  • UPDATE!! • Video ... check out a much better video of this layout which now includes LED lights!!
    The layout is 4' x 7' with lots of elevation change. Special thanks to Ken Grimm in
    Baltimore for making many of the highly detailed rocks.

    Such an inspiration. For someone just starting on an N scale model, this is a wonderful guide to show how to do things right. I love the extensive treeline, and the subtle variations in colour shading throughout. Beautiful! :)

    It has inspired me that elevated track creates the impression that the layout is a lot bigger than it is and the scenery is masterfully achieved. Very nice!

      @tony791999  4 года назад +2

      thanks! that was the idea... also when it's on the outside lower loop, it's like the train is "out in the country" away from the town and then it makes it's way back up and through the town :)

    My grandparents bought a house that backed up to a Santa Fe line. When I visited, I’d watch the trains as they went by. Trains of all sizes bring back happy memories. Well done!

      My dream is to live close to a train. Not close to a station... I think that would be too much activity haha. But to be able to at least see one from my house would be awesome.

    Wondrous! Instead of multiple separate loops--either with or without points of conjoinment via switches--you laid the track as one continuous stacked loop, with visual suggestion of a reversing loop. Brilliant!🙌

    Absolutely beautiful layout. I have been searching RUclips for something I can do in o gauge I think I found it. It is said imitation of something is the sincerest form of flattery. Please feel flattered for I would like to use your track design or a reasonable facsimile there of that will fit in my new garage space of 10 x20 I just need to watch you video another 4 or 5 or 10 or 12 time to figure out the lay of the rails, my problem is I just want to get lost in the scenery each time I watch it. Thank you for your nice comment!! I have had several people replicate the track design. I'm sorry I dont have any track plans I could give you... but here is a link to an album that has 2 good "under construction" pics where you can see the track plan without all the hills. s22.photobucket.com/user/tony41z71/library/model%20train?sort=3&page=1

    I have just become a fan of your layout. I think your track plan is fabulous. I am a hi rail O gauge modeler. I just have to try this out myself. Great inspiration. Thank you

      +Doug Broadhurst Thank you very much I appreciate it! I would LOVE to have the space to do O gauge someday. I viewed your layout video and it is spectacular. I really like all the people and lighted structures, that is my next step to do lights in the buildings. Thank you for the inspiration of your layout!

      Thank you so much!! I don't have a formal track plan. Just kind of drew up some sketches of the layout and then went to work :)

    That's one VERY nice layout. I wish I could have seen the train running a lap or two before the mountains were built. Anyway, it's very inspirational. I would like to build a Christmas layout in 4 or 5 small sections that can be stored in the attic. I have no place to put a layout all year round. I would use pins to line up the modules and some type of plug to connect the electrics.
    Again, Awesome layout. Please video any updates you do to it. Thanks.

      Hey dude that's totally do-able. Modular guys hook many pieces together you just use a 6" connector piece. Good luck!!

      @Will Phelps head over to T-TRAK.org and you will find yourself a very good modular system that can use as little as six small modules to go wound a Christmas Tree. Also, you should check out the Wiki at ttrak.wikidot.com/
      Good luck with your dream, hope it comes through for you.
