Joey Burns seems like just the nicest person, on top of being a fantastic musician and singer. What a fantastic set.
Memorandom, he totally is! I was at one of their shows where the woman next to me knew Joey from years ago. After the show he came over to say hi to her but also spoke to anyone else staying behind and signed cds etc., posed for photos too.
They are an awesome duo

his voice is great. I know these guys are hugely respected, but they should be even more massive imo
This is great. I've always admired Calexico, though they aren't my most favoured musical style, but the between song chatter here is just terrifically compelling/endearing. Another winner from KEXP.
Great trio performance! If you are into the Tucson scene, please check also the Orkesta Mendoza, the band formed by Calexico keyboard player, Sergio Mendoza. They are awesome!
