I had terrible GERD in my late 30’s was under a lot of stress. I couldn’t even drink a glass of water without it coming back up. I ended up waking up every night while aspirating into my lungs. We found a gastroenterologist which then announced I had a rare disease called achalisia, and then did some kind of procedure called a toupee. Ever since, I have struggled with certain foods which causes the high acid which has damaged my vagus nerve and kicks my heart into a-fib. I have been chasing so many things. I would love to go out of the house and live again. Go for walks with my husband, help others like I used to be able to. I used to be a caretaker but others are now taking care of me. Thank you for your labor of love in helping others
I want to tell you, I'm a very fit 60 year old that's been trying to get rid of that annoying acid feeling all my life. Nexium and all of those type of over the counter or prescription never worked and I don't like taking drugs anyway. This combination of aloe and the reflux has done wonders in just two weeks I cannot thank you enough
Great to hear you suggest breathing to heal. That is my experience too. Deep, long, fast breathing changed my experience within days, the healing of my body began.
I'm glad to hear that you've had a positive experience with breathing for healing! Deep, long, and fast breathing can indeed have profound effects on our well-being. It's amazing how something as simple as conscious breathing can initiate positive changes in the body. Thank you for sharing your experience, and here's to the ongoing journey of health and healing through breath. 🌬️💙

Hi Melissa what a great video. I'm in my 70's now and suffered with gerd now for decades. Love chillies and spicy foods. But looks like I need to change my diet. Drink some ginger tea, tumeric and aloe Vera and try some free natural remedies like melatonin to ease the fire in my throat when I wake in the middle of the night gasping for breath 😢 Regards Terry
Hey @terrypascoe1668! Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you found the video helpful. Dealing with GERD for decades can be challenging, but there are steps you can take to manage it. Making changes to your diet is a good starting point, especially when it comes to reducing or avoiding spicy foods and chilies. Incorporating ginger tea, turmeric, and aloe vera can potentially provide relief for GERD symptoms. Ginger tea and turmeric are known for their anti-inflammatory properties, while aloe vera may help soothe the lining of the esophagus. You also mentioned trying melatonin as a natural remedy to ease the fire in your throat during nighttime episodes. Melatonin has been studied for its potential to improve symptoms of GERD, including reducing acid reflux. However, it's important to remember that everyone's experience with GERD can vary, and it's crucial. is best to consult with me for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan bit.ly/3EmExdU
@@debbiec6216 Thanks for asking Debbie. I still have Barrets Esophagus and every 3 years I have an endoscopy to check on the cells. I have to be careful of what and when I eat. There is a chance it will develop into cancer but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I have been diagnosed by a gastroenterologist with IBS and I do acid reflux once in a while. I also have problems with sleeping so I will try melatonin which should help . I have in my own fixing this as well. So on my own I have worked it out. But I will definitely try the other product as well. I am just putting things in my body slowly. I wish I had seen this before. Thanks for doing this for people. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and I'm glad to hear that you've been proactive in managing your health. It's essential to take things at your own pace and make informed choices about what you put into your body. Melatonin can indeed be helpful for sleep, and it's great that you're open to trying different products to find what works best for you. I appreciate your kind words and support. My goal is to provide information and help people like you make informed decisions about their health and wellness. If you ever have more questions or need further guidance, please feel free to reach out. Wishing you all the best on your journey to better health! ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely enjoyed this video. I have been seeing an ENT because I had started getting a hoarseness in my throat. I thought it could have something to do with my vocal chords since over 20 years ago I had polyps removed from my vocal chords. My vocal chords were fine but he said my throat was inflamed due to acid reflux. He put me on Omeprazole 20mg twice daily. He did tell me to change my diet exactly what you have said in this video. This other information you have given is amazing though, especially about the Melatonin. I would have never known. I have taken myself off the medication due to being afraid to stay on it too long. Thanks for all this great information!
I've been suffering from this for years now. Since this made my chest area tight, I was given all sorts of asthma and lung related medication with zero effectiveness. Only recently I figured its not lung related, instead stomach/GERD related and had it confirmed. Would love to try the supplements. My belief in natural medicine is over the roof these day !
I have never heard of the Melatonin. Will try this out cos that’s really a new one for me. Suffered alot from GERD and despite all PPI’s given the hasn’t been any relief for the last three years.I also cannot stop belching.Mine starts from once I wake up in the morning until I go to bed.Gives crazy chest pains all year round and unbearable heartburns. I also have lots of challenges sleeping. I got melatonin last night and in months was able to sleep. Will continue hoping it really helps as you have said. Thanks for the enlightenment.I have subscribed with your channel and hope to learn more overtime.Cheers.
Yes, right, when I have started taking melatonin before bed plus during the day supplement of turmeric My acid was almost gone but I did not know the reason why? Now it is clear 👌 Thank you very much 😊
I’ll definitely try these! I already had results eating natural foods! Processed foods sets reflux on fire! Deep breathing I did by chance but it helped relux.. helped esophageal burning! So now I know with what you are saying it’s true!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this video. I have been suffering from acid reflux for over 10 years and need all the options I can find to help my stomach and throat heal.
I have GERD for numerous years! I have been on numerous medications for this many years being switch from one to another..I truly have been watching you for year's. For instant, I had a plug up ear for weeks I was going to call my primary physician to clean out my ears. You post a video and gave us techniques how to unplug my ear instantly my ear was unplugged and I haven't had a problem since...Now with the Gerd ( chronic) I will try all of your recommendations believing that one will work. Even if I don't win thanks for sharing this vital information I truly appreciate and trust your work. Once again, THANKS
I actually was eating dinner and my food just wouldn’t go down or come out. I drank water hoping it would push the food down. Then night time came and I slept in my recliner hoping the food would go down. Well, I ended up having to go to the ER and they gave me something by IV that would relax my esophagus so the food would go down. It worked and the Dr gave me a prescription of omeprazole 40 mg capsules to take everyday. I hate having to take any ppi. I’ve had heartburn/acid reflux for so many years and have used the ppi’s and the Tums, etc…. Your products sound good, I definitely want to give them a try. Great video, thank you 😊
The struggle is real. Every food you outlined as irritating I can personally confirm! I’m so glad to hear about the cooling foods. Some I figured out already, others I will add. I didn’t know about melatonin. I will add that component once I can. Thanks for explaining all of this. I’ve already stopped the tums because it didn’t help. And I’m addressing stress. It’s a good thing to have a plan outlined and I appreciate your putting all the research together so we can feel better. Please enter me into the drawing. I would be happy to add this to my routine!
Very good explanation and treatment options for GERD. i have been suffering from this for many years and using PPIs. But now i will happily try these five treatments/suggestions
I have never heard of Melatonin being helpful for Gerd and am excited to try that out. I also love the idea of having natural products to both enhance my stomach's natural production of acid and strengthening my lower esophageal sphincter muscle. I have been on omeprazole in the morning and famotidine in the afternoon for years for my Gerd and am 57 so I worry about continuing these products. Since they do help me a lot I am also concerned that natural remedies would not work. How to you make the change to the natural products without experiencing Gerd Pain? How long before I would notice the change? Thank you so much.
Well the challenge is a lot of these meds cause more grief. So you have to be committed to making the life changing and situation changing alterations. I first recommend you enter it will the intention of sticking to the plan during the healing process which can take a while depending on the degree of mucosal damage, inflammation and imbalance GERD had created.

Very thorough presentation. Enjoyed the natural options & their benefits! Shared with my daughter. Shes been taking over the counter remedies almost 20 years..far too long!
Thanks for valuable information. I'll be eating the ginger and tumeric tea, alovera juice, eating more cucumber bananas berries and greens I'll also practice breath Work-the breathing exercises. I'll enquire about Melatonin, refluxin and gastro one . Thanks again.
You're very welcome! It sounds like you've got a fantastic plan to support your health. Incorporating those foods and practices can make a real difference. If you have any questions about Melatonin, Refluxin, or Gastro One, feel free to ask. Wishing you all the best on your wellness journey! 😊🌿🍌🍇🍃💨

I have been suffering with this for a few years. I never go to the doctor for it because I don't want to be on prescriptions so I just silently suffer almost every time I eat. Food comes back up a little at a time for a few hours. Even healthy foods. I would love to try products!

Over a year ago, I noticed increased mucus around my throat. When I get it out, more mucus develops around my throat within seconds. Also, I noticed that my front teeth were getting thinner and later I could feel with my tongue a very rough surface behind my front teeth. Often told my dentist about my teeth thinning, but he never had anything to say about it. Told my doctor and she said it sounds like allergies. Now that I’ve been listening to these videos about GERD and acid reflux, and hearing you say “dental erosion”, I finally get to the real cause. One other thing I noticed when this started was that when I wake up during the night, there would be an awful taste in my mouth. All these symptoms, I figure, are signs of Acid Reflux. Now that I have a better idea about what’s going on, time to fix it. Thank you for your work, doctor.
It sounds like you’ve connected the dots, and that’s a big step forward! Those symptoms-mucus, thinning teeth, and bad taste-do align with acid reflux or GERD. Acid can definitely cause dental erosion, and it’s great that you’re now aware of what might be going on. Working on managing reflux can help protect your teeth and overall health. I’m glad the videos helped you figure things out!
@@20lounge I think this all started some time after I got into the habit of eating dinner(also eating too much) at around 10-11pm, or later, then going to sleep in the recliner chair shortly thereafter. So, I’m starting off with changing that habit of eating late and eating to the point of discomfort. I’ll go to sleep some 3 hours after eating. Also, I think that I have too low acid, so I’ll be including with my meals taking Betaine HCL+Pepsin. Just getting started, so I don’t know yet if this is going to work.
Thank you for all your guidance. I have been searching for a natural approach for my acid reflux for a while. I will apply all four tips and let you know of my results.

Thank you for sharing this video, very informative. I suffered from acid reflux for sometime, and was advised to have a surgery. Since the surgery, I have developed symptoms of excessive and uncomfortable burping, immediately after the surgery. my social life is suffering. I hope your video will help me to have a bit of comfort from my symptoms.
Hello @jennyakoto1555, I'm glad to hear that you found the video informative, and I'm sorry to hear about your post-surgery symptoms. The cause of your symptoms may vary, and your healthcare provider can help identify the underlying issue and recommend appropriate treatment or management strategies. They may suggest dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, or medications to alleviate your discomfort. Additionally, you can try some simple tips to minimize burping, such as eating smaller and more frequent meals, avoiding trigger foods or beverages (like carbonated drinks), and maintaining good posture while eating. However, it's crucial not to self-diagnose or self-treat. Your healthcare provider's guidance is essential for addressing your specific situation. I hope that your symptoms improve with the help of your healthcare provider and the information in the video. Remember to keep open communication with your healthcare team and follow their recommendations for the best possible outcome. Wishing you comfort and improved social life. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
Thank you for sharing this information. My daughter has Hashimoto's and is suffering from GERD and I'm hoping to help her find relief. I've also suffered from GERD in the past, but have been able to manage it with diet. I appreciate the opportunity!
Such helpful information! I’ve struggled with acid reflux and stomach troubles for over 20 years. Would be so excited to try this as it sounds really effective and so healing. And it would be nice to not be fearful when I go out to eat thinking my stomach was going to flare. Thank you for all your education 🤗
In my relentless search for information regarding “acid reflux/GERD” treatments or therapies, yours has given me a baseline. Melatonin was an eye-opener since, in my mind, it has to do with sleep and circadian rhythm. Not sleeping plays havoc with my well-being. The other was “breath work”. My concern is that I am on PPI and antacid medication, which goes against my belief in doing things naturally. But I gave in and began taking the meds because my throat is sore, raspy throat, and very bad reflux. This was the best video that I have seen on this subject. Thank you

I hope you already got rid of acid reflux. If not, you may try natural remedies such as red apple delicious and Fuji apple fruits. Eat those fruits for a few days to ensure success of treatment. Those red apples are known to have alkaline properties and are proven to be effective in getting rid of acid reflux.
I'm suffering from reflux very badly, chest pains feeling sick headaches stomach pains. Very interesting of your products but it's cost that I can't afford at the moment. Thank you so much for your video it's make me feel a lots better. Thank you.
Awww thanks for watching. Wellness and healing is an investment in time, thoughts and financial resources. You are with that investment - feeling 💯 is worth it!
This was so interesting! I do take zinc carnosine and it helped me tremendously. I am concerned about taking melatonin though, we have some but my hubby takes it at night sometimes to help him fall asleep faster. I've never taken it, will it make me want to sleep during the day?? I'll try making ginger tea too! Have you selected a winner yet? If not, I hope it's me!
wow amazing information 🤩 My husband has acid reflux since childhood i will definitely be getting some of stuff mentioned…Thanks so much and God bless 🙏
I've been miserable with GI issues the past 6 months especially. I've found so much benefit in turmeric, slippery elm, marshmallow and more. It would be so beneficial to have all these supplements in one capsule! I'd love to try it.
Finally some natural remedies that make more sense than more pills. I was just diagnosed with a hiatal hernia after an endoscopy. As I was waking up and recovering the doctor came in and said.......take another Famotidine pill and you'll feel better. I don't . Very anxious to try your recommendations inhopes of solving some years of discomfort. Thank you!
I’ve had issues for years. I take 2 Prilosec daily, it doesn’t seem to matter what I eat I get acid reflux. I’ve switched to a low carb diet but that’s not helping either. I’m afraid not to take Prilosec. I know it’s not helping in the long run though. A cooling diet makes a lot of sense. I know my gut is very messed up ! I need to try it all! Thanks for the video!
Thanks Dr. Melissa! I’ve been following you for a while now (loved that you were on the Lipedema roundtable!). My husband and I were scrolling through new youtube posts tonight and HE actually saw this video and asked if we could watch it since he has GERD and the flap on his stomach/esophagus doesn’t close all the way. He learned to add in more fruits and veggies (he’s bummed about the coffee thing, lol) but he for sure could benefit from the products you mentioned -especially the one that helps the flap close! Thanks!
Thanks! I’m glad you found the ideas helpful! Acupuncture can be a really interesting option for GERD-many people have found it supportive. If you’re curious about trying it, definitely look into it further! 😊
I have had Gerd my entire life. Sadly, I lost all of my teeth at an early age, as they all broke off at the gumline from the acid eating the enamel off my teeth. I am currently suffering from severe asthma because of the inflammation caused by the acid. I am on strong steroids to help me breath. They are no longer working because asthma is not my underlying problem. I am sitting here burping what feels like pure acid. I am so glad I tuned into his video tonight. I feel it may have saved my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have been on antibiotics every month for the last year and a half. Sinus problems, ear infections, stress and terrible stomac problems have happened because of the antibiotics have killed my gut microbiome. And now gerd. I am so tired of being sick. Just got off a month on antibiotics...tore up stomach and diarrhea. Finally startrd with pro and prebiotics to try and heal stomach. But I know to stop this gerd. It is terrible, I bend over and stuff comes up my throat on fire and the nauses is terrible after I eat. I really do need help so please consider me to try your products. I have bought so many different products and spend hundreds a month trying different products. If I don't win I am still going to try yours. What have I got to loose more money 😒 All I can say is everyone tells a good pitch what their product will do and then it doesn't 🤔. Yours does make sense. Thank you. Veronica Moorman
Gerd is miserable! I am willing to try these Naturopathic approach because it deal with the root cause. Thanks for the explanations and how melatonin can also help!
Oh my goodness Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much. I started getting acid reflux after I had food poisoning in June. It really sucks. Is constipation normal with GERD?
I'm so sorry to hear about your acid reflux. It's a frustrating condition that can significantly impact quality of life. Yes, constipation is a common symptom associated with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). The same medications or lifestyle changes that help manage GERD can also alleviate constipation. Here are some tips: Dietary adjustments: Avoid trigger foods like spicy foods, citrus, and caffeine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals, and chew slowly. Lifestyle changes: Elevate your upper body while sleeping, quit smoking, and limit alcohol intake. Over-the-counter medications: Antacids, H2 blockers, or proton pump inhibitors can help reduce stomach acid.
Thanks so much for this! I want off PPIs for good! I know they're not good, but I have to keep going back to them because the acid reflux gets so bad! I think these products , a lot with diet changes, will help me a lot with healing and rebalancing.
Thank you so much for explaining the function of the digestive tract. I have never heard of Melatonin helping to strengthen the LES. I have been struggling with GERD for many many years. Unfortunately, I have to have my throat and esophagus scoped every three years due to the scarring and damage. All the doctor wants to do is prescribe medicine. I have been searching for a long time to find relief and a natural way to end this problem. I appreciate your willingness to help us. Sincerely, Charles O
@@NaturalHealthResources My specialist recommends scoping to make sure I don't have cancer. I asked him how to heal my esophagus and he said I can't heal the damage, it's permanent. I hope this can help me.
Hello there , before I make recommendations you need to consult with me, so that I can assess your situation and provide guidance on how long you should take melatonin and whether it's suitable for you. It's always best to seek expert medical advice for GERD management.
Thank you for this video. Two weeks ago, I had to go to the doctor for upper chest pains and issues. I found out it was my digestive system that was likely causing the issues and I was given medication. I realize that I can be early in the process of GERD and I am trying different things to lessen long-term issues is my current thinking. I tried the aloe suggestion today, and I already noticed an improvement. I did eat sort of an unhealthy dinner, and I drank an entire Aloe Verde juice bottle, it was the size of a water bottle. It was good. I plan on drinking Aloe Verde juice more in the future. I also plan on starting drinking Ginger and Tumeric tea. I have cut out on drinking Soda, and I have somewhat mostly cleaned my diet. A little hard being new to this process. Should I try Melatonin soon?
It sounds like you’re already making great changes! Aloe and ginger can be very soothing for GERD, and cutting soda is definitely a smart move. Melatonin can help some people with GERD, especially if symptoms get worse at night, but it’s always good to check with your doctor before adding any new supplements. You’re on the right track-keep it up!
Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm a 30 year old healthy male and I'm having acid reflux and dry cough for the last 2 days. I consumed Rennie tablets and Baking Soda but they didn't help. The Doctor suggested to take Proton Pump Inhibitors for 2 weeks. Do you think that it's necessary to take it so that the esophagus could heal in this time? Or is it harmful even for 2 weeks?
Hi @mianshahmirali1607, I’m glad you found the video helpful! If Rennie tablets and baking soda haven’t worked, your doctor’s suggestion to use Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) could be a good step to help heal your esophagus and manage acid reflux. PPIs are generally safe for short-term use, like the two weeks your doctor recommended. They work by reducing stomach acid, which can help with healing and alleviate symptoms.
Thank you for this informative video. I’m curious- while managing melatonin- this must be taken at night ? Don’t know that I can do so daytime and feel sluggish.
Hey Lacei, Thanks for watching! Melatonin is primarily known for its sleep-inducing properties, so it's typically recommended for nighttime use. However, everyone's body is different. Some people find that taking melatonin during the day can help. But if you're concerned about feeling sluggish, it might be best to stick to taking it at night.

So a lot of the time frame varies on the degree of mucosal lining irritation, diet. Systemic inflammation and other variables. But I see positive results in 2-6 months.
Hi Melissa. Very informative video! I would love to try these supplements that you recommended. I have gerd/acid reflux/ hiatal hernia and have been taking a PPI for 20 years and really want to stop taking it as I have heard how bad it is to be on them long term!
im gonna try this melatonin..been suffering from Gerd..keep coming back everytime i ate foods that triggers..since this is chronic i hope melatonin would eliminate aside from avoiding foods that would triggers..thanks for this info.very helpful
This is the most helpful protocol I’ve found yet for GERD. I’ve been suffering for 6 years. Every time I eat I start coughing because my throat is always irritated. I will try the melatonin and the herbal supplements! I have been doing acupuncture but only once a week. I’ll ask to have more treatments. I’ll try the supplements. Thank you for sharing how to regain balance in regard to digestion. ❤️
Love this, I’m so tired of taking acid reducing medication. So worried about these medications preventing me from absorbing vitamins i need. Everything you say makes so much sense.
Just went to gastro yesterday for my Gerd getting worse. Have endoscopy next Friday. This is no fun and I will try anything, especially if it is more natural. Best of luck to everyone.
Thanks, I note Refluxin has soy lecithin that is not cert. organic. No mention of the product being GMO free. Seems like out of the frying pan into the fire... There are organic raft options though more expensive. I like the acupuncture tip & the deep breathing tip, thanks :)
Hey @happysnappess! You make a great point about soy lecithin and the lack of a GMO-free certification. It’s frustrating when healthier options come with trade-offs. Organic alternatives might be worth it, even if they’re a bit pricier. Glad you liked the acupuncture and deep breathing tips! They can really help with reflux. 😊
I have acid reflux almost every night, sometimes waking me up or hindering going to sleep. I have melatonin but only have taken it as a sleep aid. I am enjoying your videos and have started taking the bone strengthening supplement you recommended.
I will try diaphragmatic breathing and melatonin. Regarding experience with GERD, 23 years of non stop acid reflux. Several endoscopies found undisgested food and gastritis. On top of that impossible to get rid of parasites, flat worm and liver fluke. Tried everything, nothing worked but acupuncture for a little while. I had hpylori and ulcers, but not anymore.
Thank you for sharing your experience with GERD and your efforts to manage it. It sounds like you have tried a lot of different things to find relief, including acupuncture, which helped for a little while. It can be frustrating to deal with a chronic condition like this, especially when other health issues like parasites are also present. Diaphragmatic breathing and melatonin are two options that may provide some relief for GERD symptoms. Diaphragmatic breathing can help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can contribute to GERD symptoms. Melatonin has been shown to have a protective effect on the esophagus and may help to reduce symptoms of GERD. It's important to continue working with your healthcare provider to find a management plan that works for you. They may also be able to suggest additional options, such as medications or dietary changes, to help manage your GERD symptoms. Best of luck on your journey to finding relief. Please feel free to arrange a meeting with me so that we may talk about your health and wellbeing objectives: bit.ly/3EmExdU
The two I will try ...Refluxin and Gastro One . I will NOT take melatonin , I took it before , once I woke up, I was tired the entire day and I didn't feel good. In the next 2 months from now, I'll be getting appointment to see how my Esophagus is doing. I try and have it checked , every 6 months ( Esophagus ) . As far as my breathing , I been doing those exercises.
Thank you for sharing your experience and your plan for managing reflux. It's great that you're proactive about checking your esophagus health regularly. Each person reacts differently to supplements, so it's wise to find what works best for you. If you have any specific questions or concerns before your appointment, feel free to reach out. Wishing you the best on your health journey!

Does GERD cause coughing?
I left you a longer message below. The last two are what I can try first.
Hello I am just researching this issue I have. I can't find the links fir the medication you recommend. Can you please post them again
I had terrible GERD in my late 30’s was under a lot of stress. I couldn’t even drink a glass of water without it coming back up. I ended up waking up every night while aspirating into my lungs. So happy to hear it. Thank you for sharing!
How are you now??
5 min of breathing before and after each meal is really helpful
Thank you for your input
Breathing means what type of breathing?
could you please share what kind of breathing do you do?
Great to hear you suggest breathing to heal. That is my experience too. Deep, long, fast breathing changed my experience within days, the healing of my body began.

Hi Melissa what a great video. I'm in my 70's now and suffered with gerd now for decades. Love chillies and spicy foods. But looks like I need to change my diet. Drink some ginger tea, tumeric and aloe Vera and try some free natural remedies like melatonin to ease the fire in my throat when I wake in the middle of the night gasping for breath 😢
Regards
Terry
I appreciate you addressing this. Been a Gerd sufferer for a few years now and the throat pain when waking is worrisome.
Awww absolutely. It can be painful and scary.
I had Gerd for years and now as a result I have Barrett's Esophagus. This condition is precancerous cells. Might be worth getting yourself checked out
@@adrianbrown1492 how are you doing ?????
@@debbiec6216 Thanks for asking Debbie. I still have Barrets Esophagus and every 3 years I have an endoscopy to check on the cells. I have to be careful of what and when I eat. There is a chance it will develop into cancer but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
@@adrianbrown1492 I hope you get better .
I have a question to ask. Do you know if The Esophagus can ever heal, if so what will heal it ? Thank you.

Aww sorry to hear this but yes natural medicine is powerful.
I have severed from reflux and asmatic.
Good morning.
What do l start? You are right l have being medicine for many years but stops the for short time . Please advise . Where can l get?

Now it is clear 👌 Thank you very much 😊
Yay! That is great to help connect the dots. 🌟
How long did the melatonin take to work?
How long you take that tablet did u see relief for how many days??
I’ll definitely try these! I already had results eating natural foods! Processed foods sets reflux on fire! Deep breathing I did by chance but it helped relux.. helped esophageal burning! So now I know with what you are saying it’s true!! Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this video. I have been suffering from acid reflux for over 10 years and need all the options I can find to help my stomach and throat heal.

Awesome, thank you!
Even if I don't win thanks for sharing this vital information
I truly appreciate and trust your work. Once again, THANKS
That’s how I found her also! Same! It still happens.
Any update?
Did it work? I guaruntee that it didn't.
Great video, thank you 😊
Aww I feel for you. That is a scary feeling.
💖thanks for watching.

Fantastic. Please keep me posted on your progress 🌿Dr M
Hello Dr. Melissa. No. I have not heard mention of Melatonin being used for GERD. Thanks for another awesome video.
Most welcome 🌟
First time hearing the benefits of Melatonin. Will give it a try. Thx.

I’m glad the videos helped you figure things out!
hi, i have the same symptoms as yours.. may i know what do you plan to do for your recovery?
@@20lounge I think this all started some time after I got into the habit of eating dinner(also eating too much) at around 10-11pm, or later, then going to sleep in the recliner chair shortly thereafter. So, I’m starting off with changing that habit of eating late and eating to the point of discomfort. I’ll go to sleep some 3 hours after eating. Also, I think that I have too low acid, so I’ll be including with my meals taking Betaine HCL+Pepsin. Just getting started, so I don’t know yet if this is going to work.
Never heard about the Melatonin before-this is Great New Information, I will certainly try it.

Hello @jennyakoto1555,
I'm glad to hear that you found the video informative, and I'm sorry to hear about your post-surgery symptoms.

Thank you

Here are some tips:
Dietary adjustments: Avoid trigger foods like spicy foods, citrus, and caffeine.
Yes!! It’s totally possible!!!!
How are uou now??
Thank you so much for explaining the function of the digestive tract. I have never heard of Melatonin helping to strengthen the LES. I have been struggling with GERD for many many years. Hi Dr. Melissa! Thank you for sharing this video..I've struggled much with this Gerd..im interested using melatonin,,how long should i take it?
I didn’t know about melatonin for GERD. Thanks for the tips!
Yay happy to shed light ☀️
This was really helpful. Doctors kept prescribing me antacids and it made things worse.
I am happy to help
Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm a 30 year old healthy male and I'm having acid reflux and dry cough for the last 2 days. I consumed Rennie tablets and Baking Soda but they didn't help. The Doctor suggested to take Proton Pump Inhibitors for 2 weeks. Do you think that it's necessary to take it so that the esophagus could heal in this time? Or is it harmful even for 2 weeks?
Hi @mianshahmirali1607,
I’m glad you found the video helpful!
Hey Lacei,
Thanks for watching! Melatonin is primarily known for its sleep-inducing properties, so it's typically recommended for nighttime use. However, everyone's body is different.
Some people find that taking melatonin during the day can help. But if you're concerned about feeling sluggish, it might be best to stick to taking it at night.
I really need these products

I have used melatonin for years, my Gerd is strong, I do use aloe juice. Thank you for all your wisdom. How long would one have to be on the protocol?
So a lot of the time frame varies on the degree of mucosal lining irritation, diet. Systemic inflammation and other variables. But I see positive results in 2-6 months.

Yay! Love hearing that!
I’m very happy to learn this
Glad to hear that
Love this, I’m so tired of taking acid reducing medication. So worried about these medications preventing me from absorbing vitamins i need. Everything you say makes so much sense.
Yes that is such a common concern and many of them (I didn’t say this in the video)half digestion and ultimately this creates lower gi issues.
Thank you so much for all your info you have helped me n family I'm GREATFUL God bless you
Aww most welcome 💖

Just went to gastro yesterday for my Gerd getting worse. Have endoscopy next Friday. This is no fun and I will try anything, especially if it is more natural. Best of luck to everyone.
I am sorry. I know they are terrible. But necessary to view what may be inflamed. Just made sure you Get the documentation of the scope
How are you now miss??
Great information I will follow it.
Glad it was helpful!
❤It. Thanks for sharing informations. God Bless.
Thanks for watching!
Awww love hearing you enjoy these. Acid reflux can be so disruptive.
