    Panantukan is a fake name that Dan Inosanto made up for FilAm people who trained with him in order to make it sound exotic and cool and also so the word Suntukan would not be mistake for Shotokan which is popular and more popular back then. It is not a bad thing, but it is more a Filipino American martial arts thing. And for foreigners to use for terminology. The Kalistas and Esrikidors in Philippines I know of do not use Panantukan. I forgot what the Panan word is based off of. I have to go research it again.
    No Filipino uses the word Panantukan in the Philippines and it makes no sense to them. They use Suntukan and that just means fist fighting like normal fighting.

      Panan from the Tagalog word Panantunan or Panuntunan in English is Principle. Then Tukan from the Tagalog word Suntukan means Fist Fighting. I think you are not Tagalog if you can't easily get that..

    • @joedstaaa
      @joedstaaa 5 лет назад +6

      Panantukan or panuntukan, we use this word in Batangas, specifically in simlong Batangas city. Like for example "si James at Bob ay nag panuntukan" , " James and Bob had a fist fight " something like that. So yeah it's a word HAHAHA

      @@joedstaaa diba Tagalog din ang mga batangueño? Kaso may punto lang sila sa pananalita at may mga word sila na specific lang sa Batangas. May batangueño akong kaibigan eh, naalala ko lang yung tinuturuan niya ako makipagusap sa mga batangueño. Sabi sakin, sabihin ko daw sa kausap ko yung Panumbe. Nakalimutan ko ibig sabihin eh, pero parang away ata yon o suntukan.. Tama ba?
