- Kia Ora! This week i'm back with Gotrek, and we're finally getting on to the NMM steel!
NMM isn't always a straight forward process, in fact almost every time I've done it (which is a lot) I've gone back to re do certain elements I didn't like. So in this tutorial video i'm going to show you how I stumble through the NMM shiny steel on Gotrek's axe and the more dull metal on other parts of the mini.
So if you're following along this multi part guide I hope this part 5 goes down a treat. And I hope seeing me go through the whole unabridged process helps you to understand how back and forth non metallic metal can be.
So enjoy this warhammer painting tutorial! NMM is something a lot of people find intimidating but this video should alleviate that worry and you can give it a go on any of your own miniatures, I know you can do it :D

Thanks so much mate! Really happy you’re enjoying the content. Definitely more to come!
AWESOME GUIDE!
Hi mate.Just found your channel. Really like your paint recipes. I have a small favour to ask... any chance you could make a video with no background music? I generally watch videos at 1.5 or 1.75 speed, and at that speed, your background music makes me feel like I'm in a weird dimension. :)
Thanks mate! Appreciate it. I’ve heard opposite opinions on music but maybe it’s just too loud, I’ll tone it down next time and see if that helps 🤘
Welcome back!!!
Good to be back 🤘
Welcome back dude, but what about the night lords painting tutorial?
Thanks mate! Haha well I’ve put myself in a tricky position with three ongoing series to finish and people asking for them all 😅 so just alternating. But night lords isn’t far away promise!
@@sloanerangerstudio9628 thanks for answering, yep i figure out that you have a lot of stuff to finish. Im willing to watch that night lords to try out with mines, ave dominus nox brother!
@@calipo thanks for understanding mate 🤘
love your videos - great job and very educating... can I ask for maybe adding a list of paints required in the beginning of the video or in the description? it is easier to navigate then when Im in the GW store. Thanks, man!
Thanks mate! Of course! Sorry I normally do, just forgot with this one.
Well I had a go, not 100% perfect but for my first try at NMM steel its not bad, I'm pretty happy with it and that last wash at the end really brought it to life. Thank you for this video series it was a real joy painting along with them and learning. I might do a short video displaying it.
Thanks mate! And thanks for watching! Make sure you tag me in anything you share!
Mate thank you sooo much for this video. Its awesome. Cant wait to start painting gotrek
My absolute pleasure mate and hope you enjoy it as much I have been!!
Finally! i can't wait to watch this absolute movie!
Hope you like it mate! It’s a bit different to my usual format ☺️🤘
Hey mate, please turn off your auto-focus. This was more a video about your hand tattoos with occasional Gotrek appearances, lol
Thanks for the feedback ! Working on the balance between working on various parts a model and being punched in so you can see detail
@@sloanerangerstudio9628 It's OK, I totally get it :-) I've been making videos as well (not nearly as good as yours are) and the one thing I had to fix first was that damned auto focus, lol.
@@CoffeeKen yea I feel ya man, i think my real problem is my annoying tendency to bring the model close to my eyes, and always out of frame haha
ah damn it, was with you all the way until this video but never done NMM before and am too scared to try it in such a gorgeous mini
Noooo it’s so easy mate! The skin was a trickier step haha you can do it 👌
@@sloanerangerstudio9628 well I painted the steel yesterday so I'll try the NMM gold
