    I am trying to buy pressure washer for my one pool screen and wood fence, which pressure washer do you recommend. I don't want to get washer that is too strong for the screen and/or weak for wood fence and driveway.... appreciate your help to choose one

      I would say to focus more on the GPM (gallons/liters per minute) than the PSI. I would get as much gallons as you can get for your money. For these applications, if you were around 3 gallons per minute and 3000 psi you could do both of those pretty well. Be careful with which tip you use! Don’t go smaller than a 25 degree (green tip) on the screens.

    Hey starting doing some pressure washing on the side only have money for a small pump up sprayer at the moment what ratio do you use for your chemicals? When mixing with water

      Hey! Good question.
      The ratio depends on what you are washing and how dirty it is!
      Also consider the strength of what you’re mixing with water in the pump sprayer. If you’re using full strength chlorinated bleach (SH), it’s between 10-12% in the jug which is really strong. You want to dilute it down to 1-2% in most cases. You have to be careful if you go stronger than that. I’ve done 5% in some unusual cases… like with Screens with heavy lichen. (Overspray will kill things though). It was to loosen it up for washing. If it’s a jug of something like a mildew remover (which usually is a prediluted version of the SH concentrate), maybe you would be fine to go 50-50. Some of those even sell their projects in bottles with sprayers that hookup to a garden hose so you can skip the pump sprayer.
      Hope that helps! Don’t forget to empty and rinse your pump sprayer once you’re done.

    Do you then microfiber wipe dry rails ?

      It depends on the color and how dirty it is. I always have a pack of new microfiber cloths with me. Sometimes, it saves a TON of time to just “detail” with a clean cloth rather than rinse over and over again. Good question!

    Hey my good man I just subscribed to your channel you're awesome you're down to earth person I am alone in person to what is your percentage you use on your chloride mixed with water on houses and pool

    • @ThatMillennialDad
      @ThatMillennialDad  Год назад

      Much appreciated! Regarding percentages, by down-stream injecting the chemical (12.5% SH) with a surfactant, it dilutes down to about 1.5-2% by my estimate with my 4GPM unit. That’s actually on the stronger end so some house I intentionally dillute my chemical supply tank so that it’s more like 8% going into the line which gets me closer to 1%. Going “hotter” is almost too fast and a waste of chemicals… and more risk for killing landscaping

    And also have a Honda 4 gallon per minute cuz I usually do Holmes I don't do much commercial about how do I keep for my pump overheating that's what I would like to know cuz I'm mobile I don't have a tank like that

      Great question! The good news is you just need to keep water running through the pump. How? Spraying. Start the water and let it prime for a minute, then turn the washer on. I have a habit of starting to count in my head every time I’m washing and I’m not actively on the trigger. Don’t go more than 30 seconds. My pressure washer is currently also a “direct drive” 4GPM. That is by choice because of what I do. This rig shown for most of the examples is a larger rig I use when I subcontract (10GPM electric and 8GPM gas powered when needed) but that’s a bit much for screens.

    What chemical do you use

    • @ThatMillennialDad

      Hey! Be careful with chemicals due to plants and houses. That being said, I dilute sodium hypochlorite (SH, aka Pool Shock). That what help kills the growth and loosen the lichen. Hope that helps!
