Imma pull a Trif here and say "Let's gooooo!! Plants best deck!!" (Seriously though, I've been wanting Sunavalons since i've seen the Vrains anime, and my wish has finally been fulfilled! I can finally play a plant deck that i can be happy about!)
The remaining Sunavalon/Sunvine cards to be printed are: 2 "Sunavalon" Link Monsters 3 "Sunvine"/"Sunavalon" Spells 4 "Sunvine"/"Sunavalon" Traps (one of which does not have either in its name)
The remaining cards would patch a lot of holes in the archetype: - Sunavalon Force would protect all the Sunavalon Link monsters from being targeted by card effect - Cursed Reborn would add consistancy and OTK potential as a Monster Reborn + atk increase - Sunbloom Doom would add a control layer (destruction from a grave trap sound really good) - Melias would allow Trasher OTK - Sunvine Burial would be a cool sidecard against control - Sunvine Plunder would make all Sky Striker deck cry after you steal their multi-launch Just Glorious Growth would be next to useless unless its effect is tweaked.
@@gabrieldoyen692 I mean, Glorious Growth gives a token and let's you accel link summon( das how you call synchro during your enemy?) so if you don't have shrine you should be able to summon a knightmare during your opponents turn. If it is limited to plants, the only combo I can think of is link 4 into activate bloom that you set
@@gabrieldoyen692 Is there something im not understanding here? Sunavalon Glorious Growth is their best unprinted trap card, its practically your 2nd win condition. Just needs to not blow itself up now and its good to go lol
There’s a card in the anime that turns any damage you take into LP gained and then you can summon tokens and link summon on either turn. It also means you can special summon stuff. It’s pretty strong in my opinion and it’s called ‘Sunavalon Glorious Growth’ they also have a card that steals face up spells (Sunvine Plunder) and then there’s one that protects everything and special summons (Sunavalon force I believe)
Just gonna point this out: The Dryas, Drayades, and Dryanome effects that require you to take battle or effect damage? Don't specify that it has to be from an opponent's effect or opponent's attack. Doesn't that mean you could technically damage yourself to trigger the effect? Haven't kept up to date with yugioh for some time, so I don't know what the ruling on that wording would be.
That's probably part of the idea. Mostly it seems like deck made to stall by preventing opponents from attacking and Destroying your monsters. But it does need some more offensive options.
Even if it required the damage to come from an opponent's card, you could just throw some weak monster at your opponent's bigger stuff during the battle phase and force it anyway.
Damaging yourself to trigger the effects is pretty nutty. Spam the board, gain back the LP you lost if your opponent tries to OTK you, then on your next turn Link into big monsters and go for game. Shrine can pitch a Normal plant and special summon it back, too. Tremendous Fire about to skyrocket in price lolz.
I actually very briefly considered it at first lol, not really needed though. They have enough openers that reach Dryanome + monster without it, and that's all they need to do their thing
We need the Armanos Legios archetype now so we can recreate the u link Spectre does against Lightning and then do the U link Lightning does to combat Spectre's u link
@@RawwkinGrimmie64 I'm curious if they'll ever print Judgement Arrows now that number C1000 and C10000 got printed. JA was such an important card in Vrains
Maybe they will limit it just for armatos legio, hydradrive and @ignister, because these were the 3 decks that mostly used it. I mean it deals double battle damage and gives you 3 free linked zones to play with so it must have a nerv...
Actually, what you said is the same reason this deck only beat Trickstars. Its a deck that in the anime set up a FULL board of 7 Link Monsters, and immediately lost ALL 7 in the next turn.
Yeah but it wasn't trickstars that broke their board, it was the main villain with Armatos Legio, and their field spell is a soulcharge minigun for link spam
@@goldensimp7729 The funny thing is when you actually look at their effects, the field spell is Armatos Legio's only really decent card. Lightning was hard-carried by that and JA
I really like this deck because it doesn’t do anything “unfair”. It’s a healthy deck that promotes an interesting play style without being broken or boring. We need more moderately powered decks like this!
Most decks are moderately powered. The only unfair decks are the modern combo decks, which leads to bad card design such as hand traps being necessary. Its basically combatting broken with broken. But eliminate generic omni/monster negates and hand traps and the game is fine. Never happening but eh.
Yet it will fail at promoting that because most people will only play competitive decks that will more likely win you the game. Stronger decks/archetypes can be interesting and fun too.
We need decks that are fun to play with and play against. Decks new players aren't gunna see and be like, well gg after the first turn and the like. I've always said, the best decks are ones that don't stop you having fun even if you lose against them. Like my friend and I, I play Melodious if I wanna win but I'll sometimes play Fortune Ladies, I've only won with the latter like twice out of the fifteen times I've used them against him, but I love the cards enough that I don't care if I lose and neither of us are using a deck that's unfair and restrictive to play against.
@@thewhisperingsylph8738 I’m not saying that strong decks can’t be fun. I’m just saying that we need decks that are fun to play against, like what Kitsu said.
Also it is actually missing one of the key cards in the start which helps a little in sunavalon force which prevents your opponent from targeting your sunavalon links with card effects which isn’t much but seeing some of the buffs the other cards got it could see a bit of a buff
The basic plays here pretty much involve going into Dryanome with 1 more monster on board. Then you attack your opponent's bigger monster with your other monster, heal off the damage and summon a Thrasher with 3200 Atk. This Thrasher can then attack and steal a monster, which you can summon in Atk position, attack something else, heal off the damage and summon a second Thrasher with 3200 Atk. This Thrasher can also steal a monster, which can attack as well and be used to summon a third Thrasher at 3200 Atk, then that can steal a third monster that you get to keep and attack your opponent with as well. This setup also leaves your Dryanome with a massive 9600 Atk on the following turn if you searched Bloom off Dryas, which you may want to do considering this doesn't always need Shrine to climb. Bloom also does not prevent those Thrashers under your big Link from attacking. Basically, you steal all your opponent's stuff and then beat them to death with big Thrashers. There are a few missing cards from the anime, notably Sunvine Cross Breed, Sunavalon Daphne, Sunavalon Melias and arguably Sunvine Plunder. Melias and Dryas allow the deck to potentially Extra Link and Melias in particular lets one Thrasher attack multiple times very easily.
To add on to this after testing for a bit, Rescue Rabbit is a great starter that leads into Dryanome on its own, and with any extender into at least double Thrasher, potentially triple Super Solar Nutrient seems like the best extender so far as with a Sunavalon link out Tributing a spare Genius Loci or Shadow to summon Lonefire Blossom ends on triple Thrasher and then some. Lonefire summons Sunseed Twin, which brings back Lonefire as we control a Sunavalon Link, then Lonefire gets Evil Thorn, which summons additional copies I also tested Black Garden and came to the conclusion of "don't run Black Garden". It hurts Thrasher too badly, unless EDOPro is bugged on the timing of activation for Thrasher and Garden.
The main thing I see this is missing is a consistent way to damage your-self sense if they had a card that could consistently deal damage to your-self I could see this working better but then you run to the critical problem where all your combos are completely reliant on one card so it would really need to be in this Archetype so your link Monster could search it.
Skull invitation seems to fit what you are looking for as every time a players card hits the graveyard that player takes 300 damage which the card counts hand, deck, field, extra deck and banish
apparently from the anime the big fight with them was against the trickstar player so I think it would have to be an original card to have self damage.
@@shinigamimaster94 yeah that's sort of works but then you run into more problems the three key ones being it's a trap so you must set it first, two it has no way to protected itself, and three you run into the problem I listed earlier of you have no means of searching that card.
@@thepyrostickfigure7637 traps being set aren't necessarily a problem as with a deck like this they are a good distraction for the opponent, cards don't have to be searched to be good and if you really want to protect it then use imperial custom which would also protect any other continuous traps as well or just accept that in this day and age everything is getting blown away as harpies feather duster, lightning storm, dark hole, raigeki, nibiru, and evenly matched exist and take the loss. personally if the card further the deck its worthwhile even with no protection
I guess you could run some kind of janky dark contract set up you can use D/D Savant Kepler to search it but yeah I can't think of a really good way to do it consistently, one for one Kepler to search a contract I guess shrug
Spector was one of the craziest characters in YGO history. I have high hopes for this.(also it gets some broken spell and trap cards later in the anime)
I’m sorry. Did you say an old, forgotten anime deck from my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! season is finally being printed? And it’s NOT Armatos Legio?!?!? Jokes aside, I really like the Sunavalon archetype and I hope they’ll be better in the TCG than they were in the anime.
What I think this archtype needed was for Sunvine Shrine to also protect Sunavalon and Sunvine from battle. That way you could ram your Sunavalon monsters into your opponents monsters, the Sunavalon would survive, then you would gain back any damage you took and special summon from the extra deck. If you controlled the link 3, you could even summon all 3 sunvine link monsters during the battle phase, by ramming each into your opponent and using the link 3's effect (remember he can use his effect thrice per turn).
EXACTLY bro. I'm actually excited for this Cimo seems to be missing the potential. They'll get destroyed in the current meta just because they can't do anything but with some field wiping cards or spell floodgates it could be a great going second deck.
So the cost of Aromage Trap Cards could activate the Trees which would then heal back the cost and summon a Sunvine off of a Search or Grave Summon? (Also potentially trigger Aromas on field when the effect activates)
@@cosmicbrownnie1380 I think an Aroma-Avalon mix could work, I personally haven't tried but I am using an sunavalon engine for my Aromage to gain 300 and summon seraphy jasmine off of a single unexpected dai. Makes Aromage opening far more consistent.
@@tysej4 After having tested a lot of Plant variants since I left this comment over a year ago. Aromage and Sunavalon don't perform as well in game as they do on paper. The first elephant in the room is related to my comment here; Aromage LP cost on the Winds traps don't trigger the Sunavalon heal. The Sunavalon trees only trigger on inflected damage, not paid damage. Although when the Sunavalon tree does heal it does still trigger eligible Aromages. The next glaring problem is the Aromages don't offer enough protection for the Sunavalon Links, they all are very vulnerable to targeted destruction and effect negation. Sunvine Maiden helps but having to run Sunavalon main deck cards to search her isn't worth it. She is searchable by Rikka Glamour if you tribute for it's secondary effect and search for Rikka Petal. In fact I found the most success piggy backing the Sunavalon Engine off of the Rikkas. Petal reoccurs from the grave during the opponent's end phase giving a body on board, Snowdrop the Rikka Fairy can turn any one Plant tribute on field to a double special summon of her and any plant in hand. If you run a Mardel + Rose Fairy package that's already 3 plants on board, additionally if you have Primula the Rikka Fairy or Rose Girl in hand while this happens it becomes 4 plants on board. Plant Princess' are worth considering as well, Chirubime/Marina/Talaya/Tytannial. Talaya ended up being very helpful for protecting the Sunavalon cards so I ran her at 1 in the final build. Another nice little tech that gave me the Link-3 Dryanome virtually for free is the Black Garden field spell which after 3 opponent summons offers 3 plants on board that can be instantly turned into Dryanome on your turn. My goal is usually to pass turn on a Rikka Snowdrop and/or Hyperyton (cheated out by Strenna) with Black Garden so my opponent helps me make a Sunavalon for free. My build is: Ash Blossom x3 Rikka Petal x3 Rose Fairy x1 Rose Girl x2 Rikka Primula x2 Rikka Mudan x2 Rikka Erica x1 Fairy Archer Ingunar x1 Rikka Snowdrop x3 Talaya of Cherry Blossoms x1 Mardel, Generaider x1 Black Garden x2 White Rose Cloister x2 Rikka Glamour x3 Rikka Flurries x2 Miracle Fertilizer x2 Super Solar Nutrient x1 Rose Bell of Revelations x1 Dark Ruler No More x2 One for One x1 Feather Duster x1 Twin Twisters x1 Rivalry of Warlords x2 Sunavalon Dryas x1 Sunvine Thrasher x3 Aromaseraphy Jasmine x2 Sunavalon Dryanome x1 Rikka Queen Strenna x1 Kanzashi the Rikka Queen x1 Fairy Knight Ingunar x1 Teardrop the Rikka Queen x3 Number 87: Queen of the Night x1 Sacred Treebeast, Hyperyton x1
@@cosmicbrownnie1380 Yeah that's a lot more Sunavalon than I am running xD. I can see the problem though, lack of synergy and basically just getting in the way of fully realising both decks. That said, as purely an engine for Aromage or more specifically for Aromaseraphy Jasmine, it's not half bad. One normal summon, or one dai special summon. I run one Seed, one Tree ,one healer and one Sunvine Shrine to allow me to link into Jasmine from the single seed. It's even better if I have a Aromaseraphy Angelica in Hand to discard for Sunvine Shrine. I can't discard it normally to futher set-up because I lack Aromages in Grave. With Unexpected Dai I am guarentied to get Seraphy Sweet Marjoram... With normal summon I am more or less guarentied to at least get Marjoram. Main deck I also run Evil Thorn, again just to improve opening hand consistency. My extra deck is just a bunch of Link and synchro staples outside of the Aromaseraphy monsters.
Spectre vs lightning was one of the best duels in the VRAINS series. I’d suggest that people that wanna see this deck in action watch that duel or the Spectre vs Blue Angel duel. Great chance to see a somewhat realistic rendition of this deck in action.
The thing about the 3 Sun Avalon Links that require you to take damage does not specify having your opponent do the damage to you. You can easily burn yourself with Cosmic Cyclone or crash something by battle. It's actually a pretty decent effect.
@@Ocsttiac ah right, I forget LP costs. I remember send vs discard, and discard costs not working for Shaddolls and Lunalights, but I always forget LP costs because so few relevant effects come up where burn matters.
For anyone who's wondering here's a list of good decks from the anime. Cyber Dragon Elemental Hero Blackwings D/D/D Destiny heroes Phantom Knights Dragon Link Perfomapal/ Odd eyes Altergeist Salmangreat Cyberse Link. Trickstar Gouki Supreme king Wind witch LunaLight Blue eyes Yugioh Vrains and Arc V had a lot of good ones. Day 95 of waiting for Lightning's deck to be printed. Also I know I probably missed some good anime decks.
Considering the deck runs so many Level 1 monsters, it will almost certainly use 3 copies of Where Arf Thou, as it can search a combo piece or handtrap while also nullifying the damage and making a link on End Phase. Using cards such as Zephyros and Trick Clown will be a lot harder, but it can pay off.
Damage condenser, fairy wind, skull invitation, double edged sword, spirit barrier, dark snake syndrome, blazing mirror force, and black garden all would work extremely well in this deck
Spirit Barrier is directly counterproductive and every card on this list except Black Garden (which seems very strong, actually) is a much worse alternative to just attacking with any main deck monster while you control Dryanome.
I see many comments saying you can trigger the trees yourself (which is true) but by paying lp for things like cosmic (which is wrong). Paying lp is not effect damage, it is an entirely different thing and paying for cards like the solemns is not going to proc any effect like these ones.
The link 2 and Co that serves for link climb is whatever(until we get a self burn card) but as an engine to turbo out jasmine without your ns is a godsend to plant decks, hell you can even trigger her search effect too without aroma cards or evil thorn. Plus now plants have their own field nuke in the link 4 if needed, as Rikka player I couldn't be happier
There is an old trap cards called “battle mania” that will force your opponent’s monster into attack position and force to attack if able, you could use that to get them to attack the link monsters if they aren’t
I think the point with the link monsters not being attackable is you're supposed to get the Sunvine Maiden into a zone that they point to and keep it there so that they can't get rid of the link monsters through attack or card effects, it would have to be with non-targeting removal
I think one cool thing about their link monsters is that their effect did not specify the source of battle / effect damage. So I think by ruling you can use cards that self-burn to trigger their effects? The cards that come into mind are stuff like tremendous fire, blazing mirror force and ring of destruction. Mayb with more support it could be played as some kind of anti-meta control/burn deck
Finally, mare mare has some company in the thrice per turn camp. Also, I imagine you can use the link 1 thrasher to steal a monster, summon it to the zone a link monster points to, then your link monster gains that atk in addition to the atk of the thrasher, then you can link the opponents monster during main phase 2. That’s a lot of setup, but it would be really cool if anyone ever pulls it off.
Honestly I'm loving this archetype. I loved it from the anime. Yes it is more battle oriented and the idea is sacrifice a player to protect the castle kind of. But the castle is hooking the players well in the scenario. Plus the where a whole bunch of spell and trap cards that were not in this from the anime. Main idea with this deck was control. I will feel like this is going to get somewhere. I don't know how far it will go but it should make an impact in my opinion.
LOOP OF DESTRUCTION FINALLY HAS A USE THAT CONTINUOUS TRAP THAT LETS YOU POP A CARD AND BURN BOTH PLAYERS ONCE PER TURN, PRINTED IN LAIR OF DARKNESS, HAS A USE, FINALLY!
I think the real win condition the deck needs is the continuous trap from the anime that burns your opponent the same amount you heal each time. It also lets you link summon during your opponents turns. Another thing to note is that if you take effect damage from your own effect, it will still activate the link effects.
Just wondering Cimoooooo what website did you use for this and past similar videos, as I’m unfamiliar with it. Also keep up the good work as you are provide the majority of my entertainment during lockdown.
"So now they're like Aromages" This is what I thought the moment I saw them in the anime. And it's why I can't wait to play them. Aromages are one of my all time favourite archetypes. I really hope no one manages to find some exploit that somehow makes these guys top tier. I don't even care if they're good, but if any of them ever end up getting limited or banned then I couldn't play them, and that'd suck.
As far as I see it can work with Aromages since you gain life points back, some of cards tribute plants, so you might add Rikka, also Sylvan Cherubsprout can summon vanilla from the deck. You just need a consistent way to damage yourself.
The Sunavalon Bloom card was actually very cool to see. It didn't say it had to be a Sunavalon or Sunvine link monster to use its effect. Because it's a continuous trap, I feel like it could work well in other plant archetypes and decks, just maybe not this one.
You can smell the Synergy with Aromas....feel it coming from every single LP you receive when you special summon a Sunavalon......taste it as you lick......okey, I think I'm going to far with this, but you get my point. Day 599 of waiting for Good Pyro/Volcanic Support to arrive...
@@anakinsmith4770 Loop of Destruction is a Continuous Trap that, once per turn, lets you pop a monster and burn both players for 1000. That's going to be super important here, plus having Aromage Jasmine for extra draw power. Maybe throw in Aroma Rosemary, the Level 6 Synchro, to get off another free pop once per turn, or Aromaseraphy Rosemary to negate the effects of a face-up card. The synergy does exist, it just takes a good build.
They could have done great things with this if they did it right but instead they made it too close to the anime which often, especially in this case, goes for decks that revolve around countering opponents in specific ways, which would be good, until you realize that the primary way is battle. They could have added a real life new cad that damages your self to proc the trees, but they didn't. Disappointed. But hey at least they might get that link 3 link climb machine that was used in Specter's last duel
The deck has a work around with the ability to summon link monsters during your foe’s turn. But only in the animated series. D/d/d cards with have to do for the self damage part.
Skull invitation perhaps? Need one turn to set up, but then each time you link summon, you can summon an aditional link monster, that would then be used to link summon again.
Not needed. Go second, get to Dryanome and any monster and you're set. You attack them, you don't wait for them to damage you or burn yourself, unless with something like Zephyros or Trick Clown. Your extra monster attacks them, dies and you take damage which summons a Thrasher to steal one of their monsters, which you also crash, taking more damage to summon a second Thrasher, which you use to steal a second monster, which then crashes to cause more damage to you you can use for your third Thrasher.
Dryas is actually pretty good not because of what it does but because of what it is: A link 1 plant monster that monster that doesn’t restrict other summons with good materials and a down pointing link arrow. What this means is that it gives World Legacy Succession added versatility to both help you get into Aromaseraphy Jasmine and to give your Jasmine tribute fodder (plus just being a good extender in general). This also makes a certain banned tuner monster into a 1 card Jasmine and was which would be excellent assuming Halqifibrax gets banned and tuners are no longer game breaking. Also it can search the spell which could be good because you already play rabbit and Dai in the deck.
Nah, you attack them. Attack their stronger things, use the damage to summon very big Thrashers and then start stealing their monsters and making more Thrashers. You don't really want to trigger Sunavalon effects on your opponent's turn considering Gardna and Healer are terrible.
You missed one thing on the trees. The card doesn't say the damage has to come from an opponent, you can do damage to yourself. Also, I imagine the idea is to get out the effect negater, a big Sunavalon, and then keep using the summon power.
The link monster effects appear to trigger when you take damage so using cards that damage your LP would activate their effects and the cost for using the LP cards gets nullified
Wait...dryatrentiay points up. With the way its effect is worded, does that mean it can just tribute an opponent's monster if you can get some alignments right?
Basically the tree links are really good in an aroma deck. Also sunvine healer which all it does is when special summoned/link summoned it heals you for 300 usually. Thats it really. This can be used in possibly all plant decks when comboed with aromaseraphy jasmine link that searches 1 plant when you gain lp. Usually that effect is useless because its too hard to do in non aroma plant decks. But this new link may make it a lot easier Im not sure but gigaplant may be able to be used as a normal monster for sunvine healer
So I agree that this archetype as an actual deck is pretty terrible. BUT some of the cards could be useful as an engine in plant decks - specifically Aroma. Dai + any card becomes a free Jasmine thanks to Shrine being searched off the link 1. Where arf thou also gains a lot of power with this engine, since there are a bunch of great lv 1 plants to search (Its penalty would also trigger the Links' effects in the EP too) Healer could even be used off of the revived Loci as a tech to raise your LP to summon Laurel, or to trigger a Jasmine you NS. As for the others... eh. Shadow could have some potential use in the engine but would be a bit bricky and its GY eff is most useful with the L2 who is the worst of the bunch. Twins is a bit clunky to set up, though could be used with Trumpeter to make Sync Marge. The trap might be okay as a 1-of if you play the L4 but that's a whole lotta resources right there - particularly since the L4 does NOT have the ED summon eff. One thing to keep an eye out is that you can proc the damage effects yourself with burn cards or crashing your stuff into the opponent. The latter is not exactly optimal but the former might have some utility. I already mentioned WAT's synergy, and I'm sure there are other cards you could utilise (Ring of Destruction perhaps?). Food for thought
0:28 Rokkets/Borrel: Am I a joke to you? 9:16: I prefer its anime effect on that part where you reduce battle damage by 800* the link rating of the Sunavalon it links to. That means you can get away with no battle damage at all. 14:43: Yes they will, they still have more Sunavalon cards that was from the anime like Sunavalon daphine that recycles your Sunavalon/sunvine cards and Sunavalon melias which just makes your thrasher or the link 4 Sunavalon Monster(with Sunavalon bloom) a Monster with multiple attacks. Unpopular opinion: I prefer the sun vines to blow themselves up if they have no Sunavalon link Monsters to point to them. This part is the anime effect. The OCG/TCG effect just makes it easier to wipe the board since it only takes one card effect to do that. At least that Sunavalon link 1 and link 2 didn’t have the effect of “if this card was link summoned, you cannot link summon link monsters using this card as material for the rest of the turn” because it’s annoying. This effect is from the anime.
Finally, my favorite deck in Vrains will be released. What is funny with this deck is when I tried this deck on Ygopro to build a 40 card Spectre deck, I found that Trumpeter is a card. So I bought this card with the hope that Sunavalon/Sunvine will be released. Some times later, Adamancipator got released and started to use Trumpeter. But now, my Trumpeters will finally fulfill his true objective : be used in the right deck !!! \o/
Alot of the rikka cards would mesh well with the archetype, the lvl 8 rikka could easily get out the normal plant monster and pedal being in the grave would help with the recursiveness of the plant engine
I wonder if a card like Dark Snake Syndrome or any similar cards (not really sure if there are any) could work as tech to help prop the Sunavalons effects at least once during your own turn.
No. They trigger their effects on your own turn by attacking your opponent's stronger monsters with your other ones. Any opener that gets to Dryanome + Monster can make 3 3200-Atk Thrashers and steal 4 opponent's monsters in the process, keeping the last one or if it's a link using it to make Dryatrentiay.
The Sunavalon trees' heal looks good for gaining back what's lost but LP are a dime a dozen so the only thing I can think that would gain advantage from the healing bonus and fulfill the type requirement would be the Aromages. The way I see it, the Sunavalon deck is currently unfinished so building a deck around it isn't wise yet. I currently have an Aromage/Rikka Black Garden build that can pump out enough plants to more than fulfill the cost. The weak point of the deck is not having consistent LP healing which sounds like the issue Sunavalon answers. Going off first glance the Link 1, 3, and 4 are the least restrictive summons and Sunvine Thrasher is the only worthwhile vine Link. Save for the Bloom Trap which can be run at a 1 since the Link-4 can search it, these pieces don't take up much residence in the deck which maintains it's original consistency, and freeing up 6 Extra Deck slots is a lot more cost efficient than 7+. Considering both the Rikkas and Sunavalon cards lock the user into Plant Extra Deck Summons my lineup is looking like: Sunavalon Dryas x1 Sunavalon Dryanome x1 Sunavalon Dryatrentiay x1 Sunvine Thrasher x3 Aromaseraphy Jasmine x2 Aromaseraphy Sweet Marjoram x1 Garden Rose Maiden x1 Rikka Queen Strenna x1 Kanzashi the Rikka Queen x1 Teardrop the Rikka Queen x2 Divine Treebeast High Peryton x1
they need to give Bohman's Hydradrives, Lightning's Armatos Legio, and Shepherd's Drones a TCG/OCG release too. In fact Bohman's Hydradrives are the only way Link Party will ever see play ;)

3 "Sunvine"/"Sunavalon" Spells
4 "Sunvine"/"Sunavalon" Traps (one of which does not have either in its name)
All the salamangreat "of fire" spells are treated as salamamgreat spells, so maybe glorious growth treats itself as a sunvine
Melias is the one I really want, multiattacking Thrasher screams OTK machine

- Sunavalon Force would protect all the Sunavalon Link monsters from being targeted by card effect
- Cursed Reborn would add consistancy and OTK potential as a Monster Reborn + atk increase
- Sunbloom Doom would add a control layer (destruction from a grave trap sound really good)

Then... let’s hope the Sunavalon Glorious Growth” will come to life real card in future
Actually yes, unless they make some dumb ruling for these cards specifically, it should would like that
That's probably part of the idea.
Thought the same, then again these aren't all the cards to the archtype either. lmao
@Jacob Box No, solemn is "paying" for the cost of the card. Not effect damage.

@@PathBeyondTheDark Ugghhh. Totally agree, and it sucks!
We need decks that are fun to play with and play against. Decks new players aren't gunna see and be like, well gg after the first turn and the like.
To add on to this after testing for a bit, Rescue Rabbit is a great starter that leads into Dryanome on its own, and with any extender into at least double Thrasher, potentially triple
Super Solar Nutrient seems like the best extender so far as with a Sunavalon link out Tributing a spare Genius Loci or Shadow to summon Lonefire Blossom ends on triple Thrasher and then some. Lonefire summons Sunseed Twin, which brings back Lonefire as we control a Sunavalon Link, then Lonefire gets Evil Thorn, which summons additional copies
I also tested Black Garden and came to the conclusion of "don't run Black Garden".

Finally a deck to play Tremendous Fire in
EXACTLY bro. I'm actually excited for this Cimo seems to be missing the potential. They'll get destroyed in the current meta just because they can't do anything but with some field wiping cards or spell floodgates it could be a great going second deck.
You can damage yourself to trigger the Link monsters effects
So the cost of Aromage Trap Cards could activate the Trees which would then heal back the cost and summon a Sunvine off of a Search or Grave Summon? (Also potentially trigger Aromas on field when the effect activates)
@@cosmicbrownnie1380 I think an Aroma-Avalon mix could work, I personally haven't tried but I am using an sunavalon engine for my Aromage to gain 300 and summon seraphy jasmine off of a single unexpected dai. Makes Aromage opening far more consistent.
@@tysej4
After having tested a lot of Plant variants since I left this comment over a year ago.

Rikka Petal x3

The thing about the 3 Sun Avalon Links that require you to take damage does not specify having your opponent do the damage to you. You can easily burn yourself with Cosmic Cyclone or crash something by battle. It's actually a pretty decent effect.
Comic cyclone doesn't cause you to take damage, cards that say "pay x LP" wouldn't trigger
You cannot use pay LP cards to trigger the effects; this is NOT Duel Links lmao whenever any cards that can reduce LP can trigger skills

Damage condenser, fairy wind, skull invitation, double edged sword, spirit barrier, dark snake syndrome, blazing mirror force, and black garden all would work extremely well in this deck
yo black garden is a very great idea, I'm going to make a deck of it for sure
Spirit Barrier is directly counterproductive and every card on this list except Black Garden (which seems very strong, actually) is a much worse alternative to just attacking with any main deck monster while you control Dryanome.
Sunavalon. "Yep, this deck beats Trickstar."
I don't know whether the deck is good or meta, but I loved this deck in the anime....
I'm surely building it....🔥
New plant deck
Lonefire: It's free real estate
Also we need Glorious growth and Sunavalon force
I see many comments saying you can trigger the trees yourself (which is true) but by paying lp for things like cosmic (which is wrong). Paying lp is not effect damage, it is an entirely different thing and paying for cards like the solemns is not going to proc any effect like these ones.
That shoots down my idea to pay back Aromage continuous traps
I smell a whole lot of "No disruptions, go ahead"
Lmao
The link 2 and Co that serves for link climb is whatever(until we get a self burn card) but as an engine to turbo out jasmine without your ns is a godsend to plant decks, hell you can even trigger her search effect too without aroma cards or evil thorn. Plus now plants have their own field nuke in the link 4 if needed, as Rikka player I couldn't be happier
Aroma Seraphy Jasmine is looking MIGHTY fine right now....
There is an old trap cards called “battle mania” that will force your opponent’s monster into attack position and force to attack if able, you could use that to get them to attack the link monsters if they aren’t
This just won’t be a meta deck, this will be the most powerful deck this meta will see, very soon.
Laugh in Infernoble, Dragon Link and Dino deck 😂

No
I don’t care how this deck turns out, it was one of my favorites from VRAINS and I’ve been waiting so long for it to come to the game, so imma get it.
I'm just happy one of my favorite characters Spectre is getting his deck released. Also yeah, he has more cards still anime-only.
I think the point with the link monsters not being attackable is you're supposed to get the Sunvine Maiden into a zone that they point to and keep it there so that they can't get rid of the link monsters through attack or card effects, it would have to be with non-targeting removal
There should be a way to inflict yourself effect damage with plants cards? no?
So, can we all agree to call the tree “mommy”
Mom tree, can we do some shenaningan now?
I think one cool thing about their link monsters is that their effect did not specify the source of battle / effect damage. So I think by ruling you can use cards that self-burn to trigger their effects? The cards that come into mind are stuff like tremendous fire, blazing mirror force and ring of destruction. Mayb with more support it could be played as some kind of anti-meta control/burn deck
"link 4 or higher"
I smell a smelly smell that smells smelly
I don't know how far it will go but it should make an impact in my opinion.
you can trigger the main link monsters effect with something like ring of destruction

I think the real win condition the deck needs is the continuous trap from the anime that burns your opponent the same amount you heal each time. It also lets you link summon during your opponents turns. Another thing to note is that if you take effect damage from your own effect, it will still activate the link effects.

Since I watched Fatfa’s mystic mine video, every single time I hear your intro I break into laughter imagining you making a mystic mine deck profile.

How would mixing them with aromages work?
Very good it turns out
Dryas is actually pretty good not because of what it does but because of what it is: A link 1 plant monster that monster that doesn’t restrict other summons with good materials and a down pointing link arrow.
Just play all out attacks so they must attack u every turn if able.
Savage colosseum
Nah, you attack them. Attack their stronger things, use the damage to summon very big Thrashers and then start stealing their monsters and making more Thrashers. You don't really want to trigger Sunavalon effects on your opponent's turn considering Gardna and Healer are terrible.
Do you have that feeling if that you see a effect monster with 0 atk/ def , it has a effect that might destroy your field with a snap
No. It must be a monster you control. Same wording as Decode Talker, and that card only permits you to tribute monsters you control.
But this new link may make it a lot easier
Im not sure but gigaplant may be able to be used as a normal monster for sunvine healer
Is this aroma support ?? Because their effect is good for aroma, like recycling conti trap, gain lifepoint.
Three years later this archetype is tier 1 lol
Bloom is part of my main strategy with the deck, its speedrun into the link 4 build a thrasher or two, then make my opponent go boom.
I feel that the black rose would work well with this deck, especially black rose garden
My boy Specter finally got the recognition he deserves
I'm so happy I love specters character and watching vrains i always wanted to play sunavalon
Alot of the rikka cards would mesh well with the archetype, the lvl 8 rikka could easily get out the normal plant monster and pedal being in the grave would help with the recursiveness of the plant engine
Could this work with Predaplant???
I wonder if a card like Dark Snake Syndrome or any similar cards (not really sure if there are any) could work as tech to help prop the Sunavalons effects at least once during your own turn.
No. They trigger their effects on your own turn by attacking your opponent's stronger monsters with your other ones. Any opener that gets to Dryanome + Monster can make 3 3200-Atk Thrashers and steal 4 opponent's monsters in the process, keeping the last one or if it's a link using it to make Dryatrentiay.
Waiting for armatos legios lets go boiis
Considering both the Rikkas and Sunavalon cards lock the user into Plant Extra Deck Summons my lineup is looking like:
Sunavalon Dryas x1
Sunavalon Dryanome x1
Sunavalon Dryatrentiay x1
Sunvine Thrasher x3
Aromaseraphy Jasmine x2
Aromaseraphy Sweet Marjoram x1
Garden Rose Maiden x1
Rikka Queen Strenna x1
Kanzashi the Rikka Queen x1
Teardrop the Rikka Queen x2
Divine Treebeast High Peryton x1
Always love to see anime archetypes
10:20 fun fact, in the anime this deck was used against trickstars.
Bean Soliders TIME IS NOW!!!!!!!
they need to give Bohman's Hydradrives,
Lightning's Armatos Legio,
and Shepherd's Drones a TCG/OCG release too.
In fact Bohman's Hydradrives are the only way Link Party will ever see play ;)
The trees are growing lol. I don't know why but it seems so funny to me.
It is missing the burn trap and the card that let's you link summon during opponent's turn
Will my body as a shield trigger these if you use it?
Cimo come on dude have you seen the anime?! Nothing has changed that effect with the Sunavalon and sunvine were like that before
When are they coming out?
The first thing that came
To mind when watching this today was All out Attacks
Been waiting for that since episode 34 of Vrains
