Superb! Multumesc, Felix! Am cumparat un Zero de curand si cred ca pot sa ma inspir din ala expus acolo. 👍

Looks like a great kit looking forward to the finished model! I love the Mig 15 and it's counterpart the Sabre. I find cold war aircraft really cool. It's nice they give you all the other makings in these kits so you have extra if you have another kit with subpar decals. Colour etch is great but I don't care for the pre-painted seat harnesses as they're hard to make look natural and have a tendency to flake off when bent. Great review sir.

Small Soldier Thank you very much, sir! It is undoubtedly the best MiG-15 kit in 72nd scale. I concur to your opinion regarding the seatbelts -perhaps that's why Eduard launched the fabric seatbelts. And, to be honest, I am discovering the Cold War aircraft just now; before I was like most of the beginners attracted by that glamorous Bf-109 or by that sinister Stuka. Lately I started slipping towards the jet early planes: I bought recently a MiG-21 and a Yak Flora and I cannot find a MiG-17 to please me! And - you're right again - the Sabre is a beautiful bird in its own right!
      Cheers! Gabriel.

Yes it is! I've seen it again and again on blogs and YT videos: if the modeler pays good attention to the build it's always going to be a superb replica. Thanks for stopping by! Gabriel

PROPHET DESIGNER haha! Nup. MiG-urile românești n-au fost angajate în nici un conflict. Din contră, erau păstrate în condiție de muzeu și au zburat până în anii '90!

Some MIG-15 where second hand. After a while the paint started to peel off from the cockpit, revealing "chinese" letters. But I can infirm the bullet holes, if they had any the russians replaced those the parts.

Ovidiu Huma Thank you, Ovidiu! I am aware that the first series of aircraft delivered by USSR were refurbished Vietnam veterans. But the aircraft here, 767, is a Czech manufactured aircraft. Besides, the original pictures (as seen at the beginning of the video) were taken in mid-late 70s. The Russian produced aircraft have been phased out by the Romanian Air Force in early '60s, precisely because of their worn out unreliable engines. So no confusion or assumption is possible here. It is very good though you have raised the question - thanks! Cheers! Gabriel

Indeed the 767 was a Cehoslovakian S-102. I think you were trying to say that they were Korean veterans (June 1950 - July 1953). 767 enterd service between 1952 and 1954. Vietnam War began later in1955. Vietnam used a few MIG-15 for training purposes only, in combat they used MIG-17,19 and 21. No MIG-15 were reported to be shotdown or encouterd by USAF, USN etc.

"entirely aluminium painted aircraft"? That sounds fishy.
    Spor in continuare.

Thanks for the head-up :) They were aluminum dope painted aircraft but that's not the case here:))
      Cheers!
