I have never seen gingerbread measuring spoons those are so adorable 👍👍👍
Thank you for showing even the chocolate one that didn't work. Lets us know that sometimes things DON'T come out, and it is OK! Too many times we beat ourselves up when we watch a video, and ours doesn't come out like the video makers did! Good to know it actually does happen to others. Anyhow, thanks for the recipes. Will be making some this year for Christmas gifts. Hope you and yours have a beautiful and Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
I like how you have your fingernails painted the Christmas festive colors
I love those cute little gingerbread measuring spoons!
Thanks, I got them at church basement holiday bazaar a few years ago
You can roll your soft mint fudge in balls and then roll them in cocoa powder, sprinkles, crushed candy canes before placing them in the cups. Their softness won't be as noticeable. I had the same problem with the mint kind one year. Someone suggested I should add a harder chocolate to the chips. Something like semi-sweet.
Yeah, that’s probably what I should have done. I didn’t know, it was still delicious 😋
That’s what we did!!!! It worked!!!!! ❤️
It's the mint chips that won't set up. Try using regular chips with mint extract than top the fudge with the mint chips. It should set up fine.
Yeah, I never used them before. I should have done the majority chocolate chips and then added them inside.
@@raesbakesthe milk chocolate is what got you. You are awesome
Yes growing up we either ate Mom's fudge with a spoon or hammer and chisel. God love her, she tried.
Thankyou for the ideas! ❤ my family loves homemade fudge for Christmas. I plan on making some using your recipes! Thankyou for sharing!
Parchment paper works perfect!!!
I usually use that but I don’t think I had any at the time
Oh gosh! I’ve just been making fudge during the week with some teenagers ready for their Christmas Market (today 10 Dec 2022) in aid of their club funds and the same thing happened to us with the last batch! I couldn’t believe it when, by chance, I found myself watching your video a few minutes ago! We didn’t use flavoured chocolate chips but I didn’t have enough chips so I used some chocolate palets … I wonder if that made the difference? We had lots that we’d made earlier in the day so all was not lost (and we’d made all sorts of other Christmas sweets but the favourite has always been the fudge 😘).
Is the pan an 8” square or 9”? Thankyou for the fudge recipes. I can’t wait to try them.😊
I believe the glass one I have is a 9x9, I am pretty sure the others were 8x8. You can use either one.
@@raesbakes Thankyou!!😊👍🏻
GG you had a good idea about putting the chocolate over to peanut butter I make fudge all the time and never thought of that pretty good thinking I'll have to try that one to make a peanut butter cup😊
When you take it out of the pan flip it over tear off the aluminum foil and cut it it's like easier😊
You need to use real chocolate chips not flavored ones or it won't set up. Best to use real chocolate chips then after melting add a little peppermint or mint extract. Doesn't take much. I break up peppermint candy or candy canes and sprinkle on top for decoration. I've never tried the peanut butter one but I'm going to. Think after it sets in fridge a bit I'll melt some milk chocolate chips and put over the top of the peanut butter one. Be like peanut butter cup fudge.
The peanut butter cup one sounds delicious.
I've made it with Nestle espresso flavored chips and it was perfect.
No
My mom and I always make peanut butter fudge for Christmas. She uses peanut butter and vanilla frosting and then she microwaves it.
@@ema8909I like you
the next time you make the mint fudge try using chocolate almond bark along with the mint chocolate chips and the sweet condensed milk and see if that works for you
You can also add a little marshmallow fluff. It will help it firm up ❤
Nice demonstration for quick fudge.
Please remove the sharp lid off the can before scooping out the contents.
Your hand came close to being cut.
I've always use parchment paper with my fudge. Hope this helps you, how do you do your marshmallow fudge?
I usually do as well but I may have ran out at that time. I do not make marshmallow fudge. Every time I have attempted to make marshmallow fudge, it turns into sludge. I never had any luck with it, so I just make the microwave and nobody knows the difference.
Try andies candy i melt it down and dip ritz crackers in them and they taste like thin mint Girl Scout cookies so it might work for fudge
I actually take ritz cracker, put peanut butter in them and dip them in chocolate… Ritz crackers are so good!! I’m going to have to try your recipe.
Use parchment paper I nstead if foil. Won't stick.. easier to remove from pan and won't hold the heat like foil does.
Freezer would be better. Did you put vanilla in the mint one?
I did not actually, I forgot
Can u use bars of chocolate.??
I know you can use the Bakers brand of chocolate bars but not sure about other bars like Hersheys
Are you suppose to butter the foil before you put the mixture in? New to your channel. Thank you for sharing.
I never have only because I don’t know if the butter will mess up the consistency of the fudge. The foil peels right off, unless the fudge still soft.
Since the mint was so soft you could have rolled them into balls and made truffles by dipping them into melted chocolate.
I might have to make more just to do this! lol
Very very good
I think I will put pecans on my chocolate fudge.
Question did you minus the weight of bowl
Yes, soon as I put the bowl on the scale I hit clear.
I like making my homemade fudge in the microwave oven also it's simple, it's easy, it's not complicated, because you don't have to stand over the stove stirring different ingredients for a long tiring drag out length of time making your wrist get sore so the microwave is much better for me to make my homemade fudge so this month for the holiday season I made vanilla and peanut butter fudge, combined together, and Reese's chocolate fudge, and caramel fudge😩😩😩😩😩
Thank you
Put them on crackers!! My Momma use to make fudge the old way every year when the Wizard of Oz came on and hers wouldn’t get hard every time and the saltines worked great!!!
You could also use m and ms in your fudge
That would definitely be good.
Put a little coconut oiln on the bottom of the tin foil. That way it comes out easier.
Great tip!
I did not follow how much peanuts, chocolate chips and the quantity of the other ingredients. Can you please give the quantity of the ingredients as I would like to make it for Christmas?
The recipe is in the description box.
Use parchment paper instead of foil, way easier to remove😍
I dont think I had any at the time
How to make Ricky road fudge
It could be that you used a glass pan for the mint chip fudge that it didn’t set
When I use mint flavored chips the smell penetrates any other candies that I put together in a container.
True. Peppermint oil is so strong
New subscriber to your Channel 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!! Welcome.
On the mint chocolate fudge, maybe it is the brand of chips.
I think that’s what it was as well. If I make it this year I will add do half and half of mint and chocolate
Love your nails
Thanks
The mint chocolate chips are artificial, I do believe. Some time years ago my white mint fudge did that and I infact used that same brand. Idea,... roll that muffed up mint fudge into balls, roll them in crumbled up Oreo cookies. Good video, BTW. 👍
Thanks for watching and for the input. I don’t remember what I did with it lol
@@raesbakes if I recall, my husband ate that stuff with a spoon. You know how they are.
I THINK MOST BAKERS OR CHEFS WOULD ADVISE YOU TO STIR THE CHOCLATE EVERY 30 SECS SO YOU DON'T SCORCH THE CHOCLATE.
Form the chocolate mint ones Into balls
15 minutes?
I think I started checking on mine at the 10 minute mark only because I know my oven runs a little warmer.
Sorry suppose to say GIGI
those choc chips look aniemic
Not sure what you mean
I have tried sugar-free Hershey semisweet chocolate and it reduced the sugar calories but not the sweetness. Alternate if anyone is allergic to sugar.
Mint won't set up. Neither will Milk Chocolate Chips set up. You need a harder chocolate chip like the semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips. Try using mint extract in your simi-sweet chips. I love the gingerbread measuring spoons❤😎.
Thanks! I actually found the measuring spoons at church basement holiday bazaar
