Sabaton used the same technique to get the marching soldiers sound as Judas Priest did for Metal Gods, shaking a box of silverware.
Those spikes spinning around the screen are something Sabaton puts in their lyric videos for songs from the album Attero Dominatus.
It was also on the album cover of Attero Dominatus.
Those spikes are pikklehelmets
Whenever I listen to this song, the vision of rows and rows of soldiers marching steadfast. Chilling!
Death martch for the drums is extremely accurate
Yesterday I was watching reactions of other RUclipsrs and was thinking: "Man why JMM don't react to more great Sabaton Songs?". And now here we are!
It says something big about both Sabaton as a band and their fans, that they actually played Rise of Evil in Israel in 2010... and the audience (likely mostly jews) loved it.

I got chills when I listen to this song. I love the song, but the theme and the gloomy mood... Sabaton made this song is perfect. Btw, there is a version where somebody made with scenes from the movie Hitler- The Rise of Evil. Yeah, chills.
I’m not sure if y’all can hear it, but they are chanting something at the end of the song. What they’re chanting is: rise
That is so cool. Thanks for pointing that out!
Interesting how the thought of having family members even only potentially involved in "something horrible" discomforts you while i am sitting here with a lot of family members who were in the kaisers army and in the wehrmacht and it was always completely normal to me..
Well yes, they do take a side, but they also make good songs about the perspective of the other side, like Ghost Division, Wolfpack or Bismark. But it doesn't mean that they support them, that is what they mean by that.
Probably their best song IMO, this one, Karolinens Bön, Uprising are my top 3
and you like the state of Berlin or Paris today ?
i dont know what you mean here.there's like 6 ways this question could be angling
Taking sides you say. What side would that be?
8:00 Thank you for calling out all the idiots still claiming Sabaton doesn't choose sides. Almost every song is painting one side as heroic, they are taking a side in the song. In the grander picture they're probably more neutral because they sing of many different countries and conflicts but saying "they just tell stories, they don't pick sides" is idiotic.
its a little more nuanced as simply not picking sides. Sabaton has a few songs about german units and soldiers that are quite outspoken about its heroics, from both world wars. The thing with sabaton though, is that they are objective. They themselves explain in one of the history videos they made, that the unit or soldier cant be a war criminal. Ghost division is such an example (Rommel was not a war criminal), or stormtroopers, red baron to name a few. But when talking about the regime itself, or the SS...it DEFINATLY picks a side, as the title here reflects. And to be fair, it is the right approach.

Fun fact is the living space Hitler spoke of was todays Ukraine a soil so fertile you can pretty much put anything in it, Apart from the amazonas there are no other space on earth with better soil than in Ukraine. It was so important that at the enf of ww2 Hitler ordered trainwagons full of ukrainian dirt into the heartland of Germany. Does this raise any warning bells today yet? They know the world is in trouble now its time to secure the best resources on earth,
