The Knicks is gunna be fine. Everything is gunna be a collective effort if they don’t go get someone else , They still got Duece , Shamet , Towns, Payne, OG and Bridges who can shoot the 3 , we will be fine
The team effort is what most ppl are forgetting about. That next man up mindset. The team is better and Leon might still be working on more additions. The Knicks are being built to win. Being a fan for over 45 years i believe in this team. The team has similar qualities of the last Knicks championship team
If we were going to get rid of a talented guard for a center, we should have got rid of Deuce instead . Probably we could have gotten Bridges for 3 first round picks and Deuce. We then could have traded three first round picks for Kessler . Devo could have started in that scenario , if Bridges played the 3:and the injury prone OG comes off the bench .
So we gon ignore the fact that Devo is a champion. I feel like losing him will hurt us
He wasn’t a huge part of that chip, Mikal was more impactful in his run to the Finals
Honestly I’m not a Randle fan but his rebounding was good. Bc we lost Donte a true scorer and a pick Towns in my opinion just wasn’t worth it.
With duece mikal hart getting minutes for divo would be a problem he would probably just regress to being to the same player he was at the beginning of the year he’s need volume/minutes cause he’s a rhythm guy

We got that in Kat and bridges. we need a sniper off the bench. Donte was the guy but was unhappy. Hopefully deuce can step up

The NYK could not have kept Hartenstein bc of the new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that limited how much the Knicks could have paid I Hart. Based on the rules of the CBA, it was literally impossibly for the Knicks to out-bid OKC. What some experts/insiders think is that the Knicks could have structured and signed a different/better deal with IHart when they initially got him years ago that possibly could have avoided losing him the way they did. I do agree that Julius and DiVo fit extremely well in 🟧🟦. These are 2 former ‘Cats who were dawgs at MSG who will be replaced KAT who is also a former ‘Cat and a former wolf. 😵💫

I'm gonna miss Donte'. When I first heard of the trade I heard that we got K.A.T. and I was like, ok. We need a big but he's a bit soft.. Then I heard what it cost... As much stuff is talked about Randle, he can go get his own bucket. He's a definite ball stopper though. But Donte'? I couldn't see that one coming. After I heard about his concerns and wanting more burn, I could see where he was coming from. Wish his much success, but not against the Knicks. Welcome to NY K.A.T.

He is a superstar though. 20-10 on 40% from three and can defend the paint at an elite level.
KAT's overall talent is insane... its the Soft Tissue Bits that's between the ears is the biggest question. If the ambition, desire to dominate and succeed is there, watch out. And he's able to be more durable than Mitch or Embid for that matter...
Mitchell is also hurting us by him always being hurt he's killing us with his injuries and I'm so sick of it it's not his fault but still we can't keep doing this with him anymore
I love Mitchell but he's gotta go what good are you if you're never on the court I don't care if you have Kobe or Jordan talent if you're always hurt you're no good to your team

Juju was going to opt out after this year and we risked getting nothing for him. Devo as much love as I have for him wasn’t going to have the same year coming from the bench. Rose got us here so we have to trust him. God bless
Great take on both sides man. I hate seeing Devo go but you’re absolutely right. No way he shoots like that again in a much different role. In terms of Randle, there’s just way too much uncertainty.

I agree that they made the right decision. In today’s league people forget that acquiring a star comes at a steep price. Realistically we didn’t know how Randle would’ve looked after he came back from injury and losing Divo hurts but now we have a center that can play decent defense and shoot at a high level. In my opinion that solves two problems this roster had in terms of versatility.
This team is officially on the same level as Boston. People also underestimate the fact that we have two defensive minded wings that can guard the two best players on any team in the league. This gives Brunson the opportunity to take possessions off on defense. Since Randle is gone I think Bridges will be able to assume a bigger role on offense with scoring and playmaking.
I was excited for the season prior to this trade but even more so now. I appreciate what Mitch brings to the table but if the injury bug continues we really might have to consider trading him so we’re ready when the playoffs come.

this trade & cutting m morris who I thought was a perfect for what this squad needs completely took the wind out of my sails, idk what it is but I just lost so much passion for these knicks, been a diehard since early 90's.. this teams seems now seems like its missing that Knicks grit we saw come back last yr... ill stay positive but idk, these last couple of moves arent sitting right.. all started w/the bridges trade which made Donte pissed, maybe thats the move that should have never happened.. we had such a good thing going, damn it.
Cutting Morris was terrible. Just terrible.
Morris is washed, we don’t know if Donte was pissed, we as Knicks fans have to stop assuming about what these players are feeling, we are betting on stability and more scoring power , what happened last year was a unique situation and can’t be redone, can’t wait to see whats to come

@@goattygoat9489 winning it all 1yr is not what being a true knick fan is about, its riding w/a blue collar team that gives it their all, the true underdog like last yrs squad that shocked the league.. you cannot put a price tag on true chemistry & that is what we had last yr. closest thing we had to resemble our 90's squad & we f'd it up.. again I think all of this was caused by the 1st domino being the Bridges trade, that changed everything, looking back I don't get that move at all, they got too desperate to win it all now, we have such a young core, why??... ehhh, this is a tough one to swallow.
