Brandy, you have over 130 Band-Maid songs to choose from. Not one of them is bad, most of them are excellent. Keep it up, you'll love every step in this journey. Next thing you'll have to do is attend one of their concerts when they come back to the U.S. If the any venues are not in your town, you need to purchase to the concert and then an airplane ticket or drive to the city. It will be well worth your while. Their live concerts are even better than their videos. I have been to two this past year. I'm 75 year old and had not seen a live concert in many decades. I had to attend their show when they came to my hometown of Atlanta, and then realized I needed to see them again. So I flew all the way to Minneapolis to see them again. I'm contemplating flying to Japan to see them again. That's what Band-Maid fandom will do to you.
The Maids were featured in the movie 'Kate' playing this song live in a scene! Their song 'Blooming' is also in a car chase scene. Check it out, it's a pretty good movie! 😎🤘
Thanks for "choosing" Band-maid, Brandy! There are a few songs from their recent concert at Yokohama that are pretty amazing, and they just released Protect You. But really cannot go wrong with anything in their discography!
The LIVE version is even better! But with BAND-MAID that usually the case with very few exceptions. And most people's favorite BAND-MAID song is the last one they've heard.
"Choose Me" -- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" and the HBO Max series Peacemaker as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic. Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are, along with The Warning band, almost single-handedly bringing back the joy of rock. Here's a great live MV of "Choose Me" that's not quite as punchy do to the mix, but still good: ruclips.net/video/HcqitbXgigU/видео.html Thx, Brandy!
I grew up as a punk/metal kid. More of an emphasis on pop punk. After that style of music fell off I stopped listening to a lot of that genre. Japanese rock/metal/punk/whatever, has really brought me back.... And Band-Maid, my fav band, just rocks! Thanks for the reaction!
Welcome back Princess Brandy 🎉 to the impossibly hard rocking Maids! They do bring the nostalgia with the little things they do with their songs. Slightly familiar yet completely new and surprising. The “2000’s Vibe” I notice also in a few of their songs, especially from the early years (affectionately called the “Tiny Hat Era”) For another one straight from the Hoobastank DNA: “the non-fiction days,” official music video. Absolutely killer song and one they used to close shows with. The other is an uptempo ballad, “Daydreaming.” Santana, Matchbox Twenty, all wrapped up in a 🎀 If you’re a fan of music in general? The ladies have saved Rock for this old hippie in the 21st century and this is another fine example of women rockers with a catchy tune and killer guitar that populate some of my set lists now a days. My favorite is the Goddess of Rock, Lzzy Hale, who with her great band Halestorm, ushered in an era of female led, modern hard rock bands with old school musicianship but with modern sensibilities for listeners in this century. She is my favorite rock performer since Eddie Vedder was in his prime with Pearl Jam in the 90s. If you have not seen it, do the lyric video for Rock Show and have your rock n roll soul nourished. If you ever get a chance to see them live, go for it, 3 times for me, they are a band that would have been huge back in the 70s or 80s. They have killer live sets on You Tube. These also deserve reactions when you can: The Warning, Plush, Dorothy, Liliac, Samantha Fish, the list grows and Rock lives in 2024, enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
During a covid lock down here in Oz, i was bored, put a movie (Kate) on and was sorta watching it and then my mind went WTF, it was the nightclub scene with B-M playing, I stopped the movie and began googling up all things BAND-MAID, this band has reignited my love of rock and I am happily so far down the pigeon hole I'll never get out (or want to). Oh I never got to watch the end of the movie 😁 What a fcken band Po, cheers 👍🍻

For me, Choose Me is a Pop Song. Just FASTER and HARDER. It's got that Pop-Punk beat but again, just so fast and hard. Perfect blend. Perfect Band-Maid.
So it looks like you haven't listened to daydreaming so if you do please do the MV then on to live and remember absolutely not talking while kanami is speaking it's not just a rule it's the way of the madiacs
That's BAND-MAID! Always leaving you wanting more!
