The herb on top of Dakos salad is called rock samphire or sea fennel in English. Its scientific name is crithmum maritimum while in Greek is called kritamos. People collect it from coastal areas and pickle it.
The greens on dakos are called" Kritama".They grow by the sea almost without water.We eat them pickled.I am greek by the way.It is fun to see you guys get excited on common greek food !
On the "Dakos" it's capers. In Greece we use the leaves, the stem with the blossom ( what you have on your dish) and the caper fruit. The last one is the most common form of caper. Just watched the rest of the video and it's caper leaves.
Pro tip: just order a salad and feta separately. The "Greek salad" option is made for tourists. When you order them separately, it's the same thing but a bit cheaper.

Asia Minor (entire Turkey) was always Greek and only recently completely conquered by Turks, which are not even fully Turkish. What you have in Turkey today is Greek/Turk admixtures. Same thing goes for rest of Middle East, WE influence them not the other way around. All the food names are Greek, theres nothing "turkish" anymore because whatever Central Asian got mixed with the overwhelming Greek population is gone now. Do you see Asian features when you look at Turks? Nope. Hybridization destroys uniqueness and cultures.

Break the cheese and mix all the salad in the dish and squeeze tomatoes with your fork so all tomato liquids and juice take out and mix with othe vegetables and feta..Give to that fusion 10 minutes for everything to mix up ..Enjoy slowly a glass of white wine have little chat with your company and after 10 minutes start to enjoy your salad !!!! :)
This herb at the top of Dakos called Kritamos it's very healthy and you can find it only at the seaside. We use it at the top of salads mostly . You should came to Crete one day!

I have been loving your Athens trip! I can almost taste the food I miss Greece so much! You’ve captured it so perfectly :) I had that yogurt with carrot in Naxos for the first time so simple but really yummy! Any idea what it’s called in Greek?
This kind of sweet on top of yogurt is called glyko tou koutaliou which literally translates as "spoon sweet". There are all kinds of spoon sweets in Greece, from fruit to even vegetables like small tomatoes, small eggplants and carrot. It is called spoon sweet because traditionally the served portion is a spoon of sweet on a very small plate, which accompanies Greek coffee along with a glass of water. We use to serve it on yogurt as a desert and it is always a wining combination! So there is no name for that, it is yogurt with carrot spoon sweet or in Greek, giaourti me glyko tou koutaliou karoto. I'm sure that there are some brands available in Amazon if you'd like to order from outside of Greece.
There's no specific name: you order it as 'yogurt with candied carrot on top'. In Greece, there is an entire category of sweets called 'teaspoon sweets' (γλυκά του κουταλιού) because they are sort of... scooped out of a glass jar with a teaspoon and placed in a small plate. Essentially, they are candied fruit or nuts or even vegetables. They are actually very healthy; you simply boil them in a syrup made of water and sugar or honey, with some lemon juice or cinnamon or other spices for the aroma. So, you have candied figs, candied baby eggplants, candied grapes, candied sour cherries, candied chestnuts etc. These sweets are perfect as yogurt or even ice-cream topping.

In Greece they sell that dried bread in cubes in plastic bags in the supermarkets. It's seasoned with herbs and the reason it's dried is to soak up all the goodies you blend the cubes with (mostly salads). I brought home two bags from the trip and they were gone in no time...

This herb at the top of Dakos called Kritamos it's very healthy and you can find it only at the seaside. We use it at the top of salads mostly . You should came to Crete one day!

This kind of sweet on top of yogurt is called glyko tou koutaliou which literally translates as "spoon sweet". There are all kinds of spoon sweets in Greece, from fruit to even vegetables like small tomatoes, small eggplants and carrot. It is called spoon sweet because traditionally the served portion is a spoon of sweet on a very small plate, which accompanies Greek coffee along with a glass of water. We use to serve it on yogurt as a desert and it is always a wining combination! So there is no name for that, it is yogurt with carrot spoon sweet or in Greek, giaourti me glyko tou koutaliou karoto. I'm sure that there are some brands available in Amazon if you'd like to order from outside of Greece.
There's no specific name: you order it as 'yogurt with candied carrot on top'. In Greece, there is an entire category of sweets called 'teaspoon sweets' (γλυκά του κουταλιού) because they are sort of... scooped out of a glass jar with a teaspoon and placed in a small plate. Essentially, they are candied fruit or nuts or even vegetables. They are actually very healthy; you simply boil them in a syrup made of water and sugar or honey, with some lemon juice or cinnamon or other spices for the aroma. So, you have candied figs, candied baby eggplants, candied grapes, candied sour cherries, candied chestnuts etc. These sweets are perfect as yogurt or even ice-cream topping.

I got a great idea for your logo. Since it's chopstick travel you can make chopsticks as a protractor on a map or a globe.
In Greece they sell that dried bread in cubes in plastic bags in the supermarkets. It's seasoned with herbs and the reason it's dried is to soak up all the goodies you blend the cubes with (mostly salads).
I brought home two bags from the trip and they were gone in no time...
