- This video is part 1 of my new series "Planes, Trains, Automobiles, Feet, a Ferry, and a Spaceship" that I took with my sister, brother-in-law, and their family in late July 2024. This trip was so much fun, and I am so happy to get to share it with you!
We left Charleston, WV on the Amtrak Cardinal and traveled overnight to Chicago, Illinois. There, we met my dad and stepmom, who flew in a few days before, to take Amtrak's Empire Builder across the country to Spokane, WA. That will be the next video, and I hope you enjoy this first installment of this new series.
Love the video! Great footage of Haddad Riverfront Park and my old office building. Chicago footage is beautiful. Can’t wait for more.
Awesome 🤩 part 1 down!! Have a great day! Yr neighbor 😊
Very nice throughout here thumbs up see you soon enjoy the weekend 👍👍🤗🤗
I love your trip
Thanks for the video. Looking forward to another great series.
Something positive in a very bad day.
Thank you from Jerusalem, Israel
@@liortepper3619 Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it and made your day better
Love that building by the river, ain't gonna say the name but we all know. May the Lord keep blessing you and your family.
@@loudmouthnewyorker2803 we love it too!! Thank you for your kind words!
I love watching videos of crowds in downtown Chas bc I'm almost guaranteed to see someone I know. I've also taken that trip to Texas via Chicago station. The Chas station was actually redone several years ago and still looks good.
@@MrGST360 I grew up just outside of Charleston as well, in fact Charleston is where my dad worked, so I had to walked along the boulevard hundreds of times in my life.
Love love love! I forgot about the other train rolling through Indy when we were walking around. It was so loud and man, what a station.
@@walkerbunch06 I still feel like we should have gone across the street to get some White Castle haha
Great video, High point, Buckingham Fountain and city background but the low point was passing up the White Castle in Indianapolis.
@@peters1127 I will be honest, it was extremely tempting to go across the street and grab some White Castle at 5:00 in the morning!
This series should be interesting.
@@stevesteffen7001 thank you very much! Hope you enjoy it
Nice video
@@johnburke1317 Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have the next video in the series ready to go but I will be honest, I'm so busy with work right now that I will be hard-pressed to get part 3 and other videos beyond ready to push out weekly
Go Colts
@@derekdestep40 yeah we had a great view of the stadium from the station platform. I've been to a game there before, for the 2019 Big en Championship football game but never an NFL game there
On the cardinal you go thu my home state of Indiana You go by Indianapolis
It’s a shame you missed the best part of the Cardinal, passing through the New River Gorge.
@@RichardinNC1 luckily I have been on the Cardinal through there before. It is in one of my older videos. Thank you for watching!
Will you be camping and sleeping in the van
@@derekdestep40 no we brought tents with us. Since there were six of us who will be camping, and since it's much easier to bring that kind of stuff on the train versus flying
