    I had terrible GERD in my late 30’s was under a lot of stress. I couldn’t even drink a glass of water without it coming back up. I ended up waking up every night while aspirating into my lungs. We found a gastroenterologist which then announced I had a rare disease called achalisia, and then did some kind of procedure called a toupee. Ever since, I have struggled with certain foods which causes the high acid which has damaged my vagus nerve and kicks my heart into a-fib. I have been chasing so many things. I would love to go out of the house and live again. Go for walks with my husband, help others like I used to be able to. I used to be a caretaker but others are now taking care of me. Thank you for your labor of love in helping others

Nexium and all of those type of over the counter or prescription never worked and I don't like taking drugs anyway. This combination of aloe and the reflux has done wonders in just two weeks I cannot thank you enough

    Hi Melissa what a great video. I'm in my 70's now and suffered with gerd now for decades. Love chillies and spicy foods. But looks like I need to change my diet. Drink some ginger tea, tumeric and aloe Vera and try some free natural remedies like melatonin to ease the fire in my throat when I wake in the middle of the night gasping for breath 😢
    Regards
    Terry

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Год назад

      Hey @terrypascoe1668! Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you found the video helpful. Dealing with GERD for decades can be challenging, but there are steps you can take to manage it. Making changes to your diet is a good starting point, especially when it comes to reducing or avoiding spicy foods and chilies.
      Incorporating ginger tea, turmeric, and aloe vera can potentially provide relief for GERD symptoms. Ginger tea and turmeric are known for their anti-inflammatory properties, while aloe vera may help soothe the lining of the esophagus.
      You also mentioned trying melatonin as a natural remedy to ease the fire in your throat during nighttime episodes. Melatonin has been studied for its potential to improve symptoms of GERD, including reducing acid reflux.
      However, it's important to remember that everyone's experience with GERD can vary, and it's crucial.
      is best to consult with me for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan bit.ly/3EmExdU

    Definitely enjoyed this video. I have been seeing an ENT because I had started getting a hoarseness in my throat. I thought it could have something to do with my vocal chords since over 20 years ago I had polyps removed from my vocal chords. My vocal chords were fine but he said my throat was inflamed due to acid reflux. He put me on Omeprazole 20mg twice daily. He did tell me to change my diet exactly what you have said in this video. This other information you have given is amazing though, especially about the Melatonin. I would have never known. I have taken myself off the medication due to being afraid to stay on it too long. Thanks for all this great information!

    I actually was eating dinner and my food just wouldn’t go down or come out. I drank water hoping it would push the food down. Then night time came and I slept in my recliner hoping the food would go down. Well, I ended up having to go to the ER and they gave me something by IV that would relax my esophagus so the food would go down. It worked and the Dr gave me a prescription of omeprazole 40 mg capsules to take everyday. I hate having to take any ppi. I’ve had heartburn/acid reflux for so many years and have used the ppi’s and the Tums, etc…. Your products sound good, I definitely want to give them a try. Great video, thank you 😊

    I have never heard of Melatonin being helpful for Gerd and am excited to try that out. I also love the idea of having natural products to both enhance my stomach's natural production of acid and strengthening my lower esophageal sphincter muscle. I have been on omeprazole in the morning and famotidine in the afternoon for years for my Gerd and am 57 so I worry about continuing these products. Since they do help me a lot I am also concerned that natural remedies would not work. How to you make the change to the natural products without experiencing Gerd Pain? How long before I would notice the change? Thank you so much.

    Over a year ago, I noticed increased mucus around my throat. When I get it out, more mucus develops around my throat within seconds. Also, I noticed that my front teeth were getting thinner and later I could feel with my tongue a very rough surface behind my front teeth. Often told my dentist about my teeth thinning, but he never had anything to say about it. Told my doctor and she said it sounds like allergies. Now that I’ve been listening to these videos about GERD and acid reflux, and hearing you say “dental erosion”, I finally get to the real cause. One other thing I noticed when this started was that when I wake up during the night, there would be an awful taste in my mouth. All these symptoms, I figure, are signs of Acid Reflux. Now that I have a better idea about what’s going on, time to fix it. Thank you for your work, doctor.

      It sounds like you’ve connected the dots, and that’s a big step forward! Those symptoms-mucus, thinning teeth, and bad taste-do align with acid reflux or GERD. Acid can definitely cause dental erosion, and it’s great that you’re now aware of what might be going on. Working on managing reflux can help protect your teeth and overall health. I’m glad the videos helped you figure things out!

      Additionally, you can try some simple tips to minimize burping, such as eating smaller and more frequent meals, avoiding trigger foods or beverages (like carbonated drinks), and maintaining good posture while eating.

    In my relentless search for information regarding “acid reflux/GERD” treatments or therapies, yours has given me a baseline. Melatonin was an eye-opener since, in my mind, it has to do with sleep and circadian rhythm. Not sleeping plays havoc with my well-being. The other was “breath work”.
    My concern is that I am on PPI and antacid medication, which goes against my belief in doing things naturally. But I gave in and began taking the meds because my throat is sore, raspy throat, and very bad reflux.

    This was so interesting! I do take zinc carnosine and it helped me tremendously. I am concerned about taking melatonin though, we have some but my hubby takes it at night sometimes to help him fall asleep faster. I've never taken it, will it make me want to sleep during the day?? I'll try making ginger tea too! Have you selected a winner yet? If not, I hope it's me!

    I have had Gerd my entire life. Sadly, I lost all of my teeth at an early age, as they all broke off at the gumline from the acid eating the enamel off my teeth. I am currently suffering from severe asthma because of the inflammation caused by the acid. I am on strong steroids to help me breath. They are no longer working because asthma is not my underlying problem. I am sitting here burping what feels like pure acid. I am so glad I tuned into his video tonight. • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  2 месяца назад

      I'm so sorry to hear about your acid reflux. It's a frustrating condition that can significantly impact quality of life.
      Yes, constipation is a common symptom associated with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
      The same medications or lifestyle changes that help manage GERD can also alleviate constipation.
      Here are some tips:
      Dietary adjustments: Avoid trigger foods like spicy foods, citrus, and caffeine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals, and chew slowly.
      Lifestyle changes: Elevate your upper body while sleeping, quit smoking, and limit alcohol intake.
      Over-the-counter medications: Antacids, H2 blockers, or proton pump inhibitors can help reduce stomach acid.

    Thank you for this video. Two weeks ago, I had to go to the doctor for upper chest pains and issues. I found out it was my digestive system that was likely causing the issues and I was given medication. I realize that I can be early in the process of GERD and I am trying different things to lessen long-term issues is my current thinking. I tried the aloe suggestion today, and I already noticed an improvement. I did eat sort of an unhealthy dinner, and I drank an entire Aloe Verde juice bottle, it was the size of a water bottle. It was good. I plan on drinking Aloe Verde juice more in the future. I also plan on starting drinking Ginger and Tumeric tea. I have cut out on drinking Soda, and I have somewhat mostly cleaned my diet. A little hard being new to this process. Should I try Melatonin soon?

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Месяц назад

      It sounds like you’re already making great changes! Aloe and ginger can be very soothing for GERD, and cutting soda is definitely a smart move. Melatonin can help some people with GERD, especially if symptoms get worse at night, but it’s always good to check with your doctor before adding any new supplements. You’re on the right track-keep it up!

    Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm a 30 year old healthy male and I'm having acid reflux and dry cough for the last 2 days. I consumed Rennie tablets and Baking Soda but they didn't help. The Doctor suggested to take Proton Pump Inhibitors for 2 weeks. Do you think that it's necessary to take it so that the esophagus could heal in this time? Or is it harmful even for 2 weeks?

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Месяц назад

      Hi @mianshahmirali1607,
      I’m glad you found the video helpful! If Rennie tablets and baking soda haven’t worked, your doctor’s suggestion to use Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) could be a good step to help heal your esophagus and manage acid reflux.
      PPIs are generally safe for short-term use, like the two weeks your doctor recommended. They work by reducing stomach acid, which can help with healing and alleviate symptoms.

      Hey Lacei,
      Thanks for watching! Melatonin is primarily known for its sleep-inducing properties, so it's typically recommended for nighttime use. However, everyone's body is different.
      Some people find that taking melatonin during the day can help. But if you're concerned about feeling sluggish, it might be best to stick to taking it at night.

    I will try diaphragmatic breathing and melatonin. Regarding experience with GERD, 23 years of non stop acid reflux. Several endoscopies found undisgested food and gastritis. On top of that impossible to get rid of parasites, flat worm and liver fluke. Tried everything, nothing worked but acupuncture for a little while. I had hpylori and ulcers, but not anymore.

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Год назад

      Thank you for sharing your experience with GERD and your efforts to manage it. It sounds like you have tried a lot of different things to find relief, including acupuncture, which helped for a little while. It can be frustrating to deal with a chronic condition like this, especially when other health issues like parasites are also present.
      Diaphragmatic breathing and melatonin are two options that may provide some relief for GERD symptoms. Diaphragmatic breathing can help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can contribute to GERD symptoms. Melatonin has been shown to have a protective effect on the esophagus and may help to reduce symptoms of GERD.
      It's important to continue working with your healthcare provider to find a management plan that works for you. They may also be able to suggest additional options, such as medications or dietary changes, to help manage your GERD symptoms. Best of luck on your journey to finding relief.
      Please feel free to arrange a meeting with me so that we may talk about your health and wellbeing objectives: bit.ly/3EmExdU
