When you put the helmet on and sat on the scooter, you looked like the Stig riding a toaster. It looks like a futuristic scooter from a Saturday morning cartoon.
And I was impressed by the floor of our Gen1 CR-V which converted into a picnic table. "Look mommy, that man's driving an iPad!!" Fine grade leather on the handlebars. Dyno run! Take it to the RC racetrack.
Interesting - at 13:19, the in-app graphic of the Motocompacto isn't the same as the final production model. This prototype appears to have a foldaway seat, and two carrying handles, in addition to a different rear fender. I wonder why they got rid of those features.
Great review 👍 Yeah this modern moto compacto is kool but I prefer the future retro look of the '86 moto compacto. Its a WALL-E vs EVE thing 🤭 Thats why I like the Katalis Spacebar. Its more expensive but it retains the look and style of Honda's og scooter but its electric. #katalis
I'd pay $400 but not $1000. My Lectric XP 2.0($800) fits perfectly in the back of my k swapped Honda Fit for my surf trips. Too bad they stopped making them.
I'm considering buying one of these to bring to large car show events that my family and I attend throughout the summer. Some shows are so big you can rent 4-wheel scooters at the event, but I'm thinking maybe I buy one of these to stick in the truck of our classic car. My main concern is how long the battery will last throughout the day. In the past when we have rented scooters at the events you may do 2-3 large laps around the events and everyone takes turns using it. Any insight on how long the battery lasts before needing to recharge? And is it possible to recharge one of these with a power bank?
We use ours all the time. I’ve just did 10 miles and came back with 22% battery. If you don’t floor it everywhere ( full power) it should last all day no problem.
It's such a beautiful design, but lacks common sense! Those wheels look like something from a kick and go scooter, and you know how jarring that can be on any bump or Crack. Hoping v2 will address riding on realistic road conditions. I bet this thing would be awesome in a huge factory or warehouse with smooth floors though!
What would you recommend? I need something can easily carry through the office and plug in by my desk without taking up too much space. 7 mile commute I don't care how fast
@Randald We have several scooters and the Honda is our favorite. 12 mile range, 3.5 hour charge time. Room for drinks and snacks and can carry 265lbs. Plus it folds up small and fit in anything.
@LHTPerformance the storage big enough for a laptop and seat are making a big difference for me. It seems fun for commuting in nice weather when my cars won't stop breaking and perfect for throwing in the trunk/boat.
It makes a lot of sense for a subway commuter. In NYC you can't bring most bulky ebikes onto the subway or bus, and most workplaces wouldn't allow storage inside, while the theft of them or their batteries is sky high left outside. It's perfect for Japan where you could scoot to the subway, carry it on and out of the terminal, and then ride it the rest of the way to work and stow it under your desk to charge... But they're not selling them in Japan, only USA, which seems very odd.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just got mine and its super fun to ride! I'm definitely keeping this and my ap2 for awhile.

Yea. We noticed that too. Interesting
A lot of satisfying sounding 'clicks' during the assembly process 😄👍.
Great in depth review!
Maybe knocking on the door of 223!😂😂😂 And the skid into the garage... LOVE THE SPIRIT🤘[H]🤘
cool Motocompacto XL!
Great review 👍

Wished I still worked for Acura. I’d probably have one by now. But now it looks like I’m going to be waiting for months to get one.
I think they are more popular than Honda expected.

Love your version 🤣

@@LHTPerformance Thats great to know! Thanks! Any idea if you can charge this with a portable power bank?
@@jhelmuth87 I’m sure anything with a 110v out. Charging time is around 3.5 hours.
Manual set up is nice. Imagine having to wait for auto setup 🙄
Interesting how Mode one turns it up to 11... Motocompacto at the Dragon?
I think it would make it all the way. lol.
I'd love to see one converted to gasoline. I'd bet that a Liquid Piston rotary would be small enough to fit in there.
The OG ones in the 80's were gas powered.. same engine as the Spree.. good luck finding one though
@@rogerwilco1777 I'm familiar with them.
what about going up a hill?? can it go?tnx!
Not very well. lol.
Enjoy your Honda Motocompacto
Enjoy the ride 👍🏻
I only got 9.9 miles on mode 2… to be fair it was a hilly route ….
It’s actually not for what it is.
Behold! The love child of a drone from the movie Oblivion and the mini-bike from Dumb and Dumber!!!

Needs better lights for night time.
I agree. They are about the same as a bicycle light. The back light and stop light is super bright.
If only it fit in the S2000 trunk!
If you remove the spare wheel it’s fits nicely
Omg i want one of these sooo bad!!
That thing looks like it's beating you to death. 😂😂
lol. It definitely gives you feedback on the road conditions. 🤣🤣
Can it make it up steep-ish hills?
Depends on your weight. It flys with my Son on it. It still hits 16mph but accelerates way faster.
It’ll hit 20mph if u slap a ricer wing in the back. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Just hate it’s made in China and not JDM....1k for a Chinese scooter is a deal breaker for me.
Incomparable to the motocompo.
Not hard to get anymore.
My honda ruckus cost 950%
Haha #ScooterGang
He beat Russ is Right to it. ruclips.net/user/RussIsRight
lol. Takes me back to the BMX days.
Make it better lol
Make it gas powered….
I’m trying to save the planet over here 🤣🤣🤣
@@LHTPerformanceyea that environmental friendly lithium strip mines
@@billygribble9939 Exactly. That was sarcasm btw
@@billygribble9939 yeah cause oil doesnt come at any cost 🙄
@@rogerwilco1777 that's correct it's cheap plentiful and doesn't come from fossils.
look like made in china quality.. not made in japan
This makes no sense in this age and time... there are way better/cheaper/faster/longer range/better looking electric transportation devices 😅
