Ive been doing front tapes on myself for years, they’re amazing. You just need isopropyl alcohol to dissolve the tape. I use a cheap salon foot sanitizer spray that’s basically isopropyl and water. Don’t waste your money on the actual removers! Also, I recommend the rolls of tape, the tape tabs are a rip off 👌🏻 x
Edit: to commenters: don’t use oils or coconut oil, not very effective, messy and hard to remove! Isopropyl Alcohol is all you need :)
We use isopropyl alcohol to remove adhesive at work on the label printers etc.

I lost a lot of my hair because of my medication and I was devastated. I’ve always had loads of hair but this was falling out in handfuls. I might try this when I can afford it. 👽🖤

Omg you're amazing not only to do tape ins for the first time without a in person course, but to do them on yourself you badass!! Also you wanna have them removed and repositioned ever 4 to 6 weeks just like when you wanna get your roots done!!! So fun 💜🥰
I did tape ins for my friend and I used coconut oil and cheap conditioner to remove the tapes, I just soaked each one and peeled up the corners so it could get in there and they came off pretty easy
I had to remove my own tape ins and the coconut oil really helps!
Thanks for this tip! I usually use an oil based remover, but think coconut would be easier

When I was taught in school you’re supposed to take your straightener smoosh them together so it sticks better
i was going to comment the same thing. doesnt it also fuse the tape? ive had every type of extension and tape ins 20 times and they always use a hair straightener for each sandwich.
I did that too when I had tape ins I’m a stylist and would do them myself

Your halo method of applying tape-in hair extensions is fool-proof; thank you so much; had sew-ins several years ago and never again as they are very expensive to install and maintain for a mediocre super heavy awkward look.
You did awesome for your first time. Ive been putting mine in for yrs for thickness and have found I take a thin section, place the bottom one, then the top. It gets easier and I now do by feel.
The taking out for me is the hard part.

Yeassssssss Queen you can't even tell you have extensions in. A couple I watch Charles and Alyssa, Alyssa been getting extensions sew in the past 3 years and their video from lastnight showed her getting them installed. It’s a lot easier to install the piece on the bottom first so you don’t have to flip up the first piece and everything stays smooth and even and flush to your scalp. Looks amazing as always of course 💖
I got the sew in extensions. It is a lot of money😳 but they are so worth it . I’m only going to wear them a year , enough time for my hair to grow back out without me touching it, bleaching it, cutting it. Lol so yah I love them 😍

I've been using tape-ins for years.
When I grew out my pixie cut, I put them in on the sides. When I bleached my hair all to hell in 2020, and my hair broke off up to my ears (on the sides only) I used hair extensions to bring the sides back down to match the back, and I had a super cute long bob.
Now my real hair is grown out enough and I don't have to wear the extensions anymore.

I've thought about buying extensions before because I have super fine and thin hair, but I am also a mom and just end up throwing it into a ponytail anyway so I don't see the point. I also have some color variation from old dyeing so I don't think I could find a color that would look normal haha

My hair is pretty thin. When I put extensions in, I use single sided tape. This makes it more natural by putting in only one weft at a time instead of two.
What do you mean by single sided tape? Sticky part is only on one side??

I leaned over a heater and burned a bunch off, these are gon a save me from cutting my hair off!
I have had tape in and learned about them in school, use a straightener to clamp them together helps them stay better
Quick tip! You can use hand sanitizer to take off the glue of tape ins!
