But brother i want to introduce its most lovely thing for me the ENGINE its heart.
Under the hood lies

470 NM of TORQUE 🌪
ALMOST 200 HORSES 🐎 .
No car had come across INDIA at this price tag which gets this much BADASS ENGINE INLINE 5, also if i am wrong no worries please anyone can correct me.
One same type of engine also was used in LandRover Defender and Discovery older generations.
2.5 TD5 was the name.
It was also a very legendary engine which is still a very famous in Many countries like Turkey, European countries and Whole UK.

Still one of the most sought after SUVs in terms of road presence and snob value.
The Endeavour was first launched in India in 2001 and retailed at 11Lakh rupees and sat above the Ikon and below the Mondeo in Ford India’s lineup. It was powered by a modern 2.5L Diesel engine and had a long shelf life till 2014 with many updates and an option of 3.0L BS4 Diesel. An interesting thing to note is the fact that this generation of Endeavour was co-engineered with Mazda and used the platform of a pick-up truck!
However this generation (2014-2021) was completely engineered and designed by Ford and when launched gave sleepless nights to its rivals like old Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Trailblazer. Even when Toyota launched the brand new Fortuner with a powerful 2.8L Diesel the Endys 3.2L was still superior in terms of refinement and sheer power, also in terms of tech it was loaded to the gills and had tech like Active noise cancellation(similar to erstwhile Honda Accord). Endeavour was powered by 3.2L and 2.2L Diesel engines but obviously the former was the de facto choice owing to the heavy weight of Endy. It received a heart transplant in 2020 and Ford replaced the 2.2 and 3.2 engines with a single 2.0L BS6 Diesel and 10speed Auto transmission, even though the new transmission was far better than the old 6speed unit(which was also prone to failure) but Ford gave us only the single scroll turbo with 172BHP which just could not match the grunt of 3.2L. Ford did offer a twin scroll turbo version in Australia with 200+BHP and there were rumours of Ford launching it in India but sadly it never realised. Since Ford has left India and Endeavour discontinued Fortuner has lost one of its worthy competitor which has caused Toyota to command a monopoly on the Fortuner and price it arbitrarily. However an all new generation has been launched and Ford says it may come to India as a CBU and priced ~70Lakhs not bad if Fortuner nowadays costs 60lakhs on road Mumbai!
PS- You asked about placement of speakers in Endy. In total there are 10speakers which includes 4speaker&4tweeters on each door, 1centre speaker on dashboard and 1subwoofer in the boot. Thank you!

The electric alternator is also on top so that it do not get short circuit while The car is driving in high water

Ford endeavour is one of those cars which we are really missing none of them was rugged as the endeavour and this was literally a true off reader and that 3.2 L Diesel pulls so strong 💪

The Grab handle on A-Pillar at driver side is for ingress & egress. Since the ground clearance is on higher side, the grab handle helps in easy ingress & egress.

The driver side A-Pillar grab handle is provided as a support for the driver to climb in, since this is a proper SUV.

Whe he sell after 3-4 years it will be max 3-4 lakhs.
BUT YES THIS WAS BEST SUV. Fortuner was 1 grade below this.
27:00 I think this would be sorted in the 10 speed automatic. It would have quicker gearshifts and would always keep the car in it's powerband.

Paaji If you get a Chance Do Review the Ford Fusion 1.6 Petrol. My Relatives have one. I think that Car has Some Similarities with Polo like an Well Built Interior which Never Rattles, Good Build Quality, And a High Redlining Nature. And after 15 years the Paint Still seems to be In Good condition.
4:16 sir it is 5 cylinder not 4 ! Being a die-hard fan of ford endeavour i m writing this. Thought i dont have money to buy it pre-owned ! But i drove it n no. Of times ! It was a legendary vehicle which unfortunately is no more there. Fortuner kch nhi hai iske samne 🙏🏻
Tata should have bought these Ford diesel engines which are more refined reliable this move could have made tata unmatchable with perfect build and quality engines

The endeavour used to come with noise cancellation feature using the speakers. It was later removed in around late-2019(i guess) models. The real OG car🔥❤️

I'm a Toyota, Ford and chevy fan but i will complete expect to your facts that endeavor is undoubtedly better than Toyota fortuner.
The reason is Ford has no place or market in it's own country since Toyota took over Usa top sales from the 90's by giving better cars and value when Ford almost went bankrupt and was selling cheap and Avg products. Toyota took over and broke the market with trucks and Suv's like the Highlander, Sequoia, 4-Runner, Tundra over Ford's . Ford's suffered from reliability issues and still is struggling in it's USA spec cars like the Explorer, Focus, Edge, bronco and such cars but the same cars available In UK and australia is reliable because of the quality control, American Ford's are made in Mexico where quality control is pathetic and the sole reason for their problems.Thats the main reason why Ford focused and gives excellent quality cars for few market except USA but Toyota gives in selected countries and their main market is definitely USA so they focus more over there.
Take example of Indian made Ford's they were God level in it's segment even though they were basic cars with basic engines.
I will not say that Ford endeavors engines are more reliable and dependable than Toyota's D-4D 2.8 diesel with 500 nm torque. Ford's have head gasket issue and few minor ones which will be a problem in the long term and I guess this is the reason fortuner sells more and due to the fanbase.
Talking about the overall build win for both but Ford has slightly more heavier and thicker sheet metal which might outperform the fortuner's build quality.
Overall Endy is the right pick for few and for few its the fortuner. I would definitely go with the endy ❤
Cabin insulation and refinements are better on the Endy and the 6 speed TC is avg in performance but smooth drive so is the 10 speed Auto. Fortuner's 6 speed AISIN TC is a far better gearbox but quite noisy. I wish Ford had the 10 speed Auto which was made in collab with General motors for the mustang and the camaro.
Wish to see Ford, Fiat, Chevrolet to come back and give great cars again 🙏

Toyota knows the biggest customer base of Fortuner in India are law makers and business men. They seldom spend 50 lakhs in their own money to buy such expensive cars if you know what I say. So they thought why not make it as expensive as we can and make as much profit as we can.

Here are my concerns, Ford has left India and even though they are claiming they will support for a few more years it's a gamble getting a Ford. I have had experiences in the past when Ford was still here and I still had to wait for like a month to get some critical spares and now with them being gone we can only guess how that will play out.
Second, the mad push by the government to kill off all the Diesels in the name of environment. They are going to bring in much stringent measures to make life hell for diesel lovers, NCR is a good example. So in the end they want us to be like submissive obedient dogs driving electrics. Breaks my heart 💔
