Great points as always. I’m sure you will be cancelled. Cant we have both the wnba mode that they have that can remain true to the wnba playstyle and also female skins for myplayers. The female gamers in the mycareer side seem tired of cosplaying as dudes. I personally wouldn’t use a female skin but i totally feel where they are coming from. MyTeam would be fun for sure. They already gave us bad bunny why not toss a CC with patty base
Haha, I'd MUCH rather use CC than Bad freaking Bunny. I think logistically we can have both, but ideologically the skins idea undermines the "faithful to the game" idea. I also think the Lizzid people look at the money that the cosplaying female MyCareer players are using and judging that adding resources wouldn't add revenue because they're playing already. It might if they had a robust cosmetics shop to pair with the character models. It wouldn't surprise me if that was the hold up. "They get female players when we have the shop/animations ready."

This actually brings up an issue I’ve had with 2K for years. Height should not run the game the way it has. 2k24 is, as you say, not as bad as previous years, but it still is an issue. There are so many players in the real NBA who thrive below the rim from great role players to unanimous MVPs. There are players like Zach Edey whose size can even be considered a detriment at points, but in 2K there is hardly ever any downside to just being taller and dunks are always better than layups. Thats really the only issue. Make it so height wasn’t completely broken. If you make the penalities for being taller more strict then an A’ja Wilson build is viable. Myteam is always gonna be a cartoon by April, but MyCareer should be more strict.

My take on the MyTeam side of things is to just give them their own MyTeam mode *just* for the W and don't do any of the over the top stuff in it. Make higher rated players like Clark the most ideal versions of themselves, but keep them short of being superhuman like most cards above PD get in MyTeam. Restrict badges and keep sigs true to the player. If they continue to refuse to do that on the NBA side of MyTeam, there should be a place to get away from that while still being able to put together a roster with that fantasy ethos, and the WNBA with its now-growing popularity seems like the *perfect* place for that. I'd completely abandon the NBA MyTeam for it 🤣
They should just allow the female skin on a male character. The WNBA modes do need major improvements, but it's foolish to think that I can't use a female player for online modes. Is it cosmetic, yes. But then again, there is no good way to represent any female player in any male sport because men have a biological athletic advantage.
I started as a comp 2k player now I’m a sim head, I love playing mygm & rebuild teams so if the wnba was more fleshed out I would definitely play it more.

Wonder if the WNBA & NBA MyCareer players’ overalls will mean different things based on the increased strength/agility of men. You’re right, men’s bodies are different than women’s which makes the game different between women and men. NBA Live did it but I believe they are just skins.

literally just make the "female player" an option when youre customizing your player, just like you'd choose between heights, skin color, handedness, weight etc. it shouldnt be its entire own creator, let me just make a 7 footer and change the face and body type to a female. its not that difficult. thats basically what myteam has been the last few years, the same 99 overall players with the exact same animations slapped with a different skin.

There is a significant number of Caitlin Clark fans. The W still isn't popular and is still burning money. (As of now) MLB the show did something similar where you can play career mode with a woman.(That's a single player experience tho)
If they don't change the builder for women and men characters I'm expecting some crazy 7ft and high dunking wnba builds 😂 gonna be a wild time
