I had Square Processing for two years and in the end they changed policies for certain types of transactions of which they demanded written verification of the services I offered. Since they had no administrative liaison office I was left without any kind of solution for this problem. Like UBER, they have no office support personnel. Because of that I had to dump them in favor of National Processing who were completely helpful in getting me started up again.

I have square deactivated my account for no reason , terrible .

Square hahahahaha good one 2.6% + $0.10 on a debit. Unless you process next to nothing, square is terrible.

When you set up an account with any merchant provider, you have a change to look over your contract and pricing. The best providers make their fees easily searchable on their site or other materials. I would not recomendable square! Imposible to get ahold off! Holds money! Randomly deactivates your account and even blocks you if there is a high transaction.

Aren’t 3rd party supposed to be terrible? Pretty sure they can make or break your online service by dropping you or rolling your account.
A bank should be able to help you with a merchant account for online business.
Hi Ty! Great question. Third party processors do have an inherent risk of instability. But companies like PayPal and Square have gotten so big because they have a great product and a low barrier to entry, which is what a lot of new and small businesses need. It works for them to get off the ground. Just be informed and take steps the mitigate the risk.
Most banks do not offer a lot of value for merchant accounts. They resell services from major names at a hefty markup and tell you that you get next day deposits and *maybe* waive your business checking fees to make it seem like a deal.
A good merchant account provider will give you next day deposits anyway, and the lower costs will more than offset the $15-30/month in business checking fees. And you won't get locked into a long term contract.
The one exception to this is Chase, which we feel is actually a really good merchant account provider. In most cases though, there are at least 5 other merchant account providers we would recommend before a bank.

I just cancel my service last year. And the rep lied to me that I did not have to pay any thing, I asked twice. About 3 month later, without letter from company that I own for early termination fee, correction agent called and told me that I own them money. I called the company and explain what happen. She still did not care. And my contact would end in 2 months. You don't want to do business with the company that lie to you, right? Now, I file an complain to BBB. Next, I will file complain to my Senator and my Representative. If you don't want to waste your time and money, go find other company. Good luck
