that does look amazing ... but for a bit more speed - I think you could get 90% of that look with your first step - then once dried do the contrast paint (very thin) and dab off the excess - then dry brush the lot with a fleshy/bone colour... thoughts? - i.e. trying to do this a bit fast with less colours etc.

Love this video, as someone who really struggles to get a consistent result with NMM this is a great video and well explained.

How did I not see it before, incredible painting.

I painted my first squad a couple of weeks ago, Terminators painted as Night Lords. I used an Army Painter Air triad and painted exact opposite airbrushing a base, mid tone and highlight in a sort of zenithal with colors scheme. Starting with the gold would have been so much easier. I still ended up repainting much of the blue because the gold got away from me. Ended up looking good but took about 2 hours per model, not including drying time Yours looks terrific though.

One thing I love about videos like this is that I have a chart that converts GW and Vallejo paints to Army Painter counterparts. So even though I use Army painter, I can still follow along.

There’s something to be said for only putting damage in areas that would likely get damaged. Doing edges that are recessed back or protected by something overhanging detracts from the realism slightly. Less is more.

just used this tutorial for my own Ironclad, Changed out some of the colours for what I have, but my sweet god emperor the yellow you did on this arm is AMAZING! was there a video on that too? your painting skills are absolutely astounding

Wow! I have some Space Wolves. I thought that I didn't like the "classic" GW paint scheme with the Fang. I started painting a couple of them more gritty dark gray. But your execution of the "classic" scheme looks BEAUTIFUL. I may have to try doing something similar and comparing it to my dark gray prototypes. Thanks for posting!
