So when u set up the declutter will it only delete upcoming notifications..will u have to delete the ones already on the phone ? Bc I still have mine on the phone 😅
and one extra feature of messages is that you cannot have custom text tones. If you had them assigned to a contact, they remain. But you can’t access them for a new contact or change them on an existing contact to the custom ones that are on your phone. I hope this is a bug as opposed to what Apple might consider a feature or money making venture. Else.,It’s back to Android

Question that’s similar to that feature - how do I let all devices know to delete a text message that I’ve deleted? I have all of my devices connected on the iCloud - they all know about incoming message activity, however they don’t know that I’ve deleted a message from one of the other devices. Leaving me having to delete the same message from all of my devices. UGH, so frustrating and wasteful time for time management.
In Settings, Apple ID, iCloud, tap "Show All" under Apple Using iCloud. Then make sure for Messages that iCloud Sync is on. Check for all of your devices.
Love your videos! Pertaining to Messages and stickers: these were nice and informative pieces! However I noticed maybe a bug? If you haven’t yet created any of your own stickers you will not get the + button, instead having to involve more steps and go to Photos to start. It’s not that big a deal though. It just would be nice to do so without leaving Messages.

On my iPhone SE and iPad 9th Gen Versions 17.3 and 17.4 respectively the Delete after use in Passwords does not work. Neither does my system, also an iMac 12.7 does not delete messages on all devices. Do you have a fix for this? Love your channel. Recommend it to my clients who are on Apple products. Thank you!

Yes but you still can’t send mms attachments adding it directly using the + button. I shouldn’t have to use third party apps to send mms attachments other than pictures or videos.
When I hit the + and select location, it says “location is off” and to go to settings. What do I need to turn on? Location services is selected green. Thx.

Not reporting on the disabling of sound notifications for received texts. A huge problem. Its not settings, its a glitch in the update to ios 17. The only solution offered is a full factory reset, with subsequent loss of everything.
Anyone know how to remove the audio messages feature to the right of the text bar above the keyboard? I have already disable dictation at Settings / General / Keyboard. I find myself tapping the icon accidentally.
Satellite mode? Like with no mobile or Wi-Fi connection? I thought that was for emergencies only? If you are having trouble with that I'd contact Apple Support.

Photos, so with the previous version when you go to edit a photo/picture, you press ➕, that would give you the option “Add Text”, “Add Signature”, “Description” and “Magnifier”. With iOS17 they removed “Magnifier”, and put in “Add Sticker” and “Add Shape”. Looked everywhere but nothing. Not sure why Apple would eliminate it 👎🏽
No way for me to know what could be wrong in your case. Could be a bad address or phone number, could be a problem with the person's devices or account on the other end. Could be they just are out of range of any connection or their device(s) are off.
You didn’t include the new (P)primary & (B) business line. Which isn’t allowing me to test certain people who are for some reason under business line and I have it turned off
Can you make a video on iOS 17 NameDrop? I would like to know how to have a public contact to share through NameDrop, and a Private contact to not share with Name Drop. That way my REAL contact card is not shared when I do a NameDrop. I just want to NameDrop my name, phone, email, and address, not all the other stuff in my personal Contact Card! Thank you for all you do!
I think you would just create more copies of your own contact, each with exactly what you want to share. Then just share that contact from the Contacts app.
Great and clear video, what about group text, I have a mix of Android contacts in a group message, if I need to add another person or delete someone from the list, I have to start all over with a new group message. I hope Apple addressed this long standing issue.
@@macmost I think Apple wants Android users to buy an iPhone. Lol, but seriously, it even affects sending a video to an android will get truncated, and the quality will go really bad on the other hand. The same video goes through to an iPhone user with perfect quality..
@@007Yasir Yes, but Apple can't fix that. That's controlled by the mobile phone companies. There are limits on SMS and MMS set by them and the tech behind that.

How do you easily access your Wallet in your Watch under 10? I can ask Siri or add the Wallet widget, but the double tapping of the button no longer works. It would be nice if they would add wallet as a function to the Ultra’s action button.

Could be: Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, Messages.

Not sure what you mean. There is a button on the keyboard to turn on dictation to use instead of typing. But it doesn't automatically send.

They didn't really change much. Pets in the People albums and the ability to edit Memories. A few other small things.

I have the latest 17.0.2 on my new iPhone 15 but no sign either of Check In or adding in Stickers. Is it cause I'se Canadian eh?
Could be. For Check In it says "isn’t available in all countries or regions." Stickers should be there though.

There are MMS improvements, so maybe they did. Try it and see.

In Messages Filters there is no check mark after tapping a particular filter. Is a tap all it needs to use that filter?
