You’re right, The fast and Furious movies are basically made for chinese audiences, because China recently let American movies in their country, sometime in the 2010s I think. They love big action movies like that, and movies make a bulk of their profits from China, ‘cause there is so many people.

The most recent Fast and Furious movie had a budget over $340 Billion (which is ridiculous when you realize the new Godzilla Minus One was made in Japan for $15 billion)
They would have taken a bath because it only did $207 Billion in the US, but it did over $400 additional Billion globally. China is definitely the current target market for blockbuster movies, which is why they all suck. It's all about the visuals and nobody cares about the plot.
