For videos under 10 seconds I save it to my camera roll from memories, edit and trim from camera roll, then move the video to my eyes only, then remove the video from my eyes only then the trimmed video with be in your memories
It appears sometimes for me and sometimes it doesn't. I think it might be that the video has to be at least 10 seconds long but I'm not completely sure.
Thought about that too because a lot of my videos are less than 10 seconds. One thing I guess you could do is that if you notice you mess up while filming or want to cut away the beginning and end (like the parts where you walk up to the phone), just intentionally make it longer than 10 seconds and you'll be able to edit it :)

Like how are they gonna make it so easy to slip up and split your video during the editing process then have no option to get rid of the margin/border with the curser which shows what part of the video is playing at that time. I’ll try to move the curser just to get to a later part of the video to edit but I make sure not to slide up and it STILL manages to split. What else pisses me off is how you can’t re-edit the FULL saved video in your memories. I’m talking the longer recorded videos, not pictures. ...and I’m aware there’s other issues in the world but I enjoyed Snapchat. They give us all these great updates and completely change/improve its originality but they can’t just make that an allowable option by now? Pls do that Snapchat; I know I’m not the only one who’d appreciate it at this point.

My videos are whole (12 second video with music) and when I post it on my story, it splits up the video into two and starts the music over again on the 2nd video. It's not like that in my memories on my phone.

Why does this not work? I can trim it, click it again so the tool dissappears and saves but when I post it, I go and look at my story, and it will start where I trimmed off the first half, then plays the rest of the snap even if I trim the end, it still plays the trimmed part. This app is crap!! I just did the steps you said! I recorded a video about one minute. I trimmed it to something about 10 second or 15 (tried both) then i tapped on send. So now what i see is the whole video that i recorded without trimming on my story and on map!!! Tried it for like 10 times still the same sh*t happens!

Close it and do save changes, or if you just filmed it (Save it first before snipping)
