    Thank you so much for sharing this, Samantha!! This is such a great idea with unlimited possibilities 😃 your work turns out so beautiful and this group of pendants is no exception. I like the way the circles really cleaned up with the light sanding, they all looked great!! I love watching your tutorials and I really appreciate your teaching, experience, encouragement, ideas, skills, product knowledge- all of it!!! Thank you 🙏

    I love this method of MG, thank you! A suggestion, take a photo with your phone after making the rings and BEFORE burnishing. Then you can see exactly what cutters go where to match up the original cutting layout!

    Thank you. This tutorial shows all the steps for bead making. Have you ever made hair clips with your beads? I think they would look really nice.

    Lovely beads. The simple elegance of black & white is timeless. Plus the beads can be mixed with other colored beads to create endless applications. I always strive to have black & white beads for inspiration. This may sound odd but I am curious, have you heard of a resin that is not so glossy? A client of mine likes the thickness or resin but prefers a matte finish. I tried a fine grit sanding on resin then added a matte topcoat but the sanded resin created a cloudy look. Simply adding many layers of matte topcoat on beads did not create the thick layer she desired.

    LOVE mokume gane! It's my favourite technique along with left over cane Natasha beads!
    Now, before you start shaving off the thin surface clay, do you let the clay firm up or do you start shaving it off right away?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 года назад +2

      I don't tend to let it sit, but I did record this in winter so the clay was already fairly cold. If it is soft I'd leave it to set for a few minutes before shaving.

    Hello Samantha, what size of the moonstone cutters did you use?

  • @ellens4048

    Wonderful! Do you dome resin the back as well or do a flat coat? I have a great deal of trouble getting the resin applied nicely on the edges. Any suggestions?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 года назад

      I just resin the front. The sides and back I tend to sand to a light sheen.

    Why is this resin better?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 года назад +1

      Because it doesn't spill over the edges as easily as other resins.
