I havent finished the video. The intro did something to me. Im crying now. I have felt so much pressure recently. I've felt so alone. Something about the visual and the sound just gave me the space to feel all of it and just let it come through. Then you spoke. You have a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing so unapologetically.
That was lovely to listen to, both your story, the ambient guitar, as well as your wisdom. I'd like to reflect back what you've said and add my own thoughts, for there we can get at the convergence of all those threads that point back to what we truly want - the best life - as far as we can come to see it. A key idea in your thinking, whether you realize the profundity or not, is that of learning. I would say that learning is fundamental. You could call it growth or development, but those are both preceded by learning. You talk of being bullied when you were younger, in which we can see how children learn to be the particular type of people they are. We can say they chose to bully you, but where in the conditioning were they choosing to act that way? They came to learn that fitting in was cool, that to fit in you make fun of others, that their actions were the best options available to them. When do we choose to come depressed? We come to learn helplessness based on the patterns we see in the world. Ultimately all that learning is, is to get at the patterns we find in the world and assimilate them into our way of knowing and being in the world. This is almost all implicit learning, there without any effort on our part, for we are always learning whether we know it or not. However, learning does not arrive at truths. It approximates or generalizes across the patterns we see in the world, but it is fallible, and leads us astray. Learning however can lift us up just as much as it can pull us down. There are real patterns in the world that give rise to the order within chaos. What is spirituality except a spiral? Looking at it from above you just see a circle, for it always takes us back to where we started. But look at the side and you see just how much was learned. We no longer come to inhabit the same perspective as when we started, so although nothing changes, everything changes. I learn from your video too. I am reminded that although I love the Intellect that gives rise to our ability of making sense in the world, that there are other fundamentals too - that of being in the world. The trinity that is the Intellect, being (existence), and being in the world, are best kept in optimal alignment. All of the learning is great - the differentiation amongst parts so as to see the greater whole. But all of the learning is to afford us a way of engaging in life, for we are fundamentally beings-in-the-world. We fall into traps when we are out of alignment, for even spirituality presents traps that many fall into (identifying with no-self, which is still an identification by some self). I think you're doing OK though. I like your point about how we can grow to become more courageous, thus opening up the world to new possible ways of being in it. Thank you for your insight.
Für mich fühlt sich die Melodie am Anfang sehr nach "Aufbruchsstimmung" an. Weiß gar nicht was das englische Wort dafür ist. Etwas bricht auf, von innen heraus, irgendwie ein schönes Wort, wenns auch etwas brachial klingt. Aber ja irgendwie hat es etwas vom gefühlten "Beginn" bzw. dem nächsten Kapitel einer Reise. Jedenfalls fand ich die Sonnenreflektion sehr harmonisch mit dem Klang! Deine Stimme trägt eine große Gabe in sich, sie wirkt Seelen erweckend, reine Quellenergie fließt durch deinen freien Ausdruck!
