He also demonstrated perfectly good etiquette. After he was finished showing off, he respectfully went back to the playing "area" thing place, and shook his opponent's hand. ^_^
@peperonyandchease if you think Tokido just showing off some random ultra finish, then you are wrong. Tokido planed this out come before the matches were even started. he used 1st set to learn ClakeyD's style, and 2nd set to adjust his plans, and before the 3rd set he took his jacket off (very important), and 3rd set let Clakey to beat him to fill ultra and used 4 demon flips to bait Clakey's EX DP with kurai counter with lv2 focus. then finish off with raging demon. worthy of a Tokido Pose.
@peperonyandchease since i have time, let me tell you how that 2nd match of the 3rd set ended. after Tokido ready to finish Clakey off, you used a few steps to set up last Raging demon. 1, 2 slow low jabs to bait EX DP, 2, 2 demon flip kick delay throw, 3, demon flip throw, 4, fake demon flip safey jump. 5, focus - raging demon finish.
@ignitionr34 that wasnt an insult. thats what people call him. i believe tokido himself approves of it as well. this name was given because he would always play what he felt like were the cheapest characters in the games he played. this was said evo 2k9 by the keits and ski sonic so correct me if im wrong anyone
@mauriceliabc I was at the SoCal regionals and watched Marn play MVC3 and he is not as fat as people make him out to be. He just slouches a lot and is just overall a sloppy dresser.
Marn was in the audience going apesh*t when this happened... Tokido managed to get crowd cheers for taunting, both in-game, and in-person. His words after the finals were over: "Too Salty"
Gee, and people call EVO Moment 37 the greatest moment in competitive Street Fighter. Don't get me wrong, the parry was awesome, but I didn't see Daigo doing something as badass as Tokido did here.
Trollkido coming from Japan just to teach Americans how to play their favorite fighting games by trolling their tourneys and taking their money. God I love it!
@iNfeSteD801 yeah man he dropped the combo and Daigo punished him still though he was pretty dominant not letting him get comfortable it was a crazy and tough match
@diasflac0g you missed the point, it's really not that complicated at all: JWong's "celebration" style is either lame or disrespectful, or both. Had Tokido done something exactly like what JWong does, no doubt people would've said the same thing. Tokido's "stunt" was very clever, and that's what this is about. He got Akuma's "Ten" (kanji for heaven) to actually appear on the back of his t-shirt. That's really cool. If I wanted to watch a fat nerd jumping around, I'd youtube that numa boy.
One of the deadliest flexes in FGC history.
So this is why ClakeyD quit fighting games to be a full time league player
Does he make a lot of money playing lol?
@@ninjaninja9954 probs they make more money then us cus prizes are more hefty
Tokido confirmed for fucking awesome.
3 years latter EVO champion, really awesome
One of the greatest moments in FGC history.
one of the illest moments in SF4 if not all of Street Fighter
Gamma Flurry nah still not better than daigo ryu vs chun li
Nothing has topped EVO moment 37
@@joey2765 daigo Ken
Hearing something cool being described as "ill" is such a throwback. Feel like I'm 10 years old again
This is how you hype. You show 'em, Tokido. XD
This is the greatest thing in the history of forever.
what the fuck
it's fun to genuinely laugh
So this is where you won all those millions of dollars.
imdabes
You actually got Tokido's pose on camera?!
love Tokido!! my favorite player alongside Daigo. Still heartbroken that he couldn't win evo!
But still, you're awesome Tokido san!!
Hello from 2018, boy have I got some great news for you!
fr you must be a happy camper
Hello from 2022. How big is your weiner now?
Yeah tokido, daigo and infiltration are the best players ever.
glad someone caught this on video. so glad I watched this on the live stream though, it was so great.
He also demonstrated perfectly good etiquette. After he was finished showing off, he respectfully went back to the playing "area" thing place, and shook his opponent's hand. ^_^
Tokido, best Akuma in the world.
Thanks for sharing this epic moment!
its been like, 3 days since the scr, & i still can not get enough of this. its toooooooooooooooooo beastly!!!
Whos back now watching this after the Akuma SF6 Gameplay trailer?
Me
yesss!!!!
One of the most badass moments in Street Fighter history.
And keep in mind, this came from Hungrybox's friendly rival in Jenga.
A prelude to greatness
Shoryuken Death prelude? Tokido was already known as one of the greats *years* before this
tokido showing american plebs how it's done
Almost forgot to watch this today
YES!!!! I'm glad you took this video because a bunch of us missed our chance to take pictures. It was an awesome moment.
come on, this was awesome. It's all for fun. Dude went back, bowed and shook hands with Clakey; still classy.
Best part of socal regionals. I laughed so hard when I saw it on the stream.
that's what I'm talking about! that's why he is the MVP! that's he is the GOAT the G.O.A.T.!!!!
So godlike hahaha. I literally was clapping and laughing my ass off while watching stream.
13 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.
Imagine if this weren't recorded
This video/footage needs to be preserved and duplicated. It cannot be lost.
THIS IS MESSATSU... :D
loved his psoing at the end, true gouki/akuma-style
It's going to be remembered for a long time.... I bet it's going to be on SoCal 2011 preview
I tattooed the akuma sigil on my back and played akuma with my shirt off and posed with the akuma pose every Time I hit someone with raging demon
Even when tokido doesnt play well he knows how to put on a show
Real life ultra finish! XD The only thing left to see now is Daigo throwing a hadouken in real life :3
lol badass
Fancy seeing you here lol
Nice ui goku combo vid bro
Chowphatty 🙏 thanks, but how did you dig up this comment 😅
This shit was so fucking sick back then damn what a mad lad

a legend was born
Tokido must now do this every time he wins with an epic raging demon.
This is the best street fighter moment! TOKIDOOO!!!!!!!
One word:
Legend.
This man is hereby a legend.
What a fucking legend lmao
Imagine if Tokido did the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan (fist slam) super art from 3rd Strike and Akuma's win screen
When did JWong ever do anything as cool as this?
one of the greatest things ive ever seen
Tokido is the only person allowed to play as Akuma for the rest of eternity.
TOKIDO WHY ARE YOU SO COOL!?
yea I know. I'm just tired of seeing shotos all of the time in tourneys. It's good to see someone new like ibuki. She is kick-ass in the right hands.
Tokido was legit rehearsing for this moment
@ignitionr34 that wasnt an insult. thats what people call him. i believe tokido himself approves of it as well. this name was given because he would always play what he felt like were the cheapest characters in the games he played. this was said evo 2k9 by the keits and ski sonic so correct me if im wrong anyone

That was great. The place wen wild when it happened.
btw the player using Ibuki is 'Clakey D' not 'Flakky'.
i feel so bad for the photographer who missed the shot of his entire life by less than an second
Haha, thanks for that. i was hoping somebody got that recorded.
i agree with you 10000000%
imagine if daigo did something similar, like a shoryuken... the world would explode from the oddness.
@kentliu it's on SRK, he posted an explanation. Lemme see if I can find the link.
Marn was in the audience going apesh*t when this happened... Tokido managed to get crowd cheers for taunting, both in-game, and in-person. His words after the finals were over: "Too Salty"

He's officially my hero.
man mago how come you never come over to the u.s.
@NEresTy
He was born in America but lives and grew up in Japan.
If Justin Wong had done that pose people would be talking about how cocky it was.
Did he only get part of the symbol on his back?
Just skip to 1:50 . It's all you need.
That was so sick!
Funny when i kill someone in FFXVane, I email them, "Messatsu".
Swag Tokido!!!
This is what I love about the FGC, dweebs but cool dweebs
@ushiwakamaru30 care to explain the whole story?
Somewhere JR. Rodriguez sheds a tear.
All we were missing was the Ashura glide. Fucking bomb
Trollkido coming from Japan just to teach Americans how to play their favorite fighting games by trolling their tourneys and taking their money. God I love it!
hahahha how can you not like Tokido? That move was great...Its the main reason why I play Akuma.
The most hype video ever!
That shit was epic... definitely gonna be a classic moment.
The definition of badass!
@peterhuynh2k7 ... i completely agree.
Tokido is now my favorite Akuma.
Oh shit let’s go. Sick
The hype is real!
legendary moment
A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
@iNfeSteD801 yeah man he dropped the combo and Daigo punished him still though he was pretty dominant not letting him get comfortable it was a crazy and tough match
Tokido is just so fucking godlike
@wswUnWanted Oni was not banned... he's like bottom tier. He isn't a viable character for a competition like Evo. That's why no one played him.
Tokido, take a bow you legend
Yo dawg, I herd you like my Akuma, so I Akuma'd while I Akuma'd.
GREATEST WIN IN SF4 FOREVER
Atomic BM. Love it.
We'd all stand up and do that.
that was so cool!

He is Akuma.
Tokido taunts IRL for mind games.
Oh fuck that we would have had 2 (Square Up) after that disrespect...LOL
Man, if only this was a bit more perfect..
Then again, maybe it would be too perfect, so perfect that its badassery can kill people.
Tokido, the Real Beast ^_^
Godlike ending is GODLIKE!!!
@diasflac0g
You can't take Tokido seriously though. The dude's just plain lovable! :P
XD Tokido
It's funny because hes one of the best akumas in the world.
SoCal Regionals-Tokido ryuvs Clakey D
