I like the contact detail where you can call or message that's cool. They seem to have made a lot of things more simple now instead of having to go all around the houses to find what you want. ❤x

You can already do that. Hold the space bar to activate cursor movement mode. Use another finger (similar to pinching to zoom) to highlight text. The 3D Touch enabled phones allow you to press the keyboard to activate cursor movement, press harder to highlight

Here is what I want to see in messages (or any app that uses the keyboard): 1. Swipe to delete a message from a thread. Currently we have to long press, press More, press trash can, confirm delete. That's very clunky for something I do all the time. I almost never need reply to a message earlier in the thread. At least let me configure whether I want swipe to mean reply or delete. 2. Change the capitalization of a word in a message. This used to be available (pre iOS 13/14?) by highlighting the word and pressing the up arrow to capitalize the first letter or double tapping the up arrow to uppercase the whole word. Not sure why it was taken out - I really liked it. 3. Put the cursor where I tap instead of at the end of the word. I often want to put the cursor after the first letter (so I can backspace and uppercase the first letter if I forgot to - see point #2). Right now it puts the cursor at the end of the word. I can long press (or press and drag) to put the cursor wherever I want, but at least let me configure what I want a press vs. a long press to do. I almost never want the cursor at the end of a word. 4.Give us a delete forward key in addition to a backspace key. Yes I'm a Windows person 🙂 5. I hope the new search feature will search the entire thread. I have some really long text threads and right now it seems like it doesn't search the older texts.
The problem Aaron is you cannot make edits to IMessages that are longish messages. If you have a long message then press and hold to bring up the menu, the message only scrolls to the end and you cannot edit. Any Ideas or is this video just pointing out things you discovered? I have to say, IMessage at this point and in this build is broken.
I like better the way the app bar stays in IMessages right now. With iOS 17, I need to press the + button to open the list and then select every time the app I need ?Am I correct ?
Do we still have to keep the screen on to keep listening to the audio messages? It’s so awkward that audio messages don’t continue playing in the background as in any other messaging app.

Hey Aaron, i need help clearing up the iPadOS 17.0 Storage and System data storage, they are taking more than half and the iPad i have right now is 32GB, and Beta 4 needs 15.57 GB of storage, i have already deleted almost all of my apps and still having this exact same problem.
Stickers 17 question- if you send to an iOS 16.x user, is it a different / limited experience? Or can you basically make your own sticker packs using iOS 17, which works between generations?
They see stickers just fine since stickers from apple and third party apps are already supported. Only diff here is you can now make you own and it's built in to the keyboard so you can take them from app to app
I know you are talking about the message app but I can’t figure out why I don’t see the text part of my voicemail n when someone leaves me a voicemail it don’t even get enough of the voicemail to who sent it n thank you for your content I really appreciate it ❤😊
Does anyone have an issue when you’re typing letters when texting or typing and the word completes itself on its own before you’re done typing it, so then it auto spaces and moves on to the next word but you’re still typing so all those extra letters get typed on the next space and now you have random letters typed after the word??? Annoying!!!
How about the feature of choosing a photo from photo gallery in a chat’s iMessage and long pressing it to show it in the chat? Is this feature rolled out too? I’m not sure you will understand it or not because I don’t know how to actually ask about this!!
So has anyone figured out how to move the plus to the right side in iMessage? Or Speaker phone to the right side vs the mute button? I can no longer hold my phone with 1 hand and press with my thumb as it was before. I have to use two hands now in my 13 pro plus. This truly is horrible. In message it was more convenient being across the top cause you could swipe left n right with thumb. It’s all two hands now. This is a step backwards…

I have an iPhone 14 Pro but I don’t like it because of battery and overheating issues and some bugs. Also, I have an iPhone 11 which has poor screen and battery life. I’m debating between: 1. Should I buy a refurbished or open box iPhone 13 Pro from eBay? 2. Or buy a brand new iPhone 13 regular after trading in the iPhone 11 regular and then use the 13 regular until the iPhone 15 Pro release and then also trade in the 14 Pro for a 15 Pro?

Is Apple going to address the organization issue ? As a business owner, I need more than just 9 pinned messages. I would appreciate the added feature of folders so I can put my future customers, current customers and installers in their own folders, and so on.
Hiding the apps behind a plain + is a poor way to communicate the new functionality. It should be an one time animated symbol of a plus. Bury it and it will go unused. 🤷🏼♂️ 11:10

The whole audio change is a step backwards…have to hit plus then audio🙄 Adding extra steps to accomplish the same thing is not an improvement
That "plus menu" doesn't fit at all with the GUI. They also made it 2 taps to send a picture, which is really annoying. 😅😅😅

Hold + and it jumps you directly into pictures. If you do that on “space” you get a touchpad

When you click to add photo to text IT just Doesn't work like it should , you have to keep clicking on photos then eventually it opens up
