This video explains how to create a flashable zip from boot.img and system.img using Assayyed kitchen
The zip is to be flashed using a custom recovery (e.g TWRP, CWM & Philz) and not stock recovery

In this video tutorial, I'll be showing you how to create a flashable zip using Assayyed kitchen from boot.img

recovery mode. Its very important you know that you cannot flash this kind of zip from stock recovery okay?

so you need to have a custom recovery (e.g TWRP, Philz, CWM etc) installed before you can flash a zip like this.

Download Assayyed kitchen, check out website for the download link. You'll need the boot.img and system.img

pasted in the PLACE folder. Launch Assayyed kitchen [resizing]. Select 1 (Start Creating Project) & tap Enter

Its asking me where I want to get the ROM from. I'll just tap Enter since the default is PLACE folder.

I have Stock IMG ROM which is by boot and system image. I type 1 and tap Enter. Its asking me to name the ROM

I'll name it Hovatek then tap Enter. It'll copy, rename then extract. Some people start with system.new.dat

For that kind of situation, you use MTK extractor to convert from dat to img format then return to Assayyed

Its very important you have enough space on your PC because you might run into the "Clean up working folder" error

and you'll find out that system wasn't extracted. In that kind of situation, you either don't have enough space

After you unsign, you can the bring the image back to Assayyed. This process takes a while so be patient.

ROM name, I maintain Hovatek ROM. Wait while it generates the needed files (updater, meta-inf etc).

I advise you go for the default (kernel). If you encounter /system mount errors then get the mount point

hey I want to create custom rom from stock boot img & system img for my Samsung A5 2017. but assayed kitchen does not make meta inf. so how extract boot img & system img for stock rom? pls help

How do you get boot.img from a KDZ? I extracted all the files but they are all .BIN file extenstions.. not .IMG

what version of windows is your PC running on? Have you tried re-downloading the tool?

But Fix now, i just run your ASSAYYED into 64-bit to make it Compatible, But while in the progress from your Step by Step I got also Error that .IMG file cannot extract from the ASSAYYED, it supposed to be extracted and Generate a Folder name "System" right?

Ensure to follow the steps in the video. If it persiste then maybe there's no system.img in the folder, its not supported or there's no space on your PC
Respected all instructions to create a new MM rom for my Condor A55-Slim (Gionee S6). The zip file has been easily created, but when i try to flash it using TWRP, i get the message: err 7 some symlinks failed. Any help please?
I usually advise selecting RAW when packing the zip as that doesn't use any Symlinks. You should try that.

The truth is you're limited by the contents of the flashable zip. It'll usually contain just boot, system and 1 or 2 other partitions whereas stock firmware contains much more. You can't manufacture the remaining files out of thin air
I wants only create system.img , from cutom rom zip , i not need a complete firmware .

@@Aquariu5 If that's the case then you simply need to pack the rom as RAW in assayyed kitchen. Its explained in our video. The zip will then contain boot.img and system.img

Is it working for flashing firmware using stock recovery (install update using sd card) . Because my mtk device became undetectable even if i installed the right drivers . This only works in custom recoveries

@@sameepsingh4095 If your bootloader isn't already unlocked then fastboot won't work. Just look for the firmware for your model and flash it using a flash tool

All you need is boot.img and system.img

at the end my system image has 0mb, something gone wrong, can i just delete that system.img with 0mb and put inside the normal image?

@@HovatekTVThanks for answer, So I did everything the same but in the end the part of making the zip file, mine was very fast and then I went to see and my system.img had 0mb and the zip file only had 8mb that were from boot.img, then opened the zip file and deleted from inside the system.img from 0mb and pasted there the system.img that was before in the "place" folder, the zip file got 1GB and 400mb, try to flash and couldn't, I remembered now that also gave me error saying that I had to create a project first, I read that it was because of either having little storage space or because img was sign and had to leave her unsign, I did it and came back, then it was all normal until part of zip creation, what did i do wrong? can you help me? (I got bootloop on my Wiko Sunny 2 Plus with cwm recovery, and I'm trying to flash stock rom to be able to pull out of bootloop)
@@CooperTUGA Maybe there was an error either unpacking or repacking the system image. What you can do is to open the created zip using 7zip manager software then delete the system.img in it and drag your normal system.img into the zip then try flash the zip file. Hope you have a custom recovery installed on the phone and not stock recovery

I opened the zip file with winrar, deleted the system.img and put the normal system.img, flashed the zip by cwm and could not, tried later with another tutorial also did not work now was trying to use Android kitchen v. 0.224 but had two options to extract the system.img, ext2explore that did not load the image, and the other that stopped the img wrong, I will repeat now with Assayyed Kitchen, is fucked ...,
Hi Hovatek, after producing a zip file with the above tutorial, i get a "E:Error executing updater binary in zip" issue.
From what I have read, it's an error with the generated "updater-script" file. Any easy way to diagnose this? 'Error executing updater binary in your zip" is not very descriptive.
This is on a huawei P7 trying to install a stock factory ROM via TWRP (2.8.1) using "system.img" and "boot.img" using Huawei Update Extractor software.
when creating the project, which installer type did you choose? Normal or Aroma?
chose option 2 - standalone default.

Dear i cant find in place folder (system and boot img ) file.
You need to run the assayyed kitchen exe file in order to see the PLACE folder
i mean ( boot, system.img.ext4 ) i have get no this two img after start ASSAYYED Kitchen open PLACE folder.
You get them from the stock rom for your phone model

When packing the zip, choose to pack system.img as RAW. Also, do not make any modification in the tool. Just create a project using boot and system then pack

I'm guessing you have a stock recovery. You cannot flash a custom rom in stock recovery. You would need a custom recovery for that

First you need to have the stock recovery.img. You can then (have someone) use it to port a custom recovery. After which you flash the custom recovery to your device

brother thanks for this video but this was not a completely solution for a man to fix every file and remove problems some koryan mobiles need to conver to f and dual sim and add language remove apps and remove logo when you have full solution i can payment you to make me the solution file converter man

follow the guide carefully and you should get it right
It might be your system.img is sign unsign it first and then repeat the process to unsign using Fbwintools
