Always remember this scene as a kid when the older Pirate started to take off his shirt and saw the beautiful muscularity of Steve Reeves and stopped taking his shirt off. 😅
Ugh, a meeting between those two would certainly have not ended well, while Morgan conducted himself with level-headedness and professionalism, L' Olonnais was full of twisted psychotic rage and hatred and thrived on acts of horrifying barbaric cruelty even against his own crew. I do believe, however, Morgan could've easily sent the dastardly French buccaneer to 'ol Davy Jones since he wasn't just a seaman but also a brilliant tactician and would be wise to L' Olonais' tricks and could easily outsmart him in pitched combat.
@@romeoromero9612 Appreciated. Given how L'Olonnais behaved, his was way more of that of a cold-blooded pirate than a noble privateer, I don't deny that Morgan could also be ruthless but at least he didn't stoop to L'Ollonais' level of brutality. Morgan's services allowed him to live out his remaining days in majestic splendor whereas L'Ollonais the monster met his horrific end by going into the wrong territory. Himself being killed, mutilated and burned by cannibals.
This is my favorite moment in a Steve Reeves movie: he takes off his shirt, after which his opponent man leaves his on. (Not so much Reeves' chest, but the look on the faces of those on his side.)
I think that Steve and Elvis were the most handsome men of all time. Its a shame though that they always made Steve lose weight for his films. He would of looked even more imposing at his full Bodybuilding weight.
James Bond, I doubt it. He like a young Brook Shields only had the looks. His voice was always dub. No real acting chops. He was ok for his B-movies in Italy.
No need to have dubbed his voice. He had a good baritone voice himself. He was a modestly gifted actor, like Connery, Moore and most of the others who played Bond.
Qué mujeres tan hermosas salían en esos filmes. Steve era un excelente espadachín, qué peligrosas son esas escenas aunque las espadas no tuvieran filo.

I saw it in 1962 for the first time and have liked it ever since.
He had the most perfect body and looks. It was Italy that made
him a star........
