I really hope we get Transit.
I mean Transit feels like the most likely as a figure to come down the line. He’s a concept character that actually got put in a deleted scene.
Same here. The more I hear about him, the cooler he gets.
I just transhit myself.
Same
Transit is cool and all but I don’t completely get all the hype. He appears in one deleted scene and nothing else. Feel free to correct me.
I hope they go absolutely hog wild with these. There’s no screen appearance to be held to, so they can really go all out if they want to. These could easily be some of the coolest in the whole line, but only if Hasbro doesn’t blow it
Glad I’m not the only one who wants the 07 arcee. Cuz she’s technically canon.
Also breakaway is bound to happen in gamer edition. He’s a prominent character in the latter movie games.
19:43 - 21:57 I'm more interested in retools/recolors from those very early concept designs. Who knows what can be made from them.
Pretty sure gamer edition is just for WFC and maybe FOC.
@@frenchfriedbagel7035 they said they will touch any exclusive game character.
@@treebotreviews Well they need to start branching out soon, because they are butchering the WFC characters.
A new toyline plainly called “The Concepts” will open a huge opportunity for a modernized hunt for Decepticons line.
Breakaway was also quite prominent in the ROTF video games, so he's got a good shot of happening. That, and the Mountain Dew bot became Dispensor basically
If any future “concept series” figures do well, I’d love to see them do “gamer edition, CONCEPT SERIES”
Id love Transit just because it’s Transit, and also bus.
Does anyone know if HasTak would have to license the design of the Mk4 tank to make an official Bulldog figure?
Bus is good, and has his rear as his chest.
I live taking the bus, they're so cool, si having a decepticon that turns into one would be even cooler.
Thruster Chest version of Ranger looks so good. Not having a cockpit on the chest for a jetbot is always so cool to me. Even if it’s like a Legacy Needlenose situation where the whole cone is on his back, it just makes for such a fresh take on the jet bot torso
I want all of the characters in the concept art for ROTB back when it was just supposed to be a Autobots vs Decepticons movie.
I don't think that was ever the case. I would like Transit, Bloodhound(Concept muscle car Terrorcon) and the mysterious "wall transformer"
Before I watch, Concept bought them 2 more Megatrons.
TLK Dragon Megatron and ROTB Beast Megatron.
Breakaway wasn't in the movie, but he was in the tie-in games. He was the sole flier for the Autobots ofc and helped the navy take down Seeker forces and constructicon drones. He already has the potential for a Gamer edition figure cause of his role in the games
They actually made a version of that constructicon in Studio Series. He had to be part of Devastator though, so the designers went with a concept that had only two legs.
I'd love to see the construction with the huge buzzsaw in its body get made. If only to own the Gigan of the Constructicons. Oh and Dewbot can EASILY be repainted into the other Mountain Dew flavors
16:22 If that feels familiar to anyone, that's because the design was reworked into the toy-only character Blazemaster.
Hasbro should all do a studio series side line of toys but have the mcguffin object that is either being fought for or needed to be found as full human sized prop replicas of
Didn't Wheelie specifically call out the Model T as "Seeker's Pal"?
I'd personally want the rotb optimus concept art where he was the beefy truck we saw in the gimmick toys.
It'd be in the same logic as Breakaway, but I would LOVE to get a figure of "Seeker" from the Revenge of the Fallen video game. I need that movie Skywarp
Might be a tall order, but I'm hoping they don't even limit concept art bots to movie concepts. I'm still holding out hope for Rage the Jellyfish!
There are a plethora of really cool construction designs, the one with a massive buzz saw is frankly awesome
I think Breakaway would make more sense as a Gamer Edition figure as he was in the RotF game
I definitely hope we get Transit, one of the concept art Terrorcons, even one of the Constructicons from Revenge of the Fallen as well!!! 🤞🤞🤞
Top 5 concept art Transformers characters for Studio Series I want to see Hasbro to bring to life.
1. ROTB Transit 2:48
2. TF2007 Arcee 12:29
3. ROTF Springer 15:58
4. AOE Widow Maker 17:24
5. This aircraft carrier Transformer 18:13
Bonus: ROTB Blood Hound 16:25
I want a bbm lazerbeak
That Osprey one will get my money
2:53 This carry's on from his RID 15 & IDW versions which were also Decepticon bus Transformers.
This subline has me so excited because my dream figure for the longest time has been concept art TLK Canopy. The subway alt mode, the rubble, the cloak, the mini-cons. Everything about it appeals to me.
9:33 "HE ROOKS KOOL"
Breakaway and Depth Charge would be great. Transit is definitely my number one.
I agree with all the previous comments about having Transit from the ROTB deleted scene.
As said, there have been planes, trains and automobiles... even boats and military vehicles, but a bus transformer there has never been.
After Bumblebee & ROTB my enthusiasm for Transformers has been reignited, I picked up ROTB Wheeljack purely because he turns into a VW Campervan, which is a type of vehicle I also quite like.
Also, if it wasn't obvious already from my profile. I'm a bus enthusiast from the UK, so to have a toy that combines that that renewed enjoyment of Transformers, and my longstanding appreciation for buses. Yes please
I think the best way to go about the triple changers concept art to use what ever vehicle mode is most dominant in the robot design and still get a good robot mode
I love this, they need to go bonkers, give us new versions of all the offscreen guys from the early movie toylines, imagine a deluxe or even voyager ROTF Ransack.
They need to include "Artist Series" for the SS line.
I'm rooting for all of these:
-dotm voyager class Warpath
-rotf Silverbolt and Air Raid ( Breakaway now needs to be a voyager), Osprey ( or simply a voyager class Blaze Master)
- that unused Devcon missile truck
- that armored van from rotf/ dotm
- Wreckage ( or Stryker as a voyager)
- that aircraft carrier 'con
- a voyager Depth Charge
- movie 1 concept Trailcutter/ breaker
- the 3rd twin from rotf
- movie 1 concept Ratchet into Inferno
- white "Barricade" into Prowl ( should be a diff. mustang car)
- early concept Starscream into either or both Skywarp or Thundercracker
- early concept Bee as Cliffjumper
- early concept Prime as Magnus ( blue/ white with orange flames)
- tlk dragon Megs
- that garbage truck 'con in dotm ( Brawl/ Long haul look a like)
- some protoform cons as generic cars ( dotm video games)
- maybe some movie protoform bots ( from that crashed ark)
- one of those rotf army tanks needs to be a 'bot ( as Guzzle, heavy tread, or hard head)
- tlk Submarine and...
- those vintage cars and planes as seekers!
oh....rotb Rampage could be a quadchanger ( bot, mech. king crab, crab tank, and cybertronian jet)
I always pictured depth charge as a titan, since I always thought he was meant to be that one ship in ROTF that had the gun that destroyed devastator.
I wouldn't mind seeing an SS Movie 1 Megs with his original wacko promo material head, I think that could be fun. But yes, sign me up for a concept series, I'd be all in!
16:54 I know Ask Vector Prime mentioned a Movieverse: Chromedome as one of the Seekers that turned into an NER Electric Bo-Bo Class EF1/EB1 locomotive.
17:24 I thought of her as Movieverse: Crystal Widow.
the fun thing with alot of movie 1 to 3 concept characters is that some of them made it into the tie in games, so we can expect them to make it to Gamer Edition if anything
I’d love to see a concept retool of 2007 Megatron with the more accurate 2007 chest and the original freaky alien head design.
Hope they dip into Concept Art for all the other series & games, there's gotta be lots of great material in the archives
@TJOmega I once stumbled across a hard-to-find piece of concept art for the original 2007 movie; it was Hasbro's version of Optimus' design from around 2005, and while the concept for the robot itself is still floating around, the original image also had the alt mode included (which I think was a SCHOLPP flat-nosed truck). Pretty cool look for him imo :D
RANGER could be a great Powerglide or Warpath.
15:50 This is actually Overload but with the legs split up into insect legs. They "couldn't" engineer this leg mode into the figure unfortunately.
OSPREY got a Legion class figure in green and was called Springer.
WIDOW MAKER turns into a Pagani Huayra like Stinger. You can see the taillights on her shoulders.
18:57 We got that Ratchet as Bumblebee Movie Ratchet. It's the same design.
21:04 This Bumblebee looks like the original Dropkick.
I'd be down for a couple of these.
Tbh I'd love a line like Toyworld doing Operation Skyfire WW2 and WW1 edgy concept themes for figures. That would kick ass
Great intro ❤
Technically Dispensor showed up in the movie, so he doesn't need to be concept series. In fact, it might be better if he doesn't; that way we might get the can-cannon he had in the movie!😆
Anyway, here's a few I'd like to see from the top of my head outside of the video:
- 86 movie (surprised none of those were on the list): the Anibots/Dragon Beast (Autobot proto-Predacons that combine into a dragon), humanoid head-swapping Quintessons, the Ultra Magnus design that inspired Orion Pax, Cybertron's robot mode, Unicron's moon/insectoid Mini-Me.
- ROTF: the Hive Insecticon combiner/proto-Reedman, the proto-Driller that turned into a submarine, the Fallen with an Aurora stealth bomber mode (not that I actually like the Fallen with an Earth mode, but it'd be nice to have a figure with a better alt-mode than "robot in yoga pose")
- TLK: Canopy either in its subway train or modified "rusted" Optimus designs (I actually prefer the one from the movie, but I just want some representation of the guy; I don't know why, but he's my favorite part of that mess of the movie. Probalby because his relationship with Izabella and Sqweeks feels more Autobot-like than the rest of the Autobot cast)
17:44
Reminds me of the "Pretender" character that Nearly killed Sam
That College girl transformed into this but without the color....... I think
I remember most of these concept arts, but I love 18:13 just because of how scary it looks. Imagine working for Nest or being an autobot, and having to fight this thing. Idc how much you pay me, you can give me the entire world’s worth of money, and I’d quit.
Something awesome to see would be the original bumblebee and Soundwave designs from the very first trailer in 2005, Soundwave was a helicopter and bumblebee was an even older Camaro from what I remember
The helicopter bot with the lance is pretty cool, but I'm worried they'd make it a two-blade helicopter again, and it should really be at least four if it's for military use.
A design I liked and found it outright criminal was never used was the HMS Alliance from Last Knight, like even in the final movie they imply its secretly an autobot but doesn’t have an actual character design in the final film and its concept art looks really cool, although with how aquatic transformers tend to be alongside it being based on a real life World War 2 relic might make things complicated
the concept bumblebee still has its "Bumblebee stop lubricating the man," cap
I want a Studio Series Breakaway
It's somewwhat of an Aside but I would love some of the designs from the Bumblebee "Prequel" comic, particularly Blitzwing who was a triple changer, and unlike Shatter and Dropkick could possibly be a triple changer, given that he has the bulk to be a leader pricepoint, as well as Bumblebee as an Aston.
transit would be cool. but i'm worry if they might make him he'll end up being a shellformer for being the first transformer to turned into a nyc bus.
Well, technically he already has some shell. His coattails are bus chunks. It's actually a smart use of said shell.
I said it before and I'll say it again.I would pray to the heavens if we would get a leader/commander class dotm Astrotrain Or leader class rotf Lougnut we have concept art of them both but those are my anticipated figures
There's also the unused Volkswagen Bug version of Bumblebee that was originally intended for the Bumblebee movie. He was to have more prominent Bayverse design aspects. While ROTB Bumbleebee does become a Camaro and thus has a somewhat stronger Bayverse feel (ROTB Bumblebee is my favorite design for him in the movies), it's still nothing compared to the original design concept.
Interesting thing to note is that this old concept design had wing doors before Bumbleebee would get them back in ROTB.
It'd be cool just to see repaints of SS figures. I want to see a SS Nightwatch Optimus Prime or any other repaint that existed during the first three film toy lines.
I wouldn’t mind them going back to try and remake some of the older figures in the line, but actually doing a good job unlike Soundwave from ROTF
>HMS Alliance (TLK Submarine)
>TLK Barricade, when he was closer to his original design
>ROTF Stratosphere (though he could probably get away with Gamer edition, on account of him being a boss in DOTM)
>While not concept art per se, I'd love to see some of the designs from the BBM prequel comic (Mainly Blitzwing and Diabla)
>Gamer Edition DOTM SUV Soundwave
but, knowing Hasbro, the 'concept art' series will probably just be used to do "G1 guy, but BBM"
honestly, I hope we get a redo of alot of the scout class from the ROTF/HFTD line.
I would a bumblebee movie concept art Laserbeak for Soundwave.
I would like to see.👏
I am not a big fan of the bayverse aesthetic but I would be down to for a Mountain Dew bot and Widow Maker, she looks cool, even if she doesn’t really feel like a transformer.
The 07 videogame version of shockwave would be cool
Give me all of the 07 concepts, ALL OF THEM
2:57 Hear me out, but I can see Hasbro using the SS ROTB Wheeljack mold and retool it for Transit since both of their alt modes already had a similar shape going on.
15:43 Isn't Overload partially based on this?
Transtech would be perfect for Studio Series.
As nice as it would be to get new toys of designs like Breakaway, Mindwipe or Wreckage, I get the suspicion that the "Concept Art" characters have only been done to get more mileage out of Bumblebee's opening scene because it's massively popular. I hope I'm wrong and we do get some new figures of those Bayverse concept designs, but we'll see.
15:50 they did this guy. Overload. They had to ditch the four legs to make it woro
What about that Bumble movie decepticon concept artwork of said Transformer being primarily white, having vents on the shoulders, and having a red visor? Or that cyclops decepticon having one eye, is a mix of black and white, and turns into a truck? There's also Ranger as well. Heck, I could see a retooled Blitzwing toy based on the original design from one of the trailers. He was potentially originally going to be Starscream (if so, they made the right story decision to make him Blitzwing instead) and having the retooled toy named as Starscream would likely sell well.
Transit retools:
Bus from Speed.
RV from Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
RV from Breaking Bad.
London Bus.
Multiple Campers.
Personally, I just want a Gamer/Concept Edition Shockwave from the original movie's game, that design was awesome
That or prime Ironhide he's Soo sick
We still need a Studio Series Mountain Dew Bot.
Yes please! We are getting plenty of crossover figures, so why not go for it now?
15:56/15:57/16:15 Isn't that what Movieverse Springer is based on?
Same with Incinerator & Blazemaster.
I would LOVE a new Rampage
Make them all so they will be known!
Dangerous setting a new precedent… 😅
I would like a Widowmaker but the name could be copyrighted so that might be an issue
I'd love to get a 1:1 representation of the concept art of optimal Optimus primal but I know that will never happen
2007 Arcee would be guaranteed to be a Core Class figure due to her size and chosen vehicle mode
i need concept overload
rotf constructicons are my fave
I hope they don't make it able to combine, otherwise it will see some sacrifice for a mode not alot of ppl are going to use
Depending on how far Studio Series designers want to take the whole Concept subline, there is a particular Bumblebee movie Soundwave concept design that I’d love to see be made into an actual figure down the line.
This particular Soundwave concept design has him with a more G1 inspired head (much more G1 inspired when compared to the blockier and squarish head they chose for the official design), broader shoulders, and the chest window on him is sort of in the shape of an upside down trapezoid.
The primary reason I’d want to see this specific concept design made into a figure is because I think it looks cooler than the official BB movie Soundwave (not to say I don’t like that design), but I also think the aspects of this concept design could also help give a better transformation. The specific design of the chest and the larger shoulders could lean more into an alt mode akin to Soundwave’s WFC/FOC vehicle mode. Or they could use the aspects of this concept design to make a better transformation for the alt mode they gave to the official Soundwave design (except this time the shaping of the chest wouldn’t have a need to change its shape and thus not require a faux-forming cockpit).
And given that they’re giving us concept figures for Soundwave’s other mini-cons, a concept BB movie Soundwave could be useful down the line for people who didn’t get the SS 83 Soundwave figure.
13:56
I'd love to see that Mountain Dew Robot become an actual toy; even if they had to scrub away the Mountain Dew name for legal reasons.
14:36
I'm still glad to this day Michael Bay realized that design wasn't going to work out. The over-prominence of blue and the drastically different head make this feel too little like Optimus.
19:46
As much as people make fun of Bayverse Starscream's Doritos body, I'll still take that over that original design concept. Besides, the F-22 is a big fighter and mass shift isn't a thing with Michael Bay, so that bulk has to go somewhere. If that original design concept did end up having its own toy, I'd want it in the traditional Starscream colors or heck maybe even Energon Starscream's first color scheme.
18:16 I think that is supposed to be a submarine, is smaller than the air carrier and has those circular shapes
2:56 simple the bus bonecrusher splits in two in the 07 movie
No core class for the Mountain Dew machine make a titan class and give him a deluxe Mountain Dew can that can transform.
For me it was the combaticons and menasor
Breakaway, I expect we could get in Gamer Edition
Do Transit and then go REALLY wild and redo him into Bendy Bus Prime
i want that osprey springer
SS86 concept Unicron but it's the toy concept and they just finally release our round boi
Twins, maybe?
In the same vein as Breakaway, how about the Warpath design from the DOTM game? He's delightfully chunky.
Widowmaker has the same vehicle mode as stinger from tf4, a pagani
I would sell myself for a concept overload that works and looks better on Devi.
20:00 literally just after make a machine wars screamer from this
21:30 Same and THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN ARMADA SIDESWIPE BUT GOOD!!!
13:57 AKA Dispensor.
There were rumors of a rotf Breakaway before mb now that gamer edition is a thing they will do it
Man that concept Starscream looks like if you've fused G2 and prime Starscream together.
I mean breakaway actually might make the most sense and is most likely just make it a gamer edition he was in the transformers revenge of the fallen game
Ratchet I would really like to see because it's not only closer to the original design but it's also closer to the real vehicle design. People keep saying the puke green are real emergency vehicles but where do you ever see one? That movie came out in 2007, it's almost 2024 and I still have never seen that puke green humor outside of the Bayfilms. Even when I try to look it up on Google the only images that ever come up are pictures of the vehicle from the movies. I sware that vehicle does not exist IRL. I mean technically it does but there are civillian humors in that color.
The main reason that they choose colors for emergency vehicles is so they stand out and are easily spotted from civilan cars. But if a color blind person like myself can't tell the difference between an emergancy vehicle and a common civilan vehicle, that's a safty hazard and they're never going to use that color lay out.
The Constructicon Overload they technically already made that design in Studio Series. Concept series wasn't a thing yet but because they actually made a movie Devastator which Overload is a component of they had to make Overload even though the robot design was never in the movie. They did use the concept art for what the robot modes were suppose to look like so any Constructicon is not likely to ever get touched again when they were already made just to complete Studio Series Devastator.
The Bumblebee concept art is another one I hope we get at some point because it actually looks like a Bumblebee. I've been complaining about that head design for YEARS even in the Bumblebee movie they still didn't make him look like Bumblebee but that concept art has the right shapes to the hemet with the little horns and his face isn't nightmare fuel. I don't care that he's not a VW like the original that head design makes him look more like Bumblebee than the Bumblebee movie design. Transformers can scan whatever alt mode they want, I don't really care as long as the robot still looks correct and that concept design Bumblebee is hitting all the right notes.
I do hope we get more than just movie concept designs though cause this would be a perfect place to release unused Transformers concepts like Transtech and that's the thing I want to see the most is a fully realized Transtech toy line.
There were 2 different Overload concepts. TJ was asking for the one Studio Series _didn't_ go with.
And as someone who _does_ like Bayverse Ratchet's design (I don't give a crap that it's not a real vehicle in this case, and it's realistic enough), I still really like how that concept one looks and would really like a figure of that to exist.
Also look up airport firetrucks in the US. Those can come in a similar green shade, though I don't know (or care) if ambulances ever do in the US (they do in some countries I think).
