Played warrior to level 47 rogue to 30 and trying to make a mage so far the combat looks better then both rogue and warrior so I'm Def excited to make one. Just wondering what faction you recommend?
The unique weapon Coral Tip with this build is great. Apply frozen when detonating Arcane Bomb. Enemies get frozen before they reach you and the fire and electric spell blade is ridiculously great with that.
@Mortiferu I have the earlier comment I was asking the same thing. But I made my decision and hear me out. I went lords of fortune the stagger is crazy
2:53 okay this part needs to be fixed cause "moving on down" like we know the path to follow on your build is crazy. I had to pause server times just to knw how you got there. Energy burst>Bulwark>Imbued Reaction>underestimated> Then pressure point.
Not using Tempest duration spell is trolling. Will set arcane bombs on everything in a huge area each hit, knocks down almost everything in the game. Crits on those knocked down targets which give massive mana regen with the ability crit amulet, giving you 100% uptime on tempest forever + mana to spare for some void blades. You never have to use the light attacks at all since tempest will stack arcane bombs so fast that all you do is heavy attack spam to detonate them. Then spec into all the duration and strike upgrades, since tempest is both of those. All the lightning damage and fire damage nodes + max stack dot since you'll have both fire and lightning. Any spellblade build that needs you to use light attacks will never be Maximum damage.
@@hunterlavish Attacking at all is a waste of time on mage, run Maw of the Black City (Ring that gives you crit on all abilities), the amulet he is talking about is Crow's Perch and it is pretty solid. My recommendation is to run Garb of Kinship, which gives +10% damage on advantage, get channeled thoughts which gives you +50 mana per second. Take Tempest, meteor and either void blade or arcane shot. During battle just spam between Void Blade and Meteor (once one of them finishes casting, the other one should be off cooldown). You will start taking a lot of self-damage until you get the Garb of Kinship healing portion, but it won't matter since it can't kill you and casting abilities gives you basically permanent i-frames. Once you run out of mana, trigger invulnerability somehow and regen all your mana for about 5 seconds, then rinse and repeat. It has some of the highest consistent damage of all the builds I've run.
@@zikli9249 You don't need the maw ring, the talent that makes you crit on knocked down targets makes tempest crit anyways since it knocks down pretty much everything, this gives you massive mana regen with Crow's Perch anyways. For absolute degenerate overpowerness use the staff that makes spells cost hp, sold by the undead guys. Then use the dagger that heals you on detonating arcane bombs, upgrade also sold by undead guys, you need it at rank 3 or 4. With those two mana is competely solved, can spam spells forever. And the dagger downside at rank 4, making detonations cost 50 mana becomes meaningless since even at 0 mana they still detonate and all your spells cost hp anyways. And unlike the maw ring the cost on the spells is like at most
@@knasbollolo I find that stopping to detonate arcane bombs tend to lower my dps... but I completely forgot that staff... That is a good idea. I still think maw is good because you can't knock down bosses. As for HP regen, The Kin Garb that I mentioned gives 5% HP on advantage gain and I get a lot of advantages so it actually keeps me up to full. If you want to be defensive (the +10% damage per advantage is so much) you can run the researchers garb which has a life drain of 5%, 15% on bleeding enemies and you can enchant with bleed on crit for rings. At 2000 damage minimum per spell (assuming resisted) you heal for 300 HP every spell cast per enemy hit. For dagger I like Enchanted Athame better, +50 mana and abilities deal double damage. But yeah I'm going to try the staff. EDIT: It would work better with the Glacial Talus too which increases damage with current mana.
