Very relieved to find this video. Thought the front glass on my 89 1 ton had to come out. I’ve got the same drivers side leak. I’ll be repeating your steps precisely. Thank you.
Best of luck!
My 1996 F-150 had exactly the same problem, and this is EXACTLY what I needed to see. Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Exactly what I needed to see, you covered everything I needed to know. Thank you so much for sharing. My 95 just started leaking on the passenger side (at least that is were the water is coming in) and now I know what I need and the method to which to fix it.
We are glad this helped! Best of luck.
Thank you , as I needed help , as you really went through each step so well
Thanks!
WOW!! What a fantastic tutorial. I have the 1993. No leak, just getting ready to give it fresh paint.
Right on!
When I first looked at the run time, I thought "Wow, all this time (22 min) for a trim removal?". But I watched your presentation and it is super! Nice camera work and well explained. Now, off to fix the leaking windshield on my 94. Thanks !!
Best of luck with the repair, I hope the video helps.
I didn't want to use silicone, so I got black 3M urethane seam sealer. I cleaned it up first by scraping a lot of messy windshield seal that had oozed out from the previous windshield install. I cleaned it out with bushes and acetone, then brushed in Ford color white paint (I have a white 1995 F150). Then I troweled in the urethane as best I could so it went from the exterior paint up to the windshield edge. I put blue tape all around so I didn't get any on the paint. When that dries I'll test it out with water before I put the trim back on.
I’m sure that will work too. Best of luck.
What a nice job of showing process and operations. My gratitude sir.
You are very welcome! :)
He did do just that. Didn't rush thru the video pretty good.
Thanks for the guide! Just what I needed.
Glad it helped!
Great narration with simple steps to fix an apparent Ford issue. I have the same color F150, but looks like you have the XLT version. Mine isn't as fancy as yours, I'd love to have the XLT. I shall follow your directions to stop future water puddles on the floorboard. Keep on truckin'!!
Thank you!
Hola muchas muchas gracias por tu video tan didatico y claro !! busque mucho hasta que encontre el de Ud
Muchas gracias desde Argentina soy Ivo lolli !! graciassssss
You’re welcome!
Thanks for the detailed explanation on getting the clips off. I also had to take the bottom piece off and it had the double clip but still came off no problem with the same tool. Bottom trim has plastic clips installed that fit into the double clip.
We are glad it was useful for you!
Big Thanks for this vid...Seems I have a leak in the same area....Thought it was the Driver's side door rubber seal molding.....👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😊😊😊😊

Awesome vid!.👍🏼✌🏻
Thank you!
I'm planning to do this on my 93 f150, thanks for the detailed DIY. How is your repair holding up?
So far no issues. The repair has held up well. The truck spends its life outside...
Nice job 👍🏼
Thank you!
Did you post what the part numbers were for the clips and tool? I may have missed them in the comments here but I think you said you’d do that.

Very n ice thank u interesting how my 97 f-250 leaking exact same place
The old 7.3 I had did the exact same thing
Was one package of the sealant enough to do the full length of the obs windshield?
Yes. One worked for ours.
@@LowTechGarage thanks!
The bottom piece is the hardest, did your remove that also?
Our leak was coming in from the top so we did not have to remove this piece of trim.
Kinda like pulling a tooth? How many of those have you done?
This was the first time.
A grinder and some stainless steel and you can make that tool or aluminum anything thin
you are not wrong!
What r u talking about, rainy season? It rains in Florida almost every day.
You must be in Miami :)
Why did you not turn your phone sideways? It is literally impossible to go true full screen with this video.
It was my early RUclips days. Editing has improved significantly over the years. Thanks for your patience it’s part of the journey as grease monkey turned content creator 🙂
This was a good video, will start tomorrow removing the trims but Where can I find replacement clips?
Double check but I think this is what you need.
