Epic! Way to follow through, all the way to the end.🤣
Why don't you just switch out that 15a breaker and outlets to a 20a? You shouldn't have to pull new wire if the ROMEX is in good shape.
And Kim, try lining a wide-mouth, quart jar with your zip/Hefty bag so it stands up while you scrape the bowl into the bag. Also, the bags probably tell you the liquid capacity on the box.
I guess I dont see how making a 20-hour freeze-dry process a 2-day process by freezing separately first is a time saver. Maybe it's more of an issue of the capacity of your freeze dryer vs. your demand for its use.
The wire isn’t a heavy enough gauge.

I’m in Navarre, Florida a few miles from beach. Do you know how deep the water table would be here to make a shallow well water pump?
I’m hollerin!! Why are husband’s so annoying yet hilarious at the same time?!?!? We love them!
Y’all are like my husband and I. Keep up the great work. Freeze dried water is brilliant! 💀💀
Ikr they’re adorbs being nervous for the camera with eachother it’s a bonding experience
Dollar Store sells small pans. I have 2 sizes, freeze my liquids in those, then combine them to fit the medium sized tray. That way I go through less ziploc/hefty bags, but accomplish the same thing. I usually do 1 lb in the smaller pan, and 1.5 lb in the larger, that way each tray gets 2.5 lb, and the whole freezer gets 10 lb. Just use a little wutter in the sink to dip the pan bottom in and the food will release easily from the pan after that.
I'm a single great grandma and my freeze dryer runs at least five days a week. I love it!!! I could easily keep two FD going. I will make huge dinners for the purpose of FD meals. Currently I have medicinal weeds in it.
dang, you really are a great grandmother!
You are awesome! Would you be my honorary Grandma?
Please?
Which brand of freeze dryer do you recommend?
Freeze dried water... Who'd of thunk it! 😂
It's revolutionary!
Just remember to not freeze dry all your water, or u will not be able to rehydrate your freeze-dried water. 😂
Laughed my socks off 🤣😅🎉
It is scary what will be left behind when you freeze dry tap & filtered water! 🤯😢
@@j.l.dawson1290 He should have put a brown spice on the tray to make it look like a byproduct.
I feel so fortunate, because where I live (Sonoran Desert), the water comes freeze dried!!😃
Water down in the valley is all steam.
I own one of these. Costed $3500. Worth every penny. Wish mine had 10 trays. They don’t make one. They really missed an opportunity not making it wifi with an app so my workaround was rigging up a dedicated web cam on the machine’s screen to monitor progress as the machine is in a room in the far corner of my basement to isolate the sound. I also have an extra set of trays and dedicated stand up deep freezer to have the next batch pre frozen and shorten overall batch times. My father has become the freeze dry tzar. He logs the “wet weight” minus the tare weight of the tray of the batch going in as well as the “dry weight” coming out to know how much water is needed to reconstitute. Either way, 8 out of 10 would still recommend. My chili recipe is second to none though.
Can’t you get some on Amazon for like $100
I love when you include Kim and the kids in your videos. Adds context to your platform. This one was well done!
Thank you
Agreed
What an adorable, happy couple!
You are blessed!
DUDE!!!!!
I myself have wanted to freeze dry water but wasn't sure how it would work out; I am so glad you have demonstrated it! I can now move forward with confidence!
Ours arrived broken. Took my husband 3 months to get it working, no help from Harvest Right, all they offered were software updates. The problem was not software, it was not sealed properly. No apologies or making it right. We thought we'd bought a 3k papee weight.
I want to say though, it's going now and it's great. I appreciate your outlook on their improvements, I hadn't looked at it that way, and yes, that is nice they don't up the price
same with me. You call and get incompetent employees who have no idea what they’re doing or talking about and they just referred you to update update update!! Not hard to ruin whole batches. I think the biggest part that pisses me off is it running for 30 hours and then getting an error message.
@@karrylenon9258 Yes, very kind customer service, and wonderful access....they're just of no help, waste your time and money. Ours is only running because i have a husband with an engineers mind and patience, and tenacity. It was trial and waiting. Error, try something else, eventually he got everything sealed. Ridiculous and NO APOLOGIES OR MAKING IT RIGHT by HR. THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE...UNLESS YOU'RE A RUclips INFLUENCER, I guess
Ohhhh...and EXCELLENT help, information sharing and kind people on these threads. This helped A LOT!!
You might find a few silicone trays to pre- freeze liquids to save bags !!!
This 100%! I winced watching all those plastic bags being used 1 time and then disposed. 🥺
My thought.
Same
They might rip trying to take the food out ? I wish I had a FD to try !!
I have silicone ice cube trays that release easily.@@MsGumflip
I Love my Harvest Right and use it all the time. My friends, family and neighbors know I have it and so I occasionally freeze dry for them too. My brother in law is a trucker and I freeze dried several weeks worth of steak with mushroom and onions, chili and other meals for him to keep on his truck. He loved it. It was Great to see Kim!
They have shit customer service if you get a dud though
Sooo...how the customer service? I heard awful.
I've never had a problem with my Freeze Dryer (knock on wood) so have never had to use customer service. (owned it for 3 years) I've seen a couple others who have had issues with their machines and rave about their customer service. @@MuffinstoMangos
woah freeze dried steak!????
Love our freeze dryer. Had a harvest right for about 5 years now and worth every penny.
I don't know who you two are, but I already love you. I love you spirit and zeal in teaching me. Thank you so much.
Hey...from Canada here. You guys are great. Real people talkin about real stuff .Straight up..right to the point..no BS
I would like to buy the medium size but up here with all the extras and tax your looking at $6600 Canadian dollars.
That would buy a sweet guitar.
I was busy making sauerkraut and this video was running in the background. When you said you were going to freeze dry water that got my attention. Funniest prepper move ever!! I'm subscribing to your channel just because you made me laugh my ass off.
Great! When I win the lottery I will buy a freeze dryer.
That water almost looks like Freeze Dried air after its done. Amazing!
It’s a joke right?
@@marylamb5650 Well, if I was joking I would have said it looked exactly like freeze dried air, because then you couldn't tell the difference.
Lol!! And it takes up literally ZERO space! 😂
We have 3 of them, they are $2,695 if you get them at a store, we got ours at tractor supply.
Don’t even see them here in the UK, no joke, nothing, if you were to ask anyone here what a freeze dryer is, they would think it’s something to do with hair styling.
No, I don’t freeze dry my hair, if it was a thing here, we couldn’t afford it.
Sharing your expertise on wutter is what separates you (a professional) from the novice. Frozen boiled water is a time saver alright !!!
😉
How do you freeze dry water and what consistency is it when you get finished and how do you make it back to water again?
I really thought freeze drying the ice would work😢. I guess freeze drying and dehydrating are the same you just have to freeze 1st😢. And yes this is the first I've seen of freeze drying videos
That last one was definitely the most helpful!!
😂
What about freeze dried freeze dryers?
Bought a medium dryer. Not a 4000$ one , the 45$ one. Have to add your own dry ice . Works for me !
You know its gonna be a good weekend when you start it with a HAXMAN video!
Way to lay the pressure on. 😂 Thanks!
@@HAXMAN love the Haxman vids, brings serious subjects to the table in a fun way, keep Haxing.💪🏻
Possible tip….instead of bags I heard dollar tree cake pans are same width as medium trays, freeze your eggs, liquids in them then put two on each tray, save you $ on bags!
Oh man! I need 5 trays 😳 I totally need to do this with my eggs! I always spill 😢 thanks for this hack! I have been needing space in the freezer. I appreciate you all. 💝 Love my harvest right freeze dryer. Worth the investment for sure!
your guy's dynamic is hilarious, thanks for the great tips!
I just bought the medium unit and I can't wait to get the stash built up and expand my camp food experiences!! Great knife by the way! Benchmade Barrage 281 in M390!!! That was my first nice knife.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! We got the large dryer over a year ago and the avid armor chamber and I absolutely LOVE them both! With our garden coming in this year, I was able to preserve everything...but I love your method of freeze drying the eggs! You are both delightful and thank you for sharing this!
I can tell you, I have spilled so many eggs all over my floor, even with the lids on.. I can’t wait to try! I have a lot of eggs waiting for processing 🥰

FINALLY! I FOUND THIS VIDEO. THANKS SO MUCH FOR PRODUCING THIS. Looking for information for a while now that is current. Much obliged!
Hahaha LOL!!! You guys are my kind of people!!! I love your guys presentation, humor, and advice! Very informational and entertaining! I am a new subscriber from BC, Canada 🇨🇦 😊
I don't own a freeze dryer, and I have no idea what the rest of your channel is all about, but I subscribed because y'all are just so danged entertaining!
Thank you!
Thanks for this because I haven't had any problems with mine in many many batches!!.. some fb groups make it terrifying with horror stories.. but it's the best thing since sliced bread!!
Freeze dried water, and you didn't even have to use boiled water to rehydrate. Loved it, made my day🤣🤣
You two are so great together and funny. Appreciate the video. 😊
you both are hilarious! thank yo for the smile and giggles! need it that today! Blessings!
I have gallons of dehydrated water saved, but freeze-drying boiling water is by far the greatest hack of all time! You, sir, are a genius!
😉
Sorry, I don't understand. Is this joke? if you freeze dry the water and then you need to add more water, what have you saved? Just drink water. What? I don't get it. Is it real? I'm new to freeze drying. It looked like the pan was empty to me.
@@marydobson9898 It is satirical yeah, freeze drying removes water so all you would be left with is the dry residue (minerals, salt etc.) which is milligrams on the liter.
Mary, your 25 years old and still didn't realize that was a joke? I mean even if you're old enough to type.... Ehhh nevermind
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FILMED THAT WATER BIT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!! I *ALMOST* FELL FOR IT!!
Have watched your channel off and on. Subscribed today due to "rehydrating freeze-dried water" segment. Thank you!
I've always wanted one of these. When I remodel my kitchen, I'll be designing it for this.
JUST LOVE THE HUMOR - God BLESS
I currently have the medium harvest right freeze dryer. I had an issue with a vacuum leak. It was not pulling down deep enough. And as soon as the vacuum pump would shut off within 1 hour, we were back to equalized pressure instead of holding a vacuum. It turns out the rubber ring on the front. Was touching the shelf rack that is removable on the inside because the shelf rack was not pushed back quite far enough. Also, there are rubber o-rings on the vacuum hose. On either end, you will need to lubricate these hoses with using vacuum pump oil about once every 50 uses. This will keep the o-ring moistened and keep the seal tight.
I absolutely love my freeze dryer.
You put the product in hit start. And walk away and come back and it's done.
I love your hack for freezing eggs and milk first. I will be doing that tomorrow. 😊
The water bit is gold.😂😂😂 You can also freeze dry another freeze dryer then use that freeze dryer to get some yummy freeze dried goodness. I highly recommend a batch of olive oil.😂😂😂
Love the ziploc bag idea!! BRILLIANT!!
Great tips! Especially love the water tip! 🤣
This was really helpful! Thank you!
I bought mine when they was still fairly-new. The older model like the one I have is more difficult to use. Basically have to guess what settings to use. On the plus side, they was cheaper back then.
Great video. When I saw you put the ice on the tray I knew you were going to show us how to successfully freeze dry water. I was not disappointed.
Haxman: I don't have a freeze dryer but I do have a chamber vacuum sealer and I vacuum seal leftovers in BPA free bags and freeze them. I vacuum seal those leftovers for nights when I am too tired to cook or we can't agree on what to eat and they can be microwaved or placed in a pot of hot water on top the stove to be reheated. Has cut our food waste dramatically
Love your shepherd, we have 2. I have a Medium on order hoping with the expanded tray it will be enough for our needs. I think it will. Can't wait to get mine and begin to expand my preservation of foods. Laugh out load on your water trick. too funny
I've been thinking about this. And your video caught my eye. New sub. Great video.
You are one of the greatest RUclips entertainers . Loved the video. Owning a freeze dried is awesome.
Thank you!
Great information. You guys also are a lot of fun. Thanks for what you do.
Thank you for your humor. I needed a laugh today.
Just a quick question: How do you keep your chamber vac sealer from crushing your more delicate freeze dried meals when vacuum sealing for long term storage? I am thinking of spaghetti or other noodles...TIA (Love your channel!)
O My GOD I love you guys so much. Funny and super helpful. Thank you!
I just subscribed because of your last freeze drying hack 😂👍
Seriously though, if I ever get enough extra $ to drop on that machine, I’ll get it! Thx y’all!!
that spiral egg holder is nice!!
Thats the next thing on my list. Im trying to get my backyard fitted for raised beds first. Everything I'm doing i learned from you, so thank you!!!
That’s awesome! Thank you
I'm freeze drying leftovers now. Love the milk trick.
The water thing was hilarious!
Fascinating video on how to get more on a tray!
It would be interesting to know if the thicker frozen eggs and milk have a higher moisture content than when poured into the shallow tray.
If you are in the middle of the desert, what can you use to re hydrate your water? Can you use water from your car's starter hoses?
You can still get the flat ziploc type bags in the dollar stores. I find that the bags that do not have that gusset in the bottom dry faster because one end is not fatter.
Helpful and super funny as always 👏👏👏😂😂
Great video. I'm looking into this!!!
My new favorite videos. Thank you
Too funny. Thank you 🙏 I enjoyed it. Thx 🙏 God bless your family ❤
FUDGE!!!!! I just bought a medium freeze dryer because of this video!!!!! Shame on you for having so much fun and production in the kitchen. LOL Thanks for sharing on the video. I am now a permanent subscriber. Thanks for the link
OMG! This video was a riot to watch. It was informative and very engaging. I laughed so hard while I learned a lot...you are riDONculous🤣🤣🤣
When I freeze dry my milk, or eggs, I just put the tray in the freezer first. I put it on the condenser side of my chest freezer so it’s level. I put a tray down, pour the liquid in, put a cover on, add another tray and repeat. Save your baggies for something else. 🧡 Lorie 😊
P.S. I checked on upgrading my 4 tray to a 5 tray and it’s $500 and something. Haven’t decided yet although my Harvest Right runs 24/7 so it might be worth it to increase my batches by 20% 🤷♀️
You can probably have a 5 tray system fabricated by a local person. that is a rip off for that price.
Great info and I loved your water but at the end😅. Thanks
Brilliant water hack! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seriously, loved your hacks! Want to get a freeze dryer as soon as I can afford one!
This is awesome! I want one so badly and have for years now....but I am on disability and can barely pay my bills.
Freezedried water 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lovew your hack. also, you can Buy tray seperators from Live Life Simple and use freeze the trays in the freezer. If you have doubl the trays needed then you can freeze one set and be freeze drying the second set.
You guys are so fun. I want to do this
Mine just came today!!! I’m so excited, can you tell.😂
Woo Hoo!
Gonna freeze dry all your water?
I thought Harvest Right made it where you can add additional rack to the older models, which was nice they did that.
Thanks for the video! Thanks for the laughs! Y’all are fun!
Love the idea of just replaing the oil instead of filtering, but how do you responsibly dispose of it?
Thanks for sharing.. sadly some people will believe the end! We enjoy your content!
Thanks for the review. how much time does it take for one cycle of freezedrying to complete?
The freeze drying water was the best. I freeze dried 55 gallons and it fit in a 1 qt. mason jar.
😂😂 the water hack is the best! Thank you, great video!
Thank you, you convince me to buy one! Love your haxs on milk and yogurt? Quick question: can you freeze dry cooked ribs and cooked gumbo?
Your channel just poped today at my homepage, and i was having a question, how is your hydroponic going? I am curious to try out aquaponics so wanted to see just hydroponics also
You are both awesome.
If you're putting away a lot of food, a 30-Quart All American pressure canner will run you appx $500 (or you can buy a whole bunch of smaller pressure canners to equal 30 quarts and spend more $), plus all of the jars and lids you need, and spend hours making brines and sauces to pour into your jars after you prep your food and put it in jars (and then you have to babysit the canner) this is hours of food preparation! Or, you could just buy a freeze dryer and let it do most of the work for you, without heating up your house and making you stay up half the night getting your jars out of a canner. It costs more initially, but will pay off in the time and effort that it saves you.
Whats your cost per kwh? Mine is 19.9 cents so if its $2 for you it's probably $4 for me.
about 14 cents
@@HAXMAN thanks! That helps.
How much HEAT does a FD generate when running? Is it like a refrigerator? Can this be put in a covered outside area like a screened porch? Or will outdoor temps (summer, winter) affect the unit?
I saw the ending coming from a mile away, and I still enjoyed every second of it
Thanks for video! Subscribed for the videos and the comedy! Made my day😊.
Harvestright definitely need some competition. Our Large model started to have an electrical fault shortly after it ran out of it's 1yr warranty. I contacted them and they told me they could troubleshoot it, but I first need to pay $45 and of course will need to purchase the parts once they diagnose the problem. I already told them exactly what it was doing so they knew the answer but just wanted to make extra cash. After some hunting around, I found their parts supplier in China and ordered some backup parts for just a few dollars online. Good tips for bagging the eggs and milk! Wondering if you could just unzip the bags after freezing them, then freeze-dry them with the end open and crush out the dried material from the bag so you can reuse them..
Can you freeze dry heavy cream? Or is the fat content a problem? Thank you for your video. I've learned a lot.
😂 😂 😂 😂😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 "Just rehydrate the water".... love it!!!
I love this channel.
