Trying to do something similar. Only I bought a kit to go through the tail light. I have the tank in but it has a vertical Phil the ones that go through the bed. Still scratching my butt as to how I'm going to get a hose over to that fill. Not sure if there's going to be enough room between the bed and the frame rail to get a hose over to the vertical Phil. I know I'm going to need an elbow on that Phil. But wondering about the space between the bed and the frame rail in that corner area of the bed. I have the bed but I'm only one guy so it's difficult to put on and off with a cherry picker but I guess that's what I'm going to need to do. Or look at a complete truck.
Did you get a new tank or using one from a Blazer? I got a new one and it is a side mount fill inlet. It was really tuff to get in. The truck required some cuts and welding to get it into place.
@@thackerbrossandbox1031 put a new tank in it wasn't a brand name that I know of it came with a fitech fuel injection. Didn't like the frame Mount pump filter was going to be noisy and read a lot about it actually being noisy so I put a pump in the tank. All-in mounted and fuel lines ran filtered Etc. But then I saw the tail light fill and like everything else I bought it and we'll figure out how it works when I get there. I'm envisioning that it's probably going to be a slow fill up.
@@thackerbrossandbox1031 LMC SELLs A 21 gallon side Mount Gas Tank . I Believe that’s the one needed for the SideMarker Right ! I just don’t know How to Set it up ???🤔
@@jimmysapien9961 that's the one we used. It is a tight fit between the bed and the frame. We did cut one of the frame rails and welded it back up to give it some strength back. We had a harder time with the vent. You really need to make sure it get higher than the fill hose.
I'm doing the same thing to my 72 c10 put the filler behind the side marker. Do you have anymore videos of installing the tank and filler neck. ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
I will need to look at what I cut out of the video. I didn't really have in mind to make it a how to video. I may be able to answer some of your questions.
