At 2:40 that is quite possibly one of the coolest animations I have seen yet - the split shuttle. Awesome work and thank you yet again for such an incredible video!
I'm glad to see how the body movement looks exactly the same in both cases including the footwork. This can only be attain by national and top pros players.
The combined shot at 2:40 is amazing, not only does it show the shuttle landing speed, it also helps me imagine the area I should pay attention to defense. Awesome work!
Couldn’t have come at a better time, was just playing singles yesterday thinking about how I can return my opponent’s shots. Very excited for the singles tactics video 🏸. Amazing video, great editing and very slick with the transitions.
Thank you, Greg & Jenny for creating this content! Although I usually play doubles, it's definitely good to learn proper skills for the singles game. It actually took me awhile to figure that my position when I serve in singles is too close to the net (which is not a problem when you're playing doubles).
I've watched you guys since I was a little child as a newbie and now I'm entering high-school and I can clearly see myself improving with your guys tips and trick and I would like to thank you guys sincerely with every bit of my heart. Lots of love, one of your fans. (your videos are really cool btw).
oh my this is perfect exactly what i needed, my reactions are really quick but always wondered why i cant always return those drop shots, i looked at Victor playing and just assumed he was way to quick without seeing where he positioned his racket this makes so much sense cant wait to try this now. thank you once again fur such a insightful video
Good red line throughout the video. - 2 Tips that Can be added: (also things being in badminton Denmarks guide) - 1. in your split step, TRY! to make your feet land broader than your shoulders in with, or at least as broad. 2. Racket arm must be "free" from body, depending on the situation on the side, infront or inbetween (as you mentioned). Once again great video. Hopefully i'll see you at the world cup in copenhagen! - Cheers!
I just lost against one guy in a league within my academy and it was because i was scared and not able to defend against his powerful smashes.i have a match two weeks after now with him, this helps a lot. Thank you
Aaah finally! There's not much stuff out there on smash defence in singles. You've covered all my questions, thanks guys! Great video, hoping for more singles videos 🏸
I've been following your channel for a while now and i absolutely love your style of videos, they've helped me a lot. I've got a tournament coming up so I'm watching all your videos to catch up again. Keep up the fantastic content and hope the wedding preparations are going well Greg and Jenny!
Thanks so much for this video. I played from 7 - 12 and then resumed at over 50. But still love to play singles! Often I feel hypnotized at good drops by opponents. And I barely moved and the shuttle is in the ground! However at other times I move quite well. I always thought I am doing split step a tad late or not doing at all. Now I know I was indeed late in doing the split step. I guess it is better to do split step earlier than recommended than not do at all! Thanks for your contribution to the world badminton community!
Thank you so much your videos help me a lot to improve my game , even the shots my coach has didn't taught me properly, i have learned it from all ur videos, keep making videos ur doing a great job u helped me improve my game so much thank you again, lots of love from India 😊
this is a very insightful video with awesome visual aid. the cross-court vs straight smash comparison - that's some brilliant editing-oriented thinking! thanks guys and keep it up!
Great quality video again, as expected from you two. Also, I noticed that Greg looks identical to Mat Watson from carwow, and you're both from the UK as well hahahah
Thank you so much guys i have States in 1 week and i have been trying to get my defence up! This really helped me out on my mistakes. Thank you guys so much ❤
Thank you so much for these videos! Do you have a video for couples on how to play badminton and not argue when we're back home? It's so easy to blame each other during the game and get upset about the loss that it is affecting live outside badminton. Would be really helpful 🙏
A tip is, do your exercises at home. For example do running on your own at a low speed for over 30mins without rest.(depend with our ability) Always try not to stop as much as possible. Don't run fast which will make you tired so quickly and discourage you to run anymore. This made my focus into the game more better. I think we better do running 2 times per week mins or 3 times max!🤭🤭
I Have this One badminton coach who just wont let anyone smash nor win he purposfully makes you go to the right side and then when your completely there he smashed on the left this maneuver was never noticed but now today at sports week i demolished him thank you so much
hey guys thank you so much for this that's exactly what we need, and we hope in next videos you guys will cover badminton singles all shorts, services and tictacs
It's a nice video giving some new insight into singles defence. I can defend well but im always confused if i should try to lift the shuttle straight or Crosscourt to the net or midcourt.

Guys after watching your “attacking tips video” i learnt the point to “mix up your attack” But then in your other videos, u advice us to not hit clears but rather smashes and drops. My question is , do we only play smashed and drops in badminton’s doubles and only hit clears when off balance or do we mix it up all the time with clears
