Hi I just ran across your video after recently purchasing my P2 and binging people setting up theirs. One thing I’d would recommend is checking the tracking force on your set up. You want to set the weight for the arm to float (not go up or down) then latch it down and turn the weight one rotation to tighten. One rotation = 2g. The tracking force needed for the cartridge that comes with the p2 and p1 is 2 grams. Cheers
Congratulations on your new Rega set up. I got my Rega set up last October. I have the Rega planar 2 turntable,Rega Brio amp and RX 1 speakers (in black). Your speakers look different to mine. I don’t use the felt slip mat on mine.
Hi ! I am French so excuse my english... I bought a Rega Planar 2 with Rega Kyte speakers and IO ampli. I have everything except the speaker cable ? Which one do you think I should buy ? What is the one you use ?
Nice to see a complete Rega setup. I have the P2 as well and it's a great turntable. One tip: make sure you setup the tracking force/counterweight correctly. Too much or not enough tracking force could damage your records. And make sure it's levelled. Cheers!
To set the cartridge a electronic stylus balance tool is great because you put your stylus on it the move the counterweight until its correct, put the bias on zero then on 1.
Pls. check the tracking force. I think that will be around 2.5 to 2.75 grams. And also don't cover the record while it's playing, leave the cover lid open. It will pick up resonance while the cover is down.
I would suggest leaving the tracking force at 2g. I would also suggest closing the lid as the static on the disc will attract more dust which will get into the grooves affecting the playback quality. Over time the record will sound like it has loads of scratches, especiallyif it is not cleaned. If the lid is down, it should not cause resonance, usually manufacturers add rubber to the front corners of the dust lid to prevent this.
Nice video, but you might want to check the balance between the background music and voice a bit better - there are times when it is very hard to understand what you are saying.
Interesting unboxing but terrible audio, at least the one coming out of my tv speakers. Could not hear what you were saying only the loop music playing in the background.
That is absolutely not how you setup a tone arm…you have to balance it first, then set the tracking force and you should always double check with a stylus gauge.
encouraging to see the increasing popularity of vinyl replay, but (as previously stated) the young lady in question has no clue about how to setup a turntable. screwing on the counterweight all the way and resting the stylus on the platter without any attempt to adjust the tracking force/anti skating is not the way to balance the arm. Maybe she should have gone for a P1?
joyce you should not put the speakers where your turntable is bcoz vibrations from the speakers is bad for the turntable. your music will skip and needle will jump.
Just put the speakers near the turntable...🤣 Chief of rega spent milions and milions hours to kill vibrations to make perfect table and people pay for stuff and made super easy bullshit... 😉🤣😃
well that was all wrong !! do your research people, and set yours up properly. speakers shouldn't be on same place the speakers are on, and that's not the way to set up the tone ATM and counter weight geesh!
That constant background music loop is maddening.
I'd get those speakers well away from the turntable and stick them on stands, you will hear the benefits....great video and very enjoyable.

Rega make solid equipment I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years.
I just received my Rega Planar 2. No judging here. Component systems are more complex than the distant past. Nice shelves!

Congrats. Did you hit the wall opening the dust cover? Hope not.
Very nice setup! Happy Planar 1 owner here too. Can't really go wrong with Rega. ❤️😁
So true! 🤟🏻
Great turntable
I have a Planar 2.5 (A Planar 2 with a Planar 3 tonearm)

I love the vinyl shelf. I use a planar 2 but the old version.
Sade, very good choice.

tnx, but putting the speakers and the turntable on the same plane is a no no.

Is that a Fox ?.

You would get much better sound from your components using a proper hifi stand with carpet spikes.
You should research how to set this up properly. You haven't adjusted the tracking force and you need to move the speakers away from the player

Noted on this! :) thanks Michael!
@@JoycePringTV Hi! So hows your rega today? How is it performing?
3:07: Only quality equipment makes this kind of sound droping it in a shelf :)
A very non-traditional way to set the tracking force to say the least.
coincidence helps :)
I was waiting for Aaron Atayde's intro to Shots of Sanity when I heard the music at the start. 😄
Hahaha got it from him!!!
who is aaron atayde?
Queen - Jazz, on vinyl.
I am jealous :) nice setup though :)
The anti skate bias is faulty as the arm doesnt try to move back by itself to the right
Just put the speakers near the turntable...🤣

😉🤣😃
6:35 that’s the slip mat not the dust cover.
😂😂
Mega Normie
Voice unintelligible, since the mic is too far and the music too loud.
Bowie watcha doin?🤔 Congratulations po sa Casa Triviño 2.0❤️
Thank you!
Bakit nawala ang sound 9:26?
For copyright reason😊
Plaka?? Eh di ba panahon pa yan ng Great-Great (or sometime one more "great") grand parents natin? LOL
Wala bang pa giveaway jan loves!!! Hahahahahah
Hahaha soon!!!
Hi ate Joyce
Hello! ❤️
You need to look at some videos on balancing your arm, it definitely won't work properly on how you just did it.
that was really painful
well that was all wrong !! do your research people, and set yours up properly. speakers shouldn't be on same place the speakers are on, and that's not the way to set up the tone ATM and counter weight geesh!
Not a great way to present, why background music..
That has to be one of the worst videos i have ever seen.
Not a scooby doo it ain’t even correctly levelled as you can see the whole thing rock as you lift up the cover 🤣
You have got no clue what you are doing dont you?
