Master Carlson Gracie is in the back, he was Vitor coach and manager at the time. Such a honorable man, instead of celebrate his pupil victory he was worried about Wanderley health, that is a true master of martial arts. All my respect to him and whole Gracie family.

Talk about styles making fights. As tough as Silva could be, his style was perfect for Vitor. Fans wanted to see a rematch, but I’m pretty sure the result would have been pretty much the same, it just would have probably lasted longer.

He was one opponent that Wand couldn't overwhelm with his blitzes, and his fighting style made him vulnerable to Vitor's boxing. Agree 100%. I'm a huge Wand fan but this is one matchup he'll lose every time.

    • @B-Rad_99

Yeah, the way Wand wades in and tries to take your head off played right into Vitor’s hands. Once he got a chance to start letting his fists go full speed it was over. Guys like Randy who can beat him up from the clinch and wrestle him to exhaustion or Liddell who can snipe him from the outside were the ways to beat him.

How much MMA has improved is crazy. Silva didn't line up his feet correctly at all. Didn't take the outside foot to slip straights. He literally stepped into range when Vitor was 100% ready lol

This would be the same outcome 100out if 100 times. Wanderlei throws hooks and thats it.

@@brianwilhelm3777how would he do that against vitor when he was knocked out in less than a minute? Also all wanderlie did in pride is have 5 good wins of his 25 pride wins re-join the ufc when he’s not that old after being 1-2 in ufc and get his ass beat again because he’s fighting only top competition not top competition mixed with Japanese cans

Same result. Styles make fights and Vitor is the one fight that Silva loses everytime. Can’t overwhelm and the way Silva throws wide looping hooks plays right into Vitors pinpoint boxing

The only good fighters he beat there was the Gracie killer, rampage 2x, Ricardo arona and Dan Henderson. Everyone else in his long win streak were straight cans.
