Vinfast cars did not sell as expected in the us and Canada. vinfast cars lose money every year, I don't understand why Vietnamese people dance to celebrate?
I know, right? So laggy, so disconnected from the road, feels like you have to ask it nicely for accelleration and wait around whilst it catches up. So noisy, sounds like a continuous fart, so smelly, and oh my the cost of gas, and the indignity of standing around in a gas station for ages. 😱
Alexa is sometimes a liiiiiittle laggy (may depend on 3G/3G coverage?) but a lot of fun. You probably need to set her up with an amazon account first though. Great for navigation, windows, sunroof, AC, music/entertainment, or just resolving arguments with your passengers. 😄

Italian Pininfarina design - it's lovely. Had my sparkly "deep ocean" green vf8 for over a year now, love it, especially the glorious HUD, ADAS - my copilot! AWD, and the effortless torque when I floor it. 😍
Based on the RUclips video from Out of Spec Reviews called "We've Had Our VinFast VF8 For 6 Months!," Francie said to fix the parking brake issue, you have to get out of the car lock it, wait a little, and then reopen it. Also, if you push too many buttons at one time and the computer freezes, you can do a hard reset by holding the on/off button in the center. Overall, it was a great review. I'm seriously considering this car over a Tesla Model Y Performance because it has more bang for the buck. HUD, sliding roof shade or hard top, all the features included, physical buttons, nice interior, and great lease deals.
Really enjoying the VF8, but the turning raduis is horrible for a vehicle this size. Not a deal killer, but the driver better be aware.. The parking brake is automatic in park. And doesn't realease automatically in drive unless the seatbelt is worn. Lots of "reviewers" mistakenly thinking it's a bug. It's by design..

Would be interested in knowing on average how much it cost a month for electricity and on average how far would you go ? With a ten year warranty you don’t really have to worry about repairs and after 10 years people want a new car anyways . In Vietnam they are all over the road these Vinfast cars but most are actually owned by the Vinfast ride sharing app . I use them all the time in Saigon and they are pretty luxurious for a taxi and rides are cheap . They Don’t seem to have enough chargers so the poor drivers have to wait some times hours to get a charger. These VF8 and VF9 are not bad starts considering they never made a EV before. The Chinese EV cars are starting to come to Vietnam and it will be hard to compete with the BYD and Zeekers those cars are really premium and affordable. Actually the smaller Vinfast VF7 Vf6 and VF3 are more attractive especially the VF7 I can see it being a big seller if the price is right . The VF3 is a micro car and are selling like hot cakes in Vietnam they have distinctive styling and can actually carry 4 people even though they look so small . Prices for these VF8 in Vietnam are basically the same as what you paid in Canada The VF3 sell for $20,000 CND not sure if you get a tax rebate but the VF3 could be the perfect city car to get around cheaply and would beat riding the bus .
Yeah, but then you’re giving your hard earned money to Elon. Which can be billions of negative value points depending on your perspective. A major factor to consider.

Vinfast is a very good EV car. Xe rất đẹp, exterior and interior design are better than Tesla. I took a test drive 2 weeks ago. I like it. I am gonna take one soon. Lái ngon hơn Tesla. Look more luxury than Tesla inside. And 10 year guarantee 120k miles.
A whistleblower stated the suspension was so flimsily designed (and knowingly so) that a bump at speed could cause it to collapse, causing the wheels fly off propelling the occupants into barriers, trees etc. This was a known flaw before the car was even manufactured but the boss didn't want to alter the design because it would cost too much. And now people are dying. This car is lethal and should be banned from sale.
I mean they only have 1 year of history. And that was their first year in market. Lots more to come I’d assume. Their improvement in 1 year has been great.

I love my VF8 plus , can't complain. The only thing I have noticed is that after driving it i have trouble driving the regular cars.

Try some voice commands with Alexa to open and close windows, sunroof, Ac and many more. You are going to like it.
