Tremolos best evoke the feelings of a tempest. Beethoven is epic.

Thanks a lot for uploading the Tempest sonata. I really like it. I am just attempting the beginning part of the 3rd movement, and feels like it's achievable for me. However, it's rated level 8 piece. I am curious that is there any crazy difficult part afterwards in this movement?

Hi Michael! It is achieveable because you enjoy the piece> There is no crazy part in it, but it is still an advanced piece. Our mind is capable of amazing things; it all depends on your perspective. If you really like a piece, even if it is difficult, you can still learn it easier than a beginner piece that you don't like.

What level would you place the first movement at?

It is a thundering advanced piece. I would give it 8 out of 10 in terms of difficulty. The tremolo part is particularly difficult. At 2:31 for example, very challenging to make the melody sound clearly over the middle part tremolo

Easier than it sounds and looks. The third movement is obviously the hardest. I’d say this is a logical step up from Pathetique
If you can play moonlight, you can play Pathetique, if you can play Pathetique, you can play this, if you can play this then you can play appassionata.

Forget about ranking dude. Forget about how difficult it is. If you like it, then jump in. I self taught myself using sound, synthesia, and virtuosos and now I play appassionata within 4-5 years of getting serious. I just finished Pathetique today, and it took me less than a week. Things will be too hard at first, but jump the fuck in, difficulty levels are BS, just try to learn it.

Man this does not seems so hard. I really think difficulty of this piece WAAAY overrated. I think hardest mov is the 1st one. But from the recording i listen i just cant find anyone who plays those tremolos perfeclty so its not a big deal. This sonata is easier than most of Mozart's
