- this tutorial shows how to switch the Panasonic HC-VX870 (and many others Panasonic like HC-V770, V777, WV970 and so on. very simple method, you can come back to PAL when you want using the same procedure!

Worked on the V180 and a V380 too. Had to be done with SD card removed, and then reformatted once put back in (camera in NTSC mode will not recognise a card formatted in Pal mode & vice-versa).
Thank you! I just got a VXF990 and it was recording 60fps despite being in England! The buttons for VXF990 are Playback + HDR + Zoom Wide but the menu is the same.
I’ve been wondering why the 4K NTSC footage looked too grainy. The high FPS is the problem. By switching to PAL, the default 30 drops to 25 (which is as close to the 24fps filming standard as you can get with this camera). Great tip on the switch. Thank you.
Works on the HC550v, thank you, now i can have same FPS set as my Samsung S23+ @ 60fps
For your information on the HCX-929 you have to press the iA button, O.I.S button and the W button.

It works, though you will have to reformat your SD cards afterwards as the data is not compatible for them, which is a bit ridiculous, probably some stored setting on there.

Will this work on AG UX90 series?
I figured out how to do it on the AG UX90. You press the W button like he's doing, MENU, and O.I.S.
From there, there are a lot of options - but if you look around, you can find where to switch between PAL and NTSC.
I followed your tips step by step and now my camera shows a black screen;Error 01 PC connect Test Low How to solve this?

yes should work, try this:
1 Hold the zoom button in the "W" position + iA button + O.I.S button until the menu appears.
2. Press BAK in the [FACT SETTING] menu, the camcorder will go to [FACT MENU].
3. Select the "NTSC PAL SET" item, select the desired mode and press set. And to return to PAL I think is the same, please tell me if it work ;)

@@marcoGismondi93 I did it and it worked on my HC-x929 (same model but for Europe). I changed it back to 50p to be honest, I prefer to have lower fps and better bitrate per frame.
Do you know if there is any way to restore factory defaults or even do a firmware update? I tried to find newer firmware but every single site has virus and sketchy ways (like asking for debit card info lol)
Works, following the advices above (iA, OIS, W)
And the SD card needs to be formatted after (so backup your data before)

Its not works, the data is not incompactible, what kind memory card did you use??
Format the card, as the videos and details on card are not the same as the new settings (pal v NTSC), must be formatted in camera for the new settings.
