people. Also, yeah, Mike Haggar is a Yankee version of Buford Pusser.

Yeah
HEY CAPCOM WHERE IS MY BEATEM UP
Imo Final Fight 3 is the best out of the trilogy but not hard to do
Abigail and Lucia are now Street Fighter Characters…
I bet Billy and CID will be SF characters before Haggar!!!
Pocketo Fightaaa!
ARRRRagh!
never heard SNES pronounced as such. only heard it letter by letter. must be a brit thing.
final fight is good but streets of rage remake and the capcom beatem ups Alien vs predator and crap cant think of the title the one with the ostrach girl the plant alien and mr fantastic are so far above it. they finally evolved into really good beat em ups. I honestly think growing up with them I can appreciate what they put in. the ff sequels yah agreed forgettable
Nah, Final Fight was the original and best. Nothing compares to its action and its innovation. Everything which came after it was just a copy.
I'm in
The first OpenBOR game lol
I challenge you, THGM, to say the words “world” and “weld” back to back and hear a difference.
It will sound the same since it's a homonym with my accent.

@@TopHatGamingManChannel , did you see my post to you? I think that it is relevant to the video and it is also an interesting read. Granted, it is possibly not canon, but it IS worth considering as a potential part of the history of the franchise.
You really want a main white character huh? Your video on Guile gave it away. I'll send a letter to my high ups and see what they can do. I'm pretty sure you have Terry Bogard at least. For a bit anyways.
You're way too harsh on FF3. It's a big improvement over FF2, and it is easily one of the best beat em ups on the SNES console.
Game logic, eh?
Sound recorded in a Final Fight trash can.
So Poison was supposed to be female... interesting
This is wak
Lucia looks like she could be Roy's (Rival Schools) older sister.
Final fight is superior to street fighter any day plain and simple including some hacked versions
