Given that Barabbas means son of his father or son of the father effectively the crowd said they did not want the son of God but the son of the devil. they rejected God and to keep their own greed and pride etc they could not do otherwise as they would have had to change and be converted. That is what we all face, do we want God or Satan, remember Jesus said we would serve one or the other but never both one you will hate ie in this case Jesus and one you will love ie the self/satan. I am taking reference from a satanist who claimed that to serve satan is to serve yourself, makes sense to me and what is the world mantra nowdays? DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.... straight from the first rule of the satanic law. So we live in a world full of satanists who follow their father and reject God.

If what we are going through isn't the great apostasy then I am glad I don't live then. On the subject of Saint Pius X's thoughts about a prefigurement we should note that things, as bad as they were and they were getting worse by the day then, were still so much better one hundred years ago. The whole Catholic world has now apostasized. Just about the whole hierarchy and laity of the Catholic Church seems, by their behavior, to have rejected the Faith. If this is a prefiguring, a 'minor' apostasy, then what what would a major apostasy look like?
Should I add that the Jews are back in and ruling the land that lies between the river and the sea? I have been to Jerusalem and I can say that, while there are still Gentiles living there in large numbers in the Arab section of the city, that city is by no means "trodden down by Gentiles" anymore as our Lord promised that it would be "until the times of the nations are fulfilled."
Do I need to mention that men are marrying men and women are marrying women across the now apostate Catholic world, and that this particular idiocy has NEVER before been seen in human history? Might this not portend something Father?
There may be a coming Catholic restoration, I don't know. I know that certain mystics have predicted it and I would love to see it though Our Lady never quite specified what a "period of peace" meant at Fatima. Private revelation is one thing though and Sacred Scripture is another. We see in our day the massive working of the "operation of error" that Saint Paul foretold concerning the days preceding and the days of antichrist. And I have to admit that it would seem strange to see an almost complete global apostasy in our time, followed by a complete restoration, then followed by another complete global apostasy at the end of time, but the Almighty does as He wills.
I do not wish to see antichrist in my lifetime. Really I do not. No sane person does. Nor do I claim to be a prophet but it would be foolish to ignore the signs of the times.
Pray and keep watch.
This was 4 years ago, even more true now--will get worse, unless we pray and fast and heaven intervenes. I suggest we fast and pray often. It could turn around. Let's not lose hope!

I wonder while in Jerusalem did you take a poll as to how many Jews lived there, and how many Gentiles lived there? Seeing that Muslims aren't Jews, that makes the Gentiles doesn't it, seeing Gentile means non jew. Also if Jesus Christ said it, then that's what happens, no questions.

Second, I'm Coptic Orthodox, which technically means I'm Catholic but not Roman Catholic, although still Apostolic, does that mean I have no salvation? Jfk would never have been chosen as President if he did not swear to not uphold the Catholic Faith. The Protestants would not have voted for him and i guess they were in the majority. Who is this Priest?

Jennifer Wilson, I don't see that. I see a man, Trump, who is steeped in worldly things. I see a man who has no clue of what heaven and hell is about nor does he concern himself with these things. I see a man who uses whatever means is necessary to disguise and obtain what he wants not what he needs. I see a man who will profess that he wants abortion abolished but I see anyone dealing with him as dealing a Faustian deal. You have answered my question about who would support a man who is all about himself. You people go personal. I made general comments. You attack my person! You say I'm not Catholic if I don't think like you. Jesus was attacked for sitting down with Gentiles. Shame, shame on you. You just realized you are on a religious site? I refuse to watch propaganda. People followed the Pharisees and Sadducees shouting "Crucify Him". I'm sure those 2 groups did many great things, too. Here's the problem: they were liars and cheats. They worshiped themselves and rejected the son of God. Jesus didn't embrace them. He cursed, yes, cursed them. He embraced those who accepted His Father. What is a man? Made from dust and returning to dust. Only God, the Father, Jesus, His Divine Son an the Holy Ghost are immortal.
Here is the most important question you are missing: not what Trump is doing to bring prosperity to a certain group of people like the Pharisees did. The question is, what is Trump doing to lead more people to God? That is what we all should be asking of every political candidate. Trump is a divider, he doesn't unit. He brings chaos and disrupts harmony. He cuddles Putin, Kim Jong Un, and those who are destroyers. He rejects peace treaties. Is Trump doing God's work?
Now you can get personal and call me names like the people who rejected Jesus called Him names. Or, you can stick to the facts. A man who is doing all in his power to enrich himself while knowingly hurting others in the process is not the kind of person I want to lead me.
There is nothing that Trump can do for me. Accepting anything from him is like biting the apple. And I won't do that. And, I won't advocate to anyone to bite that apple. Yes, it will bring knowledge and wisdom but I defer to not wanting to be a god. I would rather be LIKE God.
I put ALL of my trust, hope, faith and love in the one true God. I will never, ever, put my trust and belief in anyone else. Those who reject Our Father, and suffering for the sake of doing His business, will accept the poisoned apple that will lead to their demise. I will remain a poor simpleton who loves God with all my heart, soul and mind. There is nothing Trump can do for or offer me. Not even getting rid of Roe v. Wade. The devil puts desirable things in our face to enrich us. But his true aim is to take our souls. He offered Jesus good things. In themselves those things were not evil. It was what he was asking in return from Jesus that was evil.
I rest my case and feel good that in the process I didn't go the route of defaming you in any way.
