I know no one will see this, but knowing that she has the same opinion as me when it comes to the right to death is kind of liberating considering how much I respect her. I've been suffering and still suffering from many chronic illnesses all my life and have not wanted to be alive for most of it. I find it especially cruel that I live in a world that wont let me pass away with my dignity and humanity intact, content in letting me deteriorate away with no chance of a good and happy life due to my illnesses. I find it so condescending when healthy people tell me what I should think about being alive and that I should happy that I'm alive. I never asked to be born, nor did I ever ask to have my illnesses, and I find that people who have this opinion of "you're alive and that's all that matters" are just people who don't know what its like to truly and perpetually suffer. Maybe one day I will be free from this hell and its shackles, but its nice knowing that one of the people I look up to so much understands my plight. In the end, I need all the comfort I can get.
