Easily the most unwarranted disrespect of any player in the league. He's a great scorer and without the injury he would have been on his way to another All-NBA team. Sims is not that guy. Ariel Hukporti has skills like both Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon. Precious doesn't have the skill set. From what I see, the best center to play is Hukporti. All you need to do is look up his highlights and see how he has both post moves, spin moves, and a fade-away jump shot.

Yeah, Achew is great at backing Randle. I can't believe they're going to rely on him for the C. That will place a hamper on him against huge aggressive skillful centers. I'm not the professional un the administration, but why not move one of those centers up from summer league? Some of them are talented and could do the job of rebounding, boxing out, and scoring when needed.

The problem isn't Sims. Advanced career stats say he'd average 9 points and 14 rebs and almost 2 blocks a game if he played 36 minutes, decent backup numbers! His 109.7 defensive rating was the best of all the Knick centers last year, too! Even protected the rim better than Mitch at 56% compared to Robinson's 61% (ihart was 53%)! The problem is Mitch's health and that's not the backup's fault. Sims should nearly replace ihart's stats (8/8) if he plays the same consistent 25 mins a game ihart did. BTW, ihart could not stop Embiid or Indiana, either, so so much for "starting subs"....that didn't and couldn't save us anyway. We'll still need a third center bc Mitch WILL get injured and we'll get someone, but till then or even if not, Sims will do: Dude had a +27 last season when he played 20 or more minutes a game. If Mitch, JR and/or OG (or someone else) go down before the PLO with a season-ending injury, then we are going down again no matter who's at the 5. Was injured going into the off season. The Knicks did absolutely nothing to address him being injured and his propensity to get injured. Relied too much on re-signing Hartenstein. The front office did not draft, sign via free agency or trade for a bonafide center. This is gonna haunt them all season! You can't ask an undersized back-up power (Precious) forward to play the 5. The front office gets a "D" minus for not addressing the center position.

I'm glad someone finally acknowledged that Mitch is better than Hartenstein. Mitch is a lot better than Hartenstein. There are things that Mitch can do with 2:00 on the clock that no one else in the league can do
