'That is a lie': Donald Trump's lawyer slams Michael Cohen in hush money trial

- Donald Trump's lawyer has accused star witness Michael Cohen of lying about a 2016 phone call discussing a $US130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Cohen, once Trump's trusted personal lawyer, claimed he talked to Trump about silencing Stormy Daniels, who alleges a 2006 sexual encounter with Trump.
Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's lawyer, said to Cohen, "That is a lie. You can admit it!" Cohen responded, "No, sir I can't, because I am not certain that is accurate".
The exchange came after hours of questioning by Blanche, aiming to paint Cohen as a vindictive ex-ally wanting to see Trump imprisoned.
Cohen testified he paid Daniels and Trump reimbursed him, falsely recording the reimbursements as legal expenses.
Trump is charged with falsifying business records to cover up the payments.
Trump has pleaded not guilty, denied the affair, and labelled the prosecution a politically motivated attack on his campaign.
"This trial is a scam, and it's a sham, and it shouldn't happen. Thank you very much," he said on Thursday.

If you admittedly can't be sure now, then previous testimony claiming it happened means you have committed perjury.

That lawyer of Trump’s looks just as grumpy as Trump…if either smiled you’d hear their faces cracking in court…I do however pity Trump’s lawyer having to sit with Count Flatulor beside him all day.
